Mill Creek Nature Park Trails

This trail starts out easy then goes moderate  to extreme in places  be prepared. The first falls is a little of a let down But the second falls are wonderful. The trail to the 2nd falls is steep .

Great place to hike. Took the family on the waterfalls trail. Hidden gems all along the way. One of our favorite hikes we’ve been on in the area so far! Little more strenuous than say the Cascade hike but definitely do-able if you have no major aliments.

Absolutely beautiful area. The trail to the waterfall (1.3 miles) is the most traversed area, but there are many trails in this area to explore. We’ve done the loop (5 miles) and gone to Sentinel Point and back (8 miles). Just be careful. We almost ran right into a rattlesnake on our way up to the Point (dog got within two feet of it before we realized and started yelling at her to come back - she did!)

We recently hiked this trail. It follows the Mill Creek with a steady ascent. If you go to the upper falls it gets very steep but not that long. Very scenic following alongside Mill Creek.

Fantastic trail. Suitable for a hearty trail dog. Be sure to follow all waterfall signs marked on the trail map (which is a MUST to pick up at the kiosk across from the parking area.) Access the trail by walking across the grassy area opposite the parking lot.

It's nice that the trails loop back together so you can go different ways. Nice waterfall and pool. The trails are Rocky so shoes with ankle support are helpful.

It is a Trail, that you have to Hike, not a path, be prepared, and get a map or take a pic of the one displayed. Wear proper clothing/shoes. Don't take your dog unless they are trained for it. You can spend a half-hour or 5 hours there. Absolutely beautiful place, any time of the year. Go see it before it is overrun. I started hiking there about 10 yrs ago. It has since been upgraded/cleared quite a bit. I encountered a bear on my first visit. Just be respectful.

This is a hidden gem of the area. These trails are beautiful with lots of rhododendron and mountain laurel. Nice waterfalls that shrink when there is little rain, but a nice alternative to the crowds at the Cascades. In summer the waterfall trail is especially nice because the temperatures under the tree cover are much lower than elsewhere. If you're not up for a big hike, the Mill Creek by the parking lot is great for mountain stream exploration, for kids of all ages.

My favorite place in Narrows, Va. A hidden gem any time of the year.

This is a really nice place to hike. If you go to the falls, ware good hiking shoes because it is steep and rocky. But worth the effort.

It's a really nice hike. It has some difficulty to it which is nice. There are rocks to climb over, hills to climb ect. We enjoyed it.

We love to walk the 1 mile trail for our exercise. Not too strenuous for people over 70. Good place for a picnic too with a small crowd or large family.

A beautiful place to hike and fish. Very uncrowded and peaceful.
