Hula Grill Kaanapali

Every dish here is very delicious! You can order what you want and it will be tasty. Today we enjoyed Grill cheese with tomato soup, Caesar salad, Ahi poke and Fresh fish. Everything was fresh and healthy. Highly recommend this amazing place 😋

We stopped into Hula Grill for lunch today around 11:10 AM. Jessica was our waitress. She was super friendly, knew the menu well & was very attentive. We ordered the humus appetizer, we shared the salad with fruit, my husband got the grilled fish tacos, I got the bbq sandwich & we shared the hula pie. Everything was fresh & delicious!! Highly recommend Hula Grill !

Authentic atmosphere and amazing food and service!!

My family and I came here for lunch while visiting Kaanapali. Hula's location is right off the beach so it was perfect for us. The staff were all very professional and friendly! Lunch was great, but the coolest part was Alice Cooper was sitting at a table next to us!! Didn't expect to see a legendary rock star at lunch, so that was a pretty awesome surprise!

We experienced the grill side of the place, which is my recommendation. The "restaurant" side looked too formal and this is Maui! We could choose from both lunch and dinner menus, so everything was available. Upbeat live music and beautiful hula dancing only made my smile bigger! I didn't order any cocktails (pretty pricey), but all the food items we tried were delicious! (Try the calamari appetizer!) And you're on the beach watching sun set! ❤

Lucas, Keefe,Josh, Amy, Carl,Amber, Shannon, Steve,... Just to mention a few of you that I got the pleasure of meeting and talking with while I was in Maui.. Amber and Shannon you have an AMAZING STAFF !! All Hard workers and always with a smile on their face.The food and drinks were always spot on!!!

Can’t wait to go back! Food was incredible. The atmosphere is so fun. And the wait staff are some of the most amazing we have encountered in all our travels

Brunch was delicious, with a local musician and sand between our toes. POG slushy was a great tropical morning drink. Sunset Spritz with vodka, aperol, hibiscus syrup and grapefruit was more my wife's speed - she asked for a lighter hand with the syrup so it had retained a nice tartness/bitterness. The Foccacia Eggs Benedict was sublime on house made focaccia - add the kalua pork and Maui onions if you're a carnivore. The Ka'anapali Beach Omlet was also good, especially if you're craving 3 meats, but the foccacia was the winner in my book.

Came back another evening when we were hungry but not too hungry and sat at the Barefoot Bar. If you need whiskey, the Revolver is a nice cocktail choice. The crab wontons were crispy and creamy and both the mustard dipping sauce (got) and the chili sauce (sweet) were good. The surfing goat cheese flatbread had the perfect thin crust and amazing flavor from the locally farmed goat cheese. The Ahi poke bowl had so many things going on - from the super fresh tuna, to the kimchi, quick pickled cucumber and carrot, ginger, and green beans with rice, avocado, and taro chips. Would enjoy both again and again.

We were greeted by the warmest smile, and were sat in sand area of the restaurant so we were able to kick off our shoes and relax. We had the Dynamite fish, the pulled pork sandwich, and the fish and chips. Of course we all shared the Hula pie. While the food was awesome the atmosphere with the live band and the employees made this a fantastic experience. Especially our server Shelby (like the car) she was great and also smiling all the time. My 11 year old son said she was the nicest person.

We were so happy to stumble upon Hula grill! Great atmosphere, loved being able to sit with your feet in the sand. Good views and amazing service. I had the poke bowl and it was so fresh. The menu is pretty limited but they did have gluten/dairy free options. Would definitely recommend stopping by!

Stumbled across Hula Grill while shopping....so glad I stopped for lunch. Had one of THE BEST fish and chips I've had. Also had the Hula Pie....yum!!! Not to mention, the VIEW!! Definitely would go back.

For best options make sure you have a reservation. You can sit in the more formal restaurant or in the casual barefoot sandy beach area. If you are on the casual side you can order off either menu. Great food

Filet mignon, burgers and drinks were perfect. Service was great, didn't want to wait 45 mins for table so sat at the bar. Bartenders were all very friendly and though very busy, still managed to be attentive and even chimed in to converse with us on subjects we were discussing. Great time spent here!

Great experience and good. Superb service, great views and live music. We had the seafood chowder and the pork shank, hula pie for dessert. Everything was perfect.

So so good!! Great location and atmosphere, we sat at the barefoot bar and everyone seemed to be having such a great time. Best service we've had in Maui, I unfortunately forgot the name of our waiter but he was amazing. The food was perfect and we were surprised at how inexpensive it was - we got two appetizers, two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks and the bill was less than $100. Will definitely come back next time we visit Maui and recommend this place to all our friends.

This is a fantastic place from the food, to the drinks to the service. First, highly recommend the Mai Thai - all fresh juices and ingredients. The waitress (Shelby) was the best...she gave us great appetizer and dinner recommendations which we took and were not disappointed. Thai inspired dish with the peanut sauce I highly recommend. Beautiful view of the ocean.

Great location, lovely staff, delicious food and accomodating to vegans.

I had the mushroom spinach ravioli with macadamia nut red pepper cream sauce and it was divine.

We also tried the kabocha hummus and thought it was wonderful.

​Attentive wait staff, Christopher was amazing! Drinks were to die for. Food superb! Atmosphere great, it was bustling, they were able to seat us immediately during the dinner rush, surprising for a table of 4.

I have never been to Hawaii, so when I saw the menu I was quite lost. I asked many questions and my waiter made sure to never make me feel like a burden. When my steak came, it was undercooked and my waiter took it back and agreed that it was. That was not his fault. Man!! but when I got the steak back. OH MY. It was fantastic, probably one of the best steaks I have had in my life. I ordered a Meduim-well fillet mignon with mushrooms on the side and a side of the pineapple butter. It was absolutely delightful, I will probably dream about that combination. The glaze served with the perfectly tender steak with the phenomenal butter, it was absolute perfection. I also could not stop there, we ordered the Hula Pie, which was essentially ice cream with chocolate, whipped cream, and macadamia nuts, but it was delicious anyways and the perfect way to end my night. There was pretty cool entertainment as well.

We had the calamari, tacos, goat cheese pizza, fresh greens and fruit salad, upside pineapple cake, and coffee. All were delicious! Live music, great ambiance. They validate parking for 2 free hours. Definitely recommend

I love feeling the sand on your feet while you're having great lunch. Kudos to the waiters who walk on sand and send us our food! Our waiter was great, super friendly and even helped us customize our meal for our allergic friend. Thank you for the great service and food! Oh you simply must have the hula pie!
