Besides the hassle to find parking this beach is probably one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to and it’s so big super nice. The water is super blue super clear and the sand is super soft. Everything about it is really amazing and I definitely recommend this spot

Parked at the parking garage connected to the Sheraton hotel. Was originally planning to validate parking but then decided against it and paid full price for the 2 hours. There are public showers available here close to the parking garage side of the beach. Used the Sheraton pool bathrooms which were unlocked for all to change clothes.

Nothing interesting on the coral side here but a decent amount of fish that you can follow along. A little bit cloudy but still decent enough visibility. Most people jump off the cliffs but I didn't partake. There are lots of sea turtles and while they can be a bit difficult to spot since the turtles hang around the shallow side where there is more sand turbulence to stay hidden. I spotted one and kept quiet all by myself just staring from a safe distance for 30+ minutes until someone else spotted it and a crowd started forming.

OH. MY. GOSH. We had never snorkeled before, but WOW. The current is a little strong but pushes you back to the shore just as hard as it pulls you in. So many fish, so many turtles!

A lava cliff extended to the ocean near the Sheraton that breaks the broadwalk along the coastline. A popular place for plunging down to the water. There is also beach area. High above cliff, there is a walkway led to fishing area. The cliff provides a paranomic view of the coastline. It is a best place to watch sunset.

Great place to snorkel and cliff dive. We saw a ton of fish and 2 turtles while snorkeling. There is also a lot of white sand beach to set up in.

Very popular beach. Lost of people jumping off the Black Rock and snorkeling. The water here was super blue and warm. The only downside is trying to find parking, finding parking was a headache so we just walked a mile from our resort. This beach is a great one to check out while you’re in Maui.

A very popular beach which is easy to see why. You can snorkel, swim, body surf, sun bathe all while enjoying the lovely view of the black rock scenery. Generally gets busy around 10 so get here before that to get parking if you aren’t staying at the hotels.

Really nice beach! I heard people were looking for good beaches and couldn’t find it. We got lucky that we rented place right across the street and it wasn’t a problem. There is some trees over there so you can stay in shade. Also you can do snorkeling 🤿 near the rocks and watch for fishes 🐠and turtles 🐢. There is light waves 🌊, kids can swim. Not the best place for sunrise because sun is going up on another side of a island. Sunset time after time is nice. So most of all this is good beach.

This was honestly one of our favorite beaches on our Maui trip last April! We got scuba gear from snorkel bobs and swam along the black rock for hours, which is where many turtles hung out! The cliff jumping was personally a little treacherous/traumatizing for me but I’m glad I did it— would def not recommend for small children or older adults. Great to sunbathe and sneak into the hotel bar for a drink after the sun goes down 😁

A beautiful, quiet beach with amazing cliff diving/jumping, snorkeling and sunsets!!

Valet park at the beautiful Sheraton Hotel, and head down to their Cliff Dive Grill for cocktails and dinner. You'll get a front row seat for the cliff diving ceremony, as well as the gorgeous sunset!

Scenic beach by the hotels, evening are amazing, its by the rocks waves were pretty intense when we visited. Less crowded compared to Waikiki.
Lot of fine dining and stay places nearby.
If you are into diving this is one of the beaches, you have to walk to the farthest end to the right and there are diving spots there. While we were there it was allowed and people were diving. Sunset is too good!

Sunset is awesome, waves aren’t that smooth. It’s great if you are into cliff jumping. Not that crowded. People snorkel as well.
If you are experimenting swimming Waikiki would be a better option. So many really good places near by. There are people mostly diving always it’s nice to watch and chill !

We went snorkeling all up and down the coast and always came back to Black Rock Beach. Go to the north end by the black rocks, it is a bit more crowded but closer to the good snorkeling spot and a bit more sheltered from the wind.

You don't have to go far out in the water at all to experience a wide variety of colourful fish. Go further out past the cliff jumping rocks to see bigger and more fish.

We saw sea turtles almost every time we were here, even in the shallow waters.

Sandy, family friendly beach right in front of the Sheraton 🌊 A great place for the family or to just chill swimming. You can do some snorkeling and there are often turtles floating around 🐢 (but coral/fish are more on the other side of Black Rock). You can also swim out to the rocks and jump off - a low and high level!

It is huge sand beach, but most of parking lot need to be paid. Hard to find free parking. There is limited parking lots right next to Whailers village. Snorkeling and jump on the cliff... Fun place!!
