Delicious George’s chicken! Which are chicken fingers but unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else! Jan’s sauce is awesome too! Loved the atmosphere as well! Well worth the hour drive one way from my home!

Visiting today, Sunday the 19th utilizing My reservation. Very, very, fortunate to of sat at the Table I had back on Veterans Day seeing as how the View is Breathtaking!
My Server, Evan, was on point every step of the way, given I was on scene for the better part of an Hour & One Half..;he exhibited an air of Professionalism that I picked up on right away.., Great Job Evan!
I had the Walleye Cheeks that were Deep Fried using the Chicken George Batter, an Order of Onion Rings as My Side, and had chosen a well crafted Side Salad w/Blue Cheese Dressing and Crumbles, along with a Breadstick to start things off with...
Washed it all down with a Tall Glass of Iced Tea adorned with some Lemon Wedges, before deciding to indulge in Their Pumpkin Cheesecake which was nothing short of Amazing!!!
Food, Service, & Atmosphere..?, all Spectacular! If Their are any Restaurants that exist up and down the Banks of the Mighty Mississippi that are more deserving of Your Patronage than the Candlelight Inn..?!, I have yet to experience Them!!!

Great night out at a Top Notch Spot!!! CHICKEN GEORGE! Hard to beat all the menu options that candlelight has to offer! If you are in the area and even if you are not... find your way to Candlelight Inn and enjoy a fabulous meal! Highly recommend!!! (The Mac and George was next level)

Very good chicken at this location! Unfortunately, extremely expensive. The dipping sauce is the best thing about it! I would recommend this restaurant if you have the money but be prepared to spend around $15 per person for just the chicken. It's worth the try.

Best place I've found in the area. Amazing food, great service, and a friendly staff ensured I will be making a trip back to this place. I ordered the fried Cod and it was delicious. The staff was aware I wasn't a local and that it was my first time there. Knowing that, one of them insisted I try the Chicken George, then brought me 2 pieces for free!

First time and hopefully not the last! The Chicken George is everything they say it is. The wait staff was very polite and friendly as well. It'd be a disservice to yourself not to go! Oh and the Blueberry Shandy is a must!

We go to this location for the atmosphere. The Chicken George, of course, is great - but the cozy home-town atmosphere is really nice. There's one specific waiter here (can't remember his name) but he goes all out and is super nice every time he's working. Great place!

Haven't been here in years. Was not disappointed. Best chicken strips around. I even figured out how to ale my own since I don't get down there often, and haven't found anything close in Rockford.

Cozy ( yet large) friendly and you can see why their “chicken George” is famous. The George Prime is awesome, but I guess the fried is more popular. You can’t go wrong either way, especially since they give free samples.
There’s plenty more besides chicken, so don’t feel limited.
We were on our way to Morrison-Rockwood state park and this was definitely worth the small detour.

So my son and I decided to go out to Candlelight and grab us some famous Chicken George. From the moment we entered we were greeted with a smile, and a warm welcoming. We then were seated and had the friendliest and sweetest waitress, Desi. She greeted us with a warm smile, and made us feel at home. We ordered and as I was a little confused about what to get and the menu, she was patient and went over it with me and gave me some good suggestions! She went above and beyond and was sure a treat! She always made sure my son's drink was full and our food was hot, delicious and we did not wait long at all on our food. All around amazing service and I love this Candlelight by far better than any others. Desi made sure we were taking care off and is so good at her job. Soft spoken, sweet, and so good. She makes you feel like you are not just another table but you are family. I will be back because that was THE BEST SERVICE ever! Thank you to the amazing staff at Candlelight and thank you so MUCH to DESI the best waitress I have ever come across! She deserves a raise and a HUGE PRAISE!

I highly recommend the Prime George. No breading. Chicken strips are grilled to perfection and seasoned just the right amount. Add a side, a margherita and a friend and you've got the makings of a great lunch or dinner.

You get so much for the money. And it's always so good. Chicken made fresh to order, along with you sides and appetizers. This is a staple when visiting home for sure.

Cheese curds are fantastic. Order the Chicken George! Bucket list quality chicken.

Of course we had the chicken George with the Jan sauce and they didn’t disappoint us. Shonda our waitress was awesome by asking us if everything was ok and checking if we needed refills. Wish I lived closer but when we’re out by Sterling the Candlelight Inn is a must stop. Thank you staff for making our dinner awesome as always.

I always enjoy coming here with my family. The food is great and the service is even better. Recently my youngest was a little grumpy and our server Payton was super helpful in helping us keep him entertained! We definitely will be asking for her anytime we come in!

We had Kylee as a waitress. Talk about the best service ever!!!!! She was so nice and has such a great personality. The food was amazing. We will always ask for her to be our waitress. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Classic Candlelight. Good food, good service. We had the Prime George, very tasty.

Went to sterling Candlelight Inn for chicken george and it was fantastic! Love there Jan's sauce! Our waitress Shonda was the best, very spot on and was very attentive. Will mention her name upon entering next time to try to be seated in her section.

I don't remember who our waiter was but we all like him. We went there for my grandson's birthday party. He showed excellent service with a comic twist. The food was amazing as always. I've never had a bad experience there

Their chicken george is so good. The best chicken around here. The staff is also nice and the atmosphere is cool, very nice decorations. Would come again.
