Local artists sell there fair in the welcome center. The gift shop is well stocked with gifts for every member of the family. Cold drinks and snacks available.

On our way to see Bucks Bald, we stopped at the Coker Creek Welcome Center. The lady there was friendly and helpful. We bought some hiking staffs and maps. They have lots of souvenirs there. A nice place to stop and information about things to see and do in the area.

Me And my pops recently went in there. Just to take a look at what the store was, And I was pretty surprise at all. The neat Locally made items in this shop. I didn't think about it but I should have got more photos than this Turkey call.

What nice ladies who greeted me sat the welcome center. They were so helpful and gave me perfect instructions and brochures on places for overnight stays. They offered local handmade gifts. I purchased a beautiful pottery coffee cup at such a reasonable price. I'm so glad I stopped there.

I visited the Coker Creek Welcome Center today, and am SO glad I did! My kids and I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to hike some trials and have a picnic lunch. The women at the Welcome center gave me a multitude of options of trails, showed photos of points of interest, gave me directions and were also very funny and witty. I wish I could have spent more time in their company as they were great! Plus my kids were able to buy hiking sticks. If you are stopping in the area for hiking, kayaking, picnicking or anything else, this should definitely be your first stop.

Mark was very helpful, if you're going to Cooker creek to pan for gold, stop at the welcome center to learn the do's and don'ts.

The lady working there was about to close up and leave for the day but was nice enough to unlock the building and let us use the restroom. Also has a lot of local crafts and information about the surrounding area.

I stumbled across this neat little welcome center/post office driving thru the mountains. Immediately I was overcome with nostalgia. It's in the heart of Tennessee's gold country and looks like it came straight from the gold rush days. It's full of local folk art and endless information/history about the area and the Coker Creek Gold Rush, and the employees are the nicest and most helpful ever

Beautiful location for a very quaint welcome center, there’s no WiFi 🛜 here so whatever you don’t turn off your GPS 🧭.

Ms Mimi will provide you with all the details you need for the area, from gold panning to places for camping or hiking. Many of the things sold in this welcome center looks like it’s made by both the locals and the Amish communities around these areas so enjoy their hospitality while passing through.

I was cruising from Tellico Plains to Copper Hill and dropped in here to check it out. There were a couple ladies that worked there they were exceptionally nice and extremely helpful. You could tell they were very enthusiastic about their community. Highly recommend dropping in here if you're in the area.

Been here three times. All three times. It was being run by different people. All of them were kind and helpful. More then happy to explain where you can go to find gold. They gave me a map. And showed exactly where the better places were. Neat little gift shop in there also. And a few basic gold panning supplies. It’s not a convenient store. But they have basic snacks and drinks.

This was such a cute place to stop at.
Good information, friendly attendant, and cute souvenirs at good prices.

Stop here to look around and grab a map; you'll need it because there is no service in this parts.

This little gem of a place is absolutely wonderful! If you are in Coker creek please show this place some support it’s hard to come across stores and welcome centers like this anymore! Bonus the little older lady that works there is so kind and helpful! She treated my kids with kindness and gave my youngest an ice pop. Loved the history here.

Great place to stop - they've got some snacks and a ton of local arts and crafts, and they're always super friendly. There's also decent cell signal there, which is very different than pretty much anywhere else in the area lol. Super friendly folks and a place to stretch your legs and see some cool things. Highly recommended.
