We had the most spectacularly magical evening this week at The Magic Castle! Thanks to everyone we encountered, the team, bar staff and magicians…you were all so gracious, professional and talented. The food was second to none and OH the SHOWS! Simply the BEST night 🎩🪄✨🎉🥂

Was so privileged to be able to visit the Magic Castle again after many years. It was just as I remembered it! Magic, special moments, great entertainment and outstanding food! Well worth the price.
The crew who ushered us into the different venues were friendly. The waiter in the restaurant outstanding.
Thank you all for keeping the Magic alive!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Magic Castle and was completely mesmerized by the incredible performances and enchanting atmosphere. The talented magicians especially James Knight, elegant décor, and intimate setting created a truly magical experience that I will never forget. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt like I was transported to a world where anything was possible. The attention to detail and dedication to the art of magic was evident in every performance, leaving me in awe and wonderment throughout the evening. I highly recommend a visit to the Magic Castle for anyone who appreciates the art of magic and enjoys being amazed and entertained in a unique and unforgettable way.

Fun! Fun! Fun! What a great evening of dining and entertainment at the private Magic Castle club; three couples total and it always pays to have a spare dinner jecket in the car! Strict dress code. Delicious food, amazing magic shows and card tricks ... even up close, right in front of us ... not a clue how they do it! What master magicians indeed. We're grateful our friends have a membership ... so much fun and intrigue ... a unique memorable evening.

This is one of the most exclusive and coolest places you can check out. You have to know a member or a friend whom gets you a pass but this place is worth it! Make all your magic dreams come true!
When you walk in the ambiance is perfect with pictures of performers adoring the walls, and a giant bar welcoming you in (after you walk thru the bookcase door).
You have to wear a tie by the way to get in!
The shows were the most amazing we had ever seen worth every single moment spent there.
We also booked at the restaurant and their food is absolutely worth it. The service is attentive and the food is delicious and filing. And the drinks are a delight. The pricing is well worth it and the ambiance makes for a perfect date night or evening out with friends. Check this place out, cause you never forget it

Let me start off by saying that The Magic Castle is a private club and if you don’t know a member the only way (as of fall 2023) to get in is by staying a night at the Magic Castle hotel. That being said, if you are a fan of Magic - spending a night at the Magic Castle must be on your bucket list. It really is a special place filled with amazing magical acts of all types, a nice (if overpriced) restaurant and many great bars. Plan to spend the entire night from open to close and you still won’t get to see every act that you want. If you can avoid going on a weekend that will help with some of the lines inside. With a dinner purchase you get one reserved seat per person to the main showroom show but all the other showrooms are first come first serve. No pictures or video are allowed anywhere inside and formal dress is required. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife took out me and daughter for brunch. Gustavo was our waiter… he was amazing! He went the extra mile and made it a wonderful experience. My wife was happy and that made me happy. Food was amazing. Omelet bar, waffles, eggs, and bacon with all kinds of bakery items. Our brunch experience was amazing- Again-thank you so much Gustavo! We had a wonderful time overall. We were able to see the main show plus two mini shows. Wish we had time to see all three. Also- Get to the shows early or you will end up standing to watch the shows. Either way- so much fun! The main magic show was amazing and the smaller ones were also fun and a good time. I highly recommend visiting if you’re able to!

I recently went to the Magic Castle for my birthday celebration. Getting dressed up for a night full of wonder and magic is truly an experience! Our first show was that of the incredible James Knight. We were up close and personal and got treated to some jaw dropping magic. He used wit and humor to pull us in and then used his skills as a mentalist to blow our minds. One trick after another, we couldn’t believe how he knew exactly what we were thinking. We were all drawn into what he was going to do next. He captivated us all and we are still talking about him. He was the first show we saw that night and set our expectations very high.

If you ever have the opportunity to go, you definitely should. It's super fun to dress up & have an extravagant experience if that's something you don't experience much or at all like me. My dad has had an invitation for 8 people that he's been saving for OVER 20 YEARS. I'm not even joking when I say that lol All the siblings along with our spouses were visiting from out of state & he decided it was the perfect opportunity to use his invite to take us all for a fun experience. If you go in the evening, it can be a long night, which is optional, so you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth. We got there a little after 5pm and decided to stay until about 12am. Dinner was delicious, we hit all the bars just for fun & drinks were amazing. We saw two celebrities that were also enjoying the shows which was cool. All in all, it was a really fun experience!

JAMES KNIGHT LEFT ME SPEECHLESS.
Wow! I had THE most amazing experience at the Magic Castle (I already booked my next visit). We went with a larger group and had so much fun. I loved it!!!
My favorite performance was James Knight - the mind reader! He somehow read my mind, and to this day my group still talks about how amazing it was. You would’ve thought I was a paid actor. James was engaging, involved the audience, and kept everyone intrigued during and AFTER the show.
I’ve always loved magic, and this was such a cool and unique experience. I can’t wait to go back again!

Always a wonderful experience. Have been lucky enough to take all the mother's in our family here the last 2 years for a great day. Family fun at brunch, and my older ones swear the dinners are the best :). Service is wonderful, staff is attentive, and the magician entertainers are top notch. Can't wait to be able to go again.

I’ve now been to the Magic Castle a handful of times and each night was mind blowing and unique in its own “how in the holy hell did that happen” sorta way. If you’re here reading reviews to determine whether it’s worth it or not please allow my review to 100% affirm you in your decision to spend an evening here. If you weigh out the good reviews with the bad let me remind you that there is no way imaginable anyone could truly mean any of the things there saying in their 1 or 2 or even 3 star reviews because they are just humans incapable of a good time and are probably complaining to try and get something for free. Because friends let me tell you there is absolutely no way you don’t have an incredible night you’ll always remember.

I’m getting a 5 of clubs tattoo after my last visit. We were watching a mentalist named James Knight (@jamesknightmindreader) and I was personally pulled up on stage for a trick. My wife was going to choose a card and then from the audience she was going to mentally send me the card with the help of James. He had me put my fingers in my ears and I my mind started racing thinking what card it could be and I wanna get this right but I’m just guessing at what she might pick and then through all this mental noise… clear as day…. I hear my wife (who is rows away across the theatre in her seat) say “5 of clubs” over all my thoughts. My. Brain. Melted. He had me take my fingers out of my ears and asked what her number was and maybe you can already guess but…. IT WAS THE 5 OF CLUBS.

I have no clue how he did that. At all. But it happened. I’ve never been the one something like that has happened to and now I’m permanently dumb-founded.

And if you go to the Magic Castle there will be moments like that all night long. So as you read these reviews please know it’s worth the entrance fee, and the valet, and the dinner, and getting dressed up because what goes on in that place is something you’ll never forget.

What a cool place! I have lived in LA for about 6 years now and i've been trying to get an invite to The Magic Castle for years!

Magic Castle is an exclusive, invite only, venue where you are able to have dinner and drinks, as well as watch shows performed by magicians. Heres how it works. Once you manage to score an invite you are put on a list, and upon check in you pay a fee and are granted entry. The dress code is super formal and strict. Ladies must wear a dress, and Men must wear a jacket and tie. If at any point you take off the jacket, they will ask you to leave.

Once inside there are multiple rooms throughout the house where you can see different types of magic tricks, and a bar to order drinks. So initially you mingle through the house, and then gather for dinner in the main dining area around 8pm. The food is INCREDIBLE, but definitely pricey. (I had the Beef Wellington, and it would have given Gordon Ramsay a run for his money)

After dinner, you go to the main performance which changes regularly with many of the other acts. Now, let me start by saying I had a great time! However if I am to be honest I felt it was a bit cheesy.. Maybe my expectations were too high?

I was expecting world class magic. Like the kind you wait years to see because its so exclusive but I really felt like the acts I saw were pretty mediocre....like homeless person on Hollywood blvd mediocre... I know I know, thats harsh but I was honestly expecting more than card and string tricks. I thought maybe the main show would be better, but it was just a dude crawling in and out of a balloon.....I literally kept falling asleep.

That being said, the food was STELLAR, the drinks amazing, and The overall vibe was an incredibly fun time! Probably not something ill do again, but definitely worth doing if you have a chance!!!!

We absolutely loved our visit to this spectacular place. We especially loved the magicians that we're working the tables int he common areas - James Knight was incredible. He was so relaxed, yet held the rooms attention so well. The crowd that formed around him was impressive! A must see!

I have always wanted to explore the inside of this majestic building… We were so lucky to receive an invite from a member, and the dream came true! I’m not going to give details; the fun is in not knowing everything ahead of time, and this place’s mystique is well deserved. Formal attire is required and it was incredible to see everyone there in gorgeous clothes. Enjoy it; there are few places left like this. The building is all that you imagine it will be! I was in awe and loved every minute. Dinner there was incredible. Everyone in our party ordered something different and it was all fantastic..even cocktails with magic bubbles! You are then entertained all evening with shows from gifted magicians. It was a “little magic in an everyday life” for us! This was an incredible experience for our family and we are grateful for the invitation and the hospitality that everyone at the Castle provided! If you get to go.. make the most of every moment.

Such a neat experience. Love that it’s pretty exclusive, but surprisingly so many people have been there, went for the brunch. The buffet was small, some food was cold, others such as prime rib, and ahi poke were amazing. The best jumbo shrimp, and endless mimosas. The kids didn’t care for it too much, it was dark and whimsical so they were a little scared but the magic shows were great and had us laughing the whole time. Would recommend but expect to pay well over $100 per person

Wonderful unique eclectic building providing good food and impressive variety of magicians! Even better if you are fortunate enough to be a guest of a member. Put it on your bucket list!

There are many reasons I love living in LA—it's a place full of singular experiences that you won't find anywhere else in the world. And one of the true unique evenings you will ever have is at the Magic Castle. This place is mind-blowing—from the stage shows to the casual displays you'll see in the bar or just strolling the halls, this experience does not disappoint. We saw many incredible performers when we visited, but our favorite was James Knight, a psychic performer/mind reader. We enjoyed his show so much that I booked him for a private event, which was also spectacular! Definitely move the Castle up your must-do list in LA.

We had an absolute blast at the Magic Castle. A great variety of Magic Shows and the restaurant itself is worth a visit. The atmosphere was incredible, giving you a feeling of being thrown back in time. For me one of the top destinations in Los Angeles!
