Daves Hot Chicken

The chicken was delicious as always. The best thing about Dave's hot chicken is that you can get it not hot at all by ordering for no spice option. The light spice taste delicious as well. Dave's number one meal is two giant chicken strips with french fries pickle and two pieces of bread. It's about $13 and well worth it. There's a cheap place to eat outside and the ambiance inside is adequate. There is plenty of street parking. The staff is friendly and quick. While waiting for your order, they give you a pager. It took about five minutes for my order. Because of the page I was able to wait outside and enjoy the fresh air. I will be back. Follow me for more reviews.

I absolutely love coming here to eat my late night food since they are one of the few places with great quality food that is open till midnight. Love the variety of options of chicken spices, the tenders, cauliflower options, the shakes. The rewards points system is great too and way more than once when I wanted to add to my order in person or digit to add something, the cashier person has just given it to me “on the house.” LOVE!❤

My daughter and I went in for Not Chicken. I’d somehow placed the order at a store two hours away. I am technologically challenged and was just having an off week. The store we went to helped up go about getting a refund, made us vegetarian food that was fire and, sweetest thing ever— the young woman who helped us and listened to me vent about how I keep making stupid mistakes, wrote me the kindest note and put in our bag. Delicious food. Kind people working there. We will definitely be back.

This is the best fried chicken place in LA! It’s halal too :D Try it once, and you’ll keep craving it over and over.

Outdoor area is great for chilling with friends and enjoying the food. It’s open till 12 AM too for late night dinners ! I honestly wish they had more global branches because this place is amazing.

I recommend getting the medium spice level if you don’t want something overbearing but still want that sting. Their fries are so addictive, crunchy and soft at the same time. And don’t forget to ask for honey and Dave’s sauce. You gotta dip your pickles in Dave’s sauce. Make sure you drizzle honey on every bite of your chicken because it’s HEAVENLY.

Dave's Hot Chicken is one of the first generation Nashville chicken places. They have also caught the expansion bug and have multiple locations throughout LA. This location on Fairfax is really nice. I can't remember what was here before but I'm pretty sure they built the building for the restaurant and didn't just lease out an existing space.

Their chicken is very worthy of a big audience. It is tasty, crispy, and hot. I have to mentally prepare for intense spice but I still enjoy heat with a meal and their hot level did the trick.

They have a simple menu featuring three basic combos, sliders, strips or one of each. All at pretty good prices for a fast casual place in LA.

If you are on a tour of LA's hot chicken, make sure to stop by Dave's.

Worth a try if you’re in the area! Crispy chicken fried on order. Ordered super hot, however it didn’t taste that hot to me though.

Came here for the first time today, service was great the younger lady in the front was nice and helped me with my order. I appreciate her great customer service and kindness!!

I have to say that I didn’t have high expectations for this place and truly only ordered here because I convinced myself it was better than ordering from McDonalds or any other fast food joint. But oh my! How surprised I was by how amazing the chicken slider and fries were! Since I door dashed to my job I can only comment on the food.

The slider was packed with flavor and was definitely generous in its size (in my opinion because I can’t eat as much food as others before getting full). The bread flattened out quick but it didn’t ruin the chicken slider at all for me. The fries were seasoned and fried to perfection. It’s a plus that the 20oz sodas are fairly priced as well. The only reason I gave a 9 is because I feel they could be more generous with the slaw on the slider. It was maybe a 1/4-1/3 the amount that you see on the picture of the slider. They also gave me two whole ketchup packs..

Overall, I’m definitely ordering from here again!

Today I tried Dave‘s Hot chicken the first time and it was amazing. Super crisp on the outside, juicy and tender meat and great seasoning. I loved it and I highly recommend to come here for some good old American fast food.

The food here is superb! The frues are crisp and flavorful. The heat ratings are what I consider conservative - medium was what I would consider mild. Honey packets included in order made a nice additional topping. 10/10 pickles.

I don’t know if the manager or the owner of this place ever read this, but I used to be a regular here. However, the food has changed, there is a bitter aftertaste in the food and that tells me the oil is burnt. I have tried it for the past two months, and every time is worse than the last time! I am sad to say, but you definitely lost a regular customer! 😒

One month after I left this comment, I went back even tho I promised myself not to but I was with friends and they really wanted to go so I said let’s do it! Things had changed!!!

The food was back to what it was, fresh tasty and great!

They even added new food container and stuff, like plates and things! So glad they made some changes! Merci everyone at Dave’s Hot Chicken!

I recently went all-out with the 10-piece tender meal, and man, was it worth it. Yeah, it set me back $50, but honestly, for the taste and the whole experience? Worth every penny. Plus, the folks at Dave's hooked it up with some extra sauces and pieces - total rockstars! Definitely gonna give it a 9.2 out of 10.

Now, let's get real about the chicken itself. The breading was a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes it felt like I was mining for the perfect chicken bite under a pile of crumbs. But when I hit that sweet spot? Oh man, a juicy, perfectly crispy 10/10. And those extra sauces? Talk about taking things to the next level!
