Fantastic massage!

I’ve had close to 100 massages over the past 15 years. My treatment with Marlana at Spa La Mer this morning is probably the best of them all.

I’m currently suffering from a very tight lower back and hip area partially due to a herniated disc in my back.

Service was professional and friendly. Marlana made a great effort to make sure I felt comfortable and took time to understand my particular areas of concern.

She proceeded to test pressure with me before starting the treatment.

Marlana was able to identify further tense muscles in my neck region. She is clearly a very experienced massage therapist.

After the treatment I felt more relieved and relaxed than I have in months!

Maryse gave me a massage and she was absolutely amazing! I wish she worked where I live so I could go see her every week!! My husband had a massage by Kimi and he also enjoyed his massage his was lighter pressure which he prefers. We both said they were the best massages we have ever had!

I get a weekly medical massage at home and tried the hot stone massage here for the first time. I LOVED IT! Olivia was excellent and it’s the most relaxed I’ve ever felt during a massage. I even started to fall asleep because of how relaxed I was. The price was very reasonable as well!

I was actually having second thoughts coming to Maui on a hiking trip this year. Was feeling intense pain in my arm and shoulders. When I got off the plane, I had a very stiff neck and knots. I came to Spa La Mer and Maryse was an absolute god sent. Her massage touch was amazing and she was so thoughtful in her approach to providing me the very best massage I’ve had in my life. She listened to my needs and most importantly my body. She was so sincere and I felt so much better after my 90 minute Lomi Lomi massage that I had to come back for another. Must try and THANK YOU Maryse, I am so grateful and Maui Kaanapali Villas is so lucky to have you. Guests, this one spa you must try!

A cozy hidden gem. Maryse did a really nice work - hard-core techniques & soft communications. I was so relaxed after the massage, both physically and mentally.

The massages were indeed great, yet I discovered that requesting deep pressure was essential for effectively alleviating muscle tension. The atmosphere exuded wonderful vibes, offering a relaxing and comfortable experience. The masseuses were exceptionally kind and respectful. Hence, if you're seeking genuine relief, do ensure to emphasize your preference for deep pressure. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this establishment if you have the opportunity.

I'm caught between giving this Spa a 3 or a 4 and decided to go with 4 stars.
It deserves only a 3 based on that I booked a 1.5 hr Lomi Lomi massage and wanted to experience this technique because hey, I'm in Hawaii, but I didn't get one.
Upon arrival, the therapist (owner), honestly informed me that she wasn't well trained in Lomi Lomi, but could try her best. I was disappointed, because I had no other time to book another treatment elsewhere. I told her I typically prefer Deep Tissue when booking massages so that would be fine. Then she told me the Deep Tissue expert worked the following day. So, I now realize I'm not going to get either. I just wanted a massage at this point. I told her to let her hands do the job and give it her best.
It turns out that she really did a pretty good job in giving me a massage that I was pleased with and left satisfied. I will say, she was extremely nice, soft spoken and very kind.
If you want a good relaxing massage, they'll get the job done here and you'll be happy, but if you want a Lomi Lomi, you should look elsewhere.
