Old Jody's Restaurant

I found this place for lunch today. I'm in town for work. This place was packed around lunch time and those waitresses didn't let that slow em down. I never heard one customer complain and the entire staff was moving with urgency as.well as very polite and interactive with the customers. The food was great. I had the catfish and shrimp fired with taters and gravy and fries. I think the fries could of stayed in the fryer a little longer. But that's my personal opinion. it is a cash and check only place but they do have an ATM at the door. If your in the area go check em out. OH and the rolls are amazing.

I read the reviews. I really can't understand the bad ones. I guess life just happens sometimes. I had chicken fried steak, my wife had chicken gizzards. Food was excellent other than my CFS didn't have enough gravy. Server (Heather) was friendly and attentive. I will be back.

This place was amazing, the service was great, the food was even better. The food was cooked perfect, it was hot when I got it, and it taste amazing. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The place was however packed, I got the last table in the place at the time. Do to being completely full the food took a little bit to get there, but this was expected as full as they where. I will definitely go here again. Thank you!

Very good. My only regret was not finding this until my last night. I wanted a Texas steak and I got one

I can't say enough great things about this place! We had chicken fried steak with gravy and loaded baked potatoes. Chicken fried steak is usually hit or miss at most restaurants. They are usually over cooked, tough or full of grissle. That's not the case here. It was cooked to perfection and so tender. The gravy is homemade and delicious.

The atmosphere is busy and fun. We didn't have to wait to be seated or for our food. The staff is on point and there are enough people to accommodate the crowd. Great place to eat and we'll definitely be back!

Been there several times and the food is always good. In fact, one of my favorite is the Liver and Onions. Unlike most chefs, this one knows how to stop cooking before making it turn to shoe leather. Not many people know how to make that, but this chef reminded me of my mom making it in my childhood. Yummy.

First time at Jody’s, but I liked the way the outside looked, and the parking lot was full. It did not disappoint! It is one of those great types of restaurants of old that reminded me of my dining experiences of my youth, which you rarely find these days. The food was great and the service was top notch. I wolfed down my burger and hand cut fries while the vintage jukebox played away…..

Peach cobbler was awesome. Very clean. Friendly staff, even at closing time.

What a great time we had. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Our server was prompt and just a really nice person. I had the chicken fried steak, and it was delicious. Tender and cruncher with really good gravey. I was too full for dessert, so the next time we go, I am going to have a small meal so I can sample the sweets.

Relaxing lunch great staff comfortable decor reasonable prices for food and drink. No irritants to be found. Loved the music mix. Decor was relaxing and not outlandish. 1st time there, and now I know why it is considered a top-notch place.

Great little down home place. The catfish and shrimp were very fresh. Large portions. Service was great and the atmosphere very laid back. They don't take cards but they have an ATM at the entrance. We will definitely be going back.

Cool atmosphere. Great service and the chicken fried steak is so yummy. Make sure you get the rolls. They're life changing.

Nothing fancy about this place including the food. However their execution is tremendous. Very tasty. Several different burgers plus a few add-ons like bacon, egg, etc. Fries come separate and there's enough for two. Don't get carried away putting butter on the crackers they have on the table. Also tasty. If you're in the mood for a burger, stop here. Oh and they have friendly service.

Had a really good chili cheese burger. Very rustic and chill place. Only beer and cash only

I over all enjoyed this place. The food, the service, the atmosphere.
If you have a big party def be prepared for a wait as sitting is limited

My salad was 2-3 meals but not just an abundance of food-it was tasty! The grilled chicken is well-seasoned and I loved their ranch dressing. My bf said his burger was good but he could only eat half.

Alana was our server and she was friendly and helpful with suggestions on the menu.
Our food came out hot and it was very delicious.
We tried the 3 item sampler and we chose fried mushrooms, okra, and mozzarella sticks for the appetizer.
Main entrée for me was the chicken fried steak, so good!
My husband had a double meat cheeseburger and he said it was very, very good. We will be back!

Love this place. One of a kind restaurant. As of now, we enjoy everything we have ever ordered. We usually get the famous CFS or catfish and shrimp. The catfish batter is so tasty and crunchy, just love it!

You will not leave here hungry! Food was massive! Quick friendly service!🥰
