Journey East Hampton

We had a great time during our stay in the Hamptons! Special thank you to the staff who welcomed us very warmly. The cozy and tasteful decoration of the rooms and the hotel itself made us feel comfortable right away. We will definitely come back to this nice place.

We loved our stay at Journey East Hampton.

The location is perfect if you’re looking to explore The Hamptons. While it’s closest to the downtown area in East Hampton it’s the perfect jumping off point to explore Sag Harbor, Montauk and Anagansett.

The front desk provides a free beach pass and the pool is the perfect spot to relax after a fun filled day at the beach.

Yogurt, muffins and oatmeal are available every morning. They also offer yoga by the pool and start a fire in the backyard every evening.

The bed and shower are luxurious. We booked a last minute stay at Journey and will be coming back. I’d recommend having a car though there are free bikes you can take out.

Cute, roadside hotel. Positioned well though so you feel off the road. Cute backyard area (feels like you a staying at a friend’s home in all the good ways). Nice fire pit with s’mores! Free Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages out throughout the day. Lawn games out. Beach towels and bikes available, quick drive to public beach. Very friendly staff. Great spot central to a lot!

Had to share some love for this hotel… The pictures on here don’t do it justice. I was expecting a spruced up roadside motel, and in reality it is a beautifully appointed super stylish and chill boutique hotel. Erika the manager was very nice and so helpful, and went above and beyond for us on our short stay. The room (king suite) is laid out perfectly, the bed was best bed maybe ever that I’ve slept in, very nice amenities including 2 tv’s, ipad by bed for weather, things to do, music etc. Great grab and go coffee and breakfast. Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. Only regret is we didn’t get a chance to use the pool. Hotel seems like it is new or recently totally re-done, as everything is modern, stylish, immaculately clean, and very thoughtfully done. Can’t wait to come back.

We had an excellent stay and couldn’t be more grateful to the Journey team, Erika and Steve, for making us feel comfortable and taken care of. The room was clean and designed beautifully, the bed was comfortable, and the place is a very short drive from many popular restaurants and areas. It was the perfect cozy winter birthday getaway. My boyfriend and I headed East for a last minute Fall getaway and chose Journey for its location and boutique vibe. When we arrived we were not disappointed. We were greeted and checked in by the Erika who gave us a quick tour of the pool and backyard as well as some suggestions for dinner. The lobby and room were beautifully designed and extremely clean putting any pandemic concerns aside. Took advantage of the free bicycles to explore and then back at the hotel for some wine around the fire. Overall a great stay and would definitely return. Loved the intimate lobby, grounds and friendly staff.

Our group stayed here for a birthday weekend in October of 2022. The hotel was great and paid wonderful attention to small details, from the fire pit, to the bikes, and the complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be returning!

Stayed here for a weekend shindig. This place is amazing and the bed is like a big cloud. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and it's location was very convenient. I slept like a baby with their amazing bed and pillows. Usually hotel rooms have mushy pillows like they're super old but these had the perfect amount of firmness.

My husband and I had such a nice stay at Journey! The whole experience was great. The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was attentive, but let us have space to enjoy ourselves. We used the complimentary bikes to ride to the beach and to town. Perfectly located to explore. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and I would recommend this place for anyone looking to escape reality.

The Journey is our absolute favorite place to stay in The Hamptons. The entire staff provides excellent service, and the design and furnishings are modern and chic. I love that I get the beachy feel but luxury at the same time. Erika is always a pleasure to see every year and she always makes us feel at home.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here on a weekend getaway. We genuinely enjoyed our room and the close proximity to town. The gentleman who was running the operation (I forget his name) was wonderful. He was super responsive, offered for us to check in early and sneak out late! We will certainly be coming back.

My wife and I stayed at this place for one night in March 2020, and was sad to leave! It kind of looks like a "motel" when you come to the parking lot, but that's just how the rooms are arranged. It's really a FANTASTIC hotel. The room/bathroom was spotless, it had brand new amenities and the bed was really comfortable. There's a small but lovely breakfast, although it's a little bit awkward to eat there because there are no "eating tables" available, it's more like a cozy salon. Other than that, our stay was perfect. I'll be happy to stay again!

This place is a gem! The rooms are clean and exactly as pictured. The staff is lovely. And they are going out of their way to adjust to meet the needs of their customers while looking out for everyone’s safety during this crazy time.
The beds are SUPER comfy. Our daughter even said the sofa bed was comfortable. The pool area is relaxing — I think the fact that it’s not a huge hotel makes everything so much more relaxing actually. As a surprise bonus, there’s a fire pit and the staff brought out ingredients for s’mores! What a nice touch. Oh, and there’s coffee and light breakfast (high-end brands of granola and yogurt, also fresh fruit) available in the office. We didn’t know what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable we were there.
It’s close to restaurants and stores in East Hampton and Amaganset, so you can access anything and everything. We would recommend for sure.
One thing I would say, if you’re sensitive to sounds, you might opt for 2nd floor, as we did hear footsteps from our upstairs “neighbors.”

Do to my work schedule I’ve been staying in hotels from Europe, Italy to now the Hamptons. Every hotel has been 5 stars, one in the English county side was 4 Star.
I arrived at The Journey, honestly just grateful to be back in the US..I arrived at 5am and was greeted with a friendly smile and she even offered to walk me to my room. The room was simple, but styled beautifully, the decor was fabulous and the color palette very nice. I’ve slept in a few beds over my travels these last 6/9 weeks and this bed was THE most comfortable bed and I kid you not I took the pillow case off so I could see who manufactured them!!! No luck but my colleague and I both raved about the pillows 😀.
The staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and just plain ole nice!!!
I highly, highly recommend Journey, you will not be disappointed!!!

We came here for our July 4th mini getaway and I’m really glad we did! We had a little suite- living room plus bedroom, and the place was beautiful and fresh. The exterior lounging made it feel like we were relaxing in the tropics. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located close to great restaurants and shops. We will definitely come back here!

My Husband and I were gifted a weekend here for our 10th year Anniversary. What a gift!
We loved the room. We instantly felt warm and cozy.The staff is great.
There is a beautiful heated pool as well.

Stayed for 2 nights in their cottage. I loved everything about the hotel especially the lobby—the decor, furniture and details were beautifully designed. There, you are invited to indulge in delicious snacks and drinks. Everywhere you’ll notice spaces created for reading and lounging from the deck to the firepit. We were greeted at our car warmly by Juan and another staff member who showed us our rooms and carried our bags. The rooms were decorated so well—everything was well thought out from the Molten Brown shampoo to the beach towels to the art on the wall. The pool was beautiful and the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend. Minutes from the center of town and not far from Amagansett. Perfect location!

Beautiful newly renovated hotel in a real nice location of East Hampton. Juan and Christian were especially accommodating to us. There were several little touches that made such a great impression on our stay (complimentary sodas and waters restocked every day, cookies each night delivered to your room). Will definitely visit again!

An East Hampton gem! From the welcome to the departure I felt completely cared for. The hotel room was beautifully designed and stocked with Molton Brown products ❤. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I’ve slept in! Not to mention, the turndown service chocolate chip cookies and morning coffee and pastries were a treat! Thanks to the attentive staff for making my stay so pleasant.

Over the Pandemic I stayed at Journey and had a wonderful time! Erika (the manager there) was unbelievably helpful in assisting me and my family during a very trying time. The hotel was lovely and the accommodations and atmosphere felt safe. I look forward to my next stay there!
