Don's Specialty Meats

Stopped for boudin and stayed for lunch. The grilled shrimp Po Boy was fantastic. My wife had crawfish pistolette and we shared and order of onion rings. Too bad we live 1000 miles away or we'd be there on a regular basis. Quite a treat!

I have to say that Don’s has outdone themselves in exceptional customer service. I placed an order for my Thanksgiving dinner this year and when I went to go pick it up my dessert ( bread pudding) had not been made. The lady sincerely apologized to me about the mistake and it was not a big deal for me. I know these things happen sometime. Well to my surprise, I received a call from them the day before Christmas Eve to tell me they were making me a bread pudding and would have it ready for me to pick up free of charge the next day. I was really amazed that they remembered and that they kept my informed to make up for the Thanksgiving error. When I went to go pick up I was personally handed the huge bread pudding still warm, I received another apology, and was wished a very Merry Christmas!!! You don’t find this kinds of attention nowadays anymore!! The bread pudding was delicious along with everything else we purchased while we were there( bbq ribs lunch plates, boudin roll, chicken cracklings, boudin balls). We have never been disappointed by the taste and quality of the food. 100% recommended

I am so glad I tried this place. Service is outstanding! That alone gets them 5 stars. The Boudin and Cracklin was a first for me. I loved it. The beef and pork smoked sausage was a huge burst of flavor every bite. I will definitely be back here and I hope y'all give this place a chance. Tons of different meats to take home as well.

Quick stop for cajun foods. Cracklings are so good and fresh. 2nd time here. Very helpful staffs. Definitely be back!

I went there to get something to eat and I simply love the beef jerkey and BBQ burger sandwich. There's so much to choose from for lunch and dinner fresh and frozen. Good place for finding what you want to eat.

There Stuffed brisket bbq was so juicy and yummy ,not dry. The flavors where oh so yummy. My new favorite place is Don's. You have to try everything. Starting with there plate lunches not to Mention great customer service.

The staff are all helpful and are kind! Their products, food so far is fantastic! You must like red pepper and tons of flavor! I bring my mom every trip to Central la. Their fresh pork and grn sausage! Excellent! Miss Chris behind the counter is also great!

Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is on point every time I go, they make them per order,so its fresh and worth the wait which is only a few minutes.

Lovely stop! My parents ways stop in when they are passing through to Chicot state park. We stopped in and enjoyed their lunch special that had plenty of food for a very reasonable 8$! Very clean restrooms and so many choices of specialty meats and cooking ingredients. Yummy craklins and boudin! Would recommend a stop in when in town!

Don't miss this place! We're visiting Lafayette and had never tasted boudin or cracklins. Not only does Don's claim to have the best boudin and cracklins, but they're recommended by the visitor center as one of the best places to find these classic treats in Lafayette. We tried both. Wow! They're stupendous. The boudin was so good we ate way more that we thought we would, but we just couldn't stop. As for the cracklins, they have two kinds, pork and chicken. I'd hate to have to choose just one. They're both wonderful. Don't miss Don's specialty meats when you come to Lafayette. Then walk around the store. It's interesting and the mural is of the owner and his family and friends. It's a cool place with the best boudin and cracklins.

Best Boudin in the area, and that's coming from someone that's tried them all. Very clean establishment and nice place to eat. And if you want a speacial treat thier garlic sauce is just amazing.

Totally awesome place for any Cajun food items. I bought alligator fillets, boudin, turtle, sausages, and many more items. I haven't had a bad experience yet. First time to try cracklins. They were fresh and awesome ! You must try the alligator boudin balls that are already cooked. You won't be sorry..... Thanks guys !

Always gotta stop when we head home from our trips to south Louisiana. Interesting and high quality meat selection, local foods, and great hot foods and boudin. Tried the chicken cracklins last time and they were different, but so good!

Best Boudin Balls and cracklins. Other stuff is probably great but I haven't tried it.

First time at the new location. Didn't find it near as Southern, comforting, Cajun experience, warm as the original location. But on a positive note, counter help to order Boudin and Cracklin was exceptional. Those young ladies were worth their weight in gold!

I’m over the road truck driver every time I come to Louisiana I try to make time to stop here at a Don’s location today I got the special smoked chicken breast stuffed with Boudin on top of white cheddar mac & cheese and field beans. With a pepper jack Boudin ball always a must buy.

Extremely clean, friendly staff, a little pricey however their food selection cooked & available for cooking is extremely wide. Definitely worth a stop & shop.

I'm already fat, but Dons boudin, balls, and all the deliciousness I want to try will make me fatter. What I like best is that my mom is very very picky. I introduced her to Find and the cracklins. She loves it a lot. So making my mom happy makes me happy. Plus warm delicious food always makes me happy.

Every time I drive through Louisiana, this is a MUST stop. Superb quality, friendly staff, and you just can't beat the love and flavor they provide with their meats.
