El Amigo Tacos and Mexican Restaurant

Got take out today. Service was quick and friendly staff. Food was fresh and tasted great. Only slight critique and this is mostly us comparing the food to other Mexican food we’d had, we felt like it was missing just a bit more flavor. Like it definitely tasted fresh but the meat in the burrito and tacos could’ve used a little more flavor.

Came here for a quick bite to eat at around 4pm on a Wednesday. They had happy hour margaritas and I ordered the carne asada street tacos. Their salsa station was fresh and fully stocked. Service was attentive and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about this place! I will definitely be back 😊

Looks like a very small place on the outside but has a good amount of seating. Upon walking in it was very clean and some nice Mexican music playing. The staff was very friendly and didn't over check on you. You get chips and salsa when you first sit down. The portions of the food are a very good size. I had chimmichongas and OMG best I ever had. Prices are fair compared to others. Flavors are amazingly surprising popping and everything was fresh. I would highly recommend again and again. Deserts sounded amazing. Took home a churro cupcake (comes in a drink container to go) looks delicious but will try later! Give this place a shot if you like Mexican, large portions and great service!!!

Stopped in for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Authentic, fresh and delicious. They had a great, fully stocked salsa bar with some great options. The guacamole was fantastic. I’ll be back for sure.

Great little place for amazing authentic Mexican! Love the salsa bar, love that you can actually get some good heat! Every time we've been here, it's always great. Highly recommend this place!

Have been here several times.
Food is excellent! Service is wonderful and staff is always cleaning.... the decorations are fun as well. Would like to see softer lighting, not the harsh florescent light. But will still return.

I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 25+ years&love Mexican food. This has to be the best Mexican food I’ve had since I’ve been back the past five years. Huge portions, friendly customer service, great vibe & cool decor. I can’t wait to come back!

Love this little restaurant! Found it on my way to work and I am so glad I stopped for lunch! authentic Mexican food, great service and super affordable! Can’t wait to come back!

We had the Al Pastor and chicken street tacos and they were delicious. Very friendly server. Margaritas are on point. Definitely coming back. This place is a hidden gem.

The food is exceptionally good!

And the service, specifically Roman who was serving the tables, was even better!! But all of them seem kind and courteous.

You should only take into account that it is not cheep. So, at least some $25 per person.

Food is always amazing and super fresh! The owner is so kind and appreciative of the business every time we are in. One of our favorites!

I had a great experience!! I stopped in to get lunch to go. The woman that helped me was very friendly. The salsa & toppings bar is amazing. The chicken tacos were delish along with the medium and mild salsas. I will definitely be going back to try more items!!! They were out of queso but the chips were great with salsa. Lots of menu items to choose from!!

Incredible food, awesome atmosphere, amazing service! The food is so amazing I had the carne asada street tacos and was completely blown away! Margaritas are super fun too!

Place is legit! Not a food chain, family owned. Food is authentic and different. Like the fact the have salsa bar. Grab your onions, jalapeño, salsa, pico, guac, and a lot more things. Definitely will be back 💪

This place is a hidden GEM!! All of their food is absolutely amazing. They have a salsa bar that includes guacamole!!
They also have items you don’t find at other taco places locally. I tried the huaraches (basically a masa pizza stuffed with black beans and topped with allllll the yummy things) and I’m blown away.
This is a restaurant that has filled the shoes of the former occupant in regards to the quality and deliciousness of their food

My favorite Mexican food in the Buffalo area. I love the tacos and tortas, and the salsa bar is great. They should bottle the homemade hot sauce!

Update: They may not bottle their amazing hot sauce, but they sold us a pint of it today! This stuff is the best. I moved from the Bronx and have struggled to find good Mexican food in Buffalo. El Amigo is elite, no doubt about it.

Honestly, the best steak burrito I've ever had. Only thing is, we're charging $20 for one.....single.....burrito. That's absolute robbery. Fantastic burrito, but I won't be coming back.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is all cooked from fresh ingredients. It was as close to authentic as you can get in western New York. Even the refried beans were delicious. The owner said they cook them from scratch, fresh every day. Worth every penny.
