SERC Physical Therapy

Alexis was my therapist. She worked with me on a shoulder replacement. We were able to improve my mobility. I'm so appreciative of her patience and persistence to get the job done. I would certainly recommend Serc.

Emily has been extremely patient and empathetic. The exercises she has given me have eased my pain and helped me get moving again. I really feel better than I have in a very long time. Thank you!

I have just completed 6 weeks of PT with SERC on Douglas in Lee's Summit. Dr. Emily was my PT. She and the whole team were great. She was careful to assess the problem and then apply movements that targeted the weaknesses. She also directed me on home PT. After 6 weeks, my problem is greatly improved and I believe I am on track for 100% recovery. Thanks SERC.

I fell and hurt my hip and after several different injections and shots, I requested physical therapy. The physical therapist (permanent and floaters) at SERC were professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. The facility was very cleaned and organized. SERC is definitely a team based, well run organization.
However after weeks of working with them, I went back to my Orthopedic doctor who discovered that I actually need a complete hip replacement. I hope to be able to return to SERC to help me get through that post surgery time. Thanks very much

After surgery I was told to have PT and I am not a believer. I am glad I did Alexis got me moving and she was great. Cindy is outstanding with scheduling. In all it was a great experience and I would recommend SERC Douglas to everyone!

I had a total hip replacement on June 26. Seven weeks later I have been released to all normal activities and I give most of the credit for my recovery to Alexis and Emily. The journey was rough the first few weeks post op but they were there for me every step of the way and their care and encouragement kept me pushing forward. So thankful I chose this clinic! Thanks again for everything!

This is the BEST group of professionals. Alexis and Emily are fantastic in helping me with all of my back problems and before that my knee surgery. They CARE about their patients and it shows in the way they work with their patients. I would recommend them to anyone that needs PT. There is also a bonus young lady there. Her name is Trinity. She is also known (to me) as Miss Bubbly.

Very friendly clinic. I had two total knee replacements over the last 10 months. I just finished the PT on the second knee. I had difficulty with the first knee for some unexplained reason but the second one went went very smooth and in 8 weeks I am walking 3 miles per day! Thank you Emily, Alexis and SERC!

The physical therapist did an excellent job, helping me get my mobility back. I would recommend serc physical therapy to anyone that is looking to get any type of physical therapy. They do a great job and have a wonderful staff.

Go here! This was my first time doing physical therapy and I am so thankful my doctor recommended PT AND sent me to Emily! She knew just when to challenge me and when to let me rest. And always graciously answered my many questions. She, Alexis and Triniti have created a relaxing, warm and fun place for recovery. This was my second experience with physical therapy after having back surgery. My experience here totally outshined the previous group to which I had been sent. I had the pleasure of working with Emily. I found her to be professional, knowledgeable, and sympathetic to my needs. The other girls in the office were so pleasant and soon became an added bonus. I came here for physical therapy for lumbar disc bulges, one of which was putting pressure on a nerve root causing severe pain. They were so patient and understanding. After working with them for about 3 months I regained 80% of my normal function. Emily, Alexis, and Triniti are truly amazing!

I can’t thank Emily enough for getting me through this process. She knew just what muscles needed to be exercised. She was always encouraging me to work hard at SERC as well as at home. She would tell me “well done” when appropriate. She is a true professional and I have no problem recommending SERC to those in need.

I would also like to extend my thanks to Brett who started me off using an I-Pod linked to a remote location until I was able to drive locally. He was equally competent.

THE BEST!!! Trinity at the front desk, Alexis and Emily all a lot of fun!! Most importantly, I enjoyed my sessions with Emily, she’s patient, listens, cares and let’s do it again girl!!! She helped me gain some strength, taught me what I wasn’t doing correctly, helped me with breathing even though that wasn’t her mission. I miss all those girls already!!!! I left with a new attitude to keep moving, keep breathing.

Alexis, Emily, and Triniti were absolutely wonderful to work with. I saw Alexis 4 days after my shoulder surgery which is unusual. I have a history of adhesive capsulitis. We started an aggressive pt plan to get my shoulder in shape for golfing in Scotland. We started in March and finished right before my trip. After the first day they all greeted me by name and I honestly believe they wanted me to get better. I followed their directions and only missed two sessions.
