Couldn't be happier with my new pair of running shoes! Brenden was extremely knowledgeable. Scanned my feet, did a test run, insoles and socks all within an extremely reasonable amount of time. I will be returning and even signed up for their PRO Deal Program. Nice work, nice business!

I’d been having awful right knee pain while running for the last month or so. I’d been running in stability sneakers because footwear stores kept telling me that I overpronated and had really flat feet, with one store telling me I had irregular feet after struggling to find me a stability shoe. I went to The Running Store two days before a 5k and Alisa was able to find me the perfect pair of neutral running shoes and insoles. She watched me walk and run to determine that my right foot was actually supinating, so the stability shoes were pushing me out and making it worse (hence the knee pain). The shoes she fitted me for made that pain go away, and I even smashed my PR by 5 minutes at the 5k!!

Ive never gone to get shoes for running before and I had no idea what I was doing. The staff was so incredibly helpful (The kind lady Kelly helped me i think). We did all the measurements for my foot, and she helped me find the most PERFECT supportive running shoes and insoles that will help me run better and have less back pain with my scoliosis ! Im definitely going to go back and get more shoes for work. Their products and customer service are AMAZING id recommend anyone to go there. They were so helpful and patient in explaining what I personally needed to get myself and the reasons why it would be best for me. Thank you guys !

My family and I went back to TRS and purchased 4 more pairs of Hoka's. Alisa diagnosed our feet and recommended the best shoe for our needs. She was very professional and demonstrated great customer service. Thank you Alisa.

First time getting my feet scanned and got the perfect running shoes. Going back to running and I needed help finding running shoes . Parker took the time to explain the different options and finally I said yes to the most comfy pair of running shoes that I ever had . Literally , I feel that I am running on clouds . Thanks Parker !!

I went here last week to get some running shoes. Alisa helped me through the whole process and was very friendly and professional. She did a scan on my feet to get all the important information then showed me multiple different shoes across multiple different brands and price points. She answered all my questions regarding what i should look for in a shoe as well as some advice for training (Training to run a half marathon). I could tell she truly cares about running and finding the right shoe and insole for me based on our conversation. She also had me run a short distance so she could see how my feet handled the shoe and helped me gauge which shoe felt the best. I left feeling like there was no stone unturned and i was confident in the shoe i wanted to purchase. I 10/10 recommend coming to this store and when you arrive, ask for Alisa.

We stopped into the store this week and Kellie was amazing! I am not someone who enjoys looking for new shoes, but she made this an enjoyable experience. She took the time to listen to my concerns and needs, then made recommendations of what would be best for me. She was friendly and knowledgeable and really helped me make the best selection. On April 26, 2024, I finally decided to give The Running Store an opportunity to impress me. They did not disappoint. I felt at peace in their clean, comfortable and well stocked store. One of their employees, Mr. Parker, took excellent care of me , right away. He helped me pick out two pairs of Hokas that I eventually bought based on my foot scans! They are the most comfortable shoe to date I have bought. I use one pair for the gym and one for everyday use. I suffer from tremendous foot pain at times. Mr. Parker made some recommendations that I will use from now on. He was right in his assessments and I am thankful! I also joined their club membership which offers a great discount for returning customers. I usually blow off these types of offers but he picked out the best shoes for me! I will be building up my inventory of those great shoes: the Hoka. Lastly, the birthday discount, Parker, offered me was a nice touch.

I needed new shoes to get back into running after having 2 kids, and Parker was incredibly kind and helpful with making sure I got exactly the right shoe and insoles to stop the pain I was having from my previous shoes. He took the time to let me try out several shoes and insoles, had insightful recommendations based on the information from the foot scanner, and checked the fit on each shoe to make sure it was right for me. He listened to my feedback on what felt right or wrong for my feet, and adjusted accordingly. The assessment pinpointed how my foot strikes, what would be useful for me, and where I might be prone to injury. this was my first shopping trip to the Running Store in Gainesville, Virginia. They were recommended by my physical therapist. Alisa helped me out and did a fantastic job of making sure I had a shoe that really worked with my feet as well as with my goals for being outside walking on trails and easier terrain. she gave me her full attention and brought me several samples to try out. so I trust you’ll also have a good experience if you shop there too.

Sam is amazing! He walked ;) me through the whole personal shoe fitting! I learned a lot about my foot, how I walk, and where I put a lot of my body weight, which I had no idea about. I felt like he really listened to me when I explained what I like, what I want and how I want the shoe to fit. He help me personalize my sneaker so that it the shoe could protect my body while I run. New customer, I was surprised by how good the customer service is. Alisa greeted me and measure my foot explained the type of shoe I needed for support and found lots of options for me to try. I’ve been trying to find something on my own forever but without success, so I’m thrilled I was finally able to get a show that meets my needs. Will definitely return.

I am a high school coach and I was looking for an ElliptiGO for my cross country team. The owner, Ian, arranged a test ride for me and talked to me for a long time with great advice for using it for cross training. He was very helpful every step of the way. Sam and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful as well. The selection at the store is great. I had an all-around wonderful experience at The Running Store. I am an older runner who has been running and racing since 1983. I have used the store since 2009 and have purchased possibly 46 plus shoes. The running store staff is competent, efficient, and friendly especially mile record holder Alisa. She knows shoes. Join their bonus program and their prices are competitive with on-line shopping.

Had a great experience with Parker. He was patient and took the time with my son to help him find a good fit for track. Parker was friendly and personable and did not make us feel rushed. The store had everything we needed in stock, including wide shoes-which are hard to find!
