Great store, Clean and organized. Team members were all friendly and spoke as I browsed the store.

Good selection of everything from fishing equipment, sports, even shoes! Store was very clean, which was great because I had to give my newly purchased skates a try. No one minded that I tested them out around every department. Staff was really friendly. Transaction process was quick and easy. Not as big as other stores but also not as busy, which is a plus.

Great selection of sports and outdoor products and they're not afraid to sell certain items like their competitor that is a giant "D". I wish it was closer to my home but totally worth the trip!

Store is large and has a wide variety of items for sale. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Huge parking lot is blacktopped and handicap accessible. Building is easy to see from all directions. Directly off the interstate.

Upon arrival to the sporting goods area, there was a nice young lady that helped me find the specific basketball goal for my son's bday I was looking for. Very professional, clean and knowledgeable on which basketball to buy for my son's age group. Not too mention, what a great price! $80 for a 7' 2" goal which fits my 7 year old perfect... for now 😅 I will be back in the future.

I have never been here before. It started with an online ad they had a gas grill at an incredible price that I could not pass up. The exact grill that I wanted, not the brand but the style. I went to the store the grill was already set up and ready to be loaded into the car. I give this store 100% kudos for that because no other store does it and you cannot take their floor models. If I ever need another grill I will definitely be coming back here. Being single and having no-one to set up grill up was absolutely the best help that I could ever ask for and I am forever grateful for them. They held it up front until my cousin could pick it up. I had a wonderful experience for my first time there. Great job everyone!!!

This store has everything for sports and the outdoors! Easy to find help. The staff is always around to help you and the store is kept clean and neat! Love it! I will be back again!

Had a wonderful experience purchasing a firearm Staff was knowledgeable and respectful upon purchase of a firearm I was placed on a delay of hold and was ensured that everything was Ok and received all of the correct information was informed that in three days time should be notified if I could receive the firearm but with not in the same day 4 hours later I receive a call to pick up firearm....

Amazing customer service and promptness. I drove 2.5 hours to pick up an online order, which they confirmed was in-stock beforehand. The drive ended up paying for itself and some because of the large discounts. 👌

I love Academy! Everything is very organized and they have a huge selection of various sporting needs. Plus, they typically have great sales! For instance, I purchased these boys' basketball shorts for around $4. They also have a pretty good selection of Chiefs gear. Go Chiefs!!!

I just wanted to give academy sports a shout out for going above and beyond. I had an incident with my Methican American neighbors and the Belton PD took my gun from me. Once the prosecutor saw the video, I was absolved of the accusations and was told to come get my gun. Well, turns out I needed a receipt from when and where I bought it... Enter Academy sports. The manager made me up a document sufficient to retrieve my firearm from the police property room. Thank you to that manager for helping me out. Great store. Good people. I highly recommend... Saved me a lot of money by helping me out.

Had an issue with an online order and came to Belton location to get it sorted. Diana was an associate near the front door greeting customers and helping individuals as they came in. She was friendly and helpful. Scott the manager took it upon himself to retrieve the thing I needed while I waited at the front. He was extremely helpful and provided great customer service. The person who checked me out, think her name was Rochelle, was friendly and even offered a discount if I signed up for an incentive card/program.

I had to run in for a birthday gift. The selection for Chiefs clothing was vast, but the items were not over desirable. The parking lot was clean and safe. The staff was polite and professional. The Cashier was super helpful, fun and willing to help.

It was horrible, Me and my son went to buy a HELLcat pro, Because my son picked out the gun To the clerk before I arrived at the counter seconds later. He claimed it was a straw purchase. To me, it seemed like a clear-cut case.

Super Expensive but nice store

Great prices, really well stocked with lots of selections, helpful staff and glad there aren't any here in Nebraska or I would have to move next door. Sales almost every day, great clearance items and plenty of items at reasonable prices, even when not highlighted. Online ordering and picking up in store was a breeze, too.

They helped us get exactly what we wanted at a good price.
