Gallina Pizza

This place is very retro. It looks like a restaurant from the 1950s. The owners are Italian. The food is amazing and the service is good. It's nothing fancy but definitely worth going to. Be aware that the portions are very large so ordering a small still gets you a lot. Ordering a large gets you two days worth of leftovers.

You truly feel like you're part of the family when you come in here to eat. The food was excellent, and you can tell that it took time and love to make all the food that was brought out to us. None of this pre-made garbage that you get at chain restaurants. Definitely will have to come back again.

After the closure of Gallina's pizza at capital city in Springfield, Gallina's in Riverton was the next obvious option to get great authentic Italian cuisine. The food is so similar to that of my beloved Gallina's in Springfield that now I'm not depressed about it anymore.

This is the first review I've ever done because I'm blown away. Best pizza, make sure you ask for basil it'll make it 10x better. Also everyone there is so friendly and you just can't beat it for the price.

it's not a fancy place but these are real Italians. the large calzone is not a single serving deal. this thing is literally a large pizza folded in half with ricotta and butter sauteed onions that melt in your mouth. It wasnt one of those meals that brings a tear to your eye but it was one that makes you say "holy sh..." whether anyone is listening or not. here's a pic of the half calzone I couldn't eat

We were staying in Springfield and were looking for good pizza and Italian food for a family of 5. We found Gallina Pizza on Google reviews and decided to pay a visit. The place is very unassuming and parking is a bit tight. This said we were very impressed by the food. There was one gentleman working who was beyond friendly and had patience as we looked over the menu for several minutes. An 18 inch pizza was cooked in about 10 minutes and was done perfectly. We also shared an eggplant and chicken parmesan, both of which were fantastic! The sauce is very tasty and the cheese used is great. Overall, we all highly recommend it. A true gem for anyone in the Springfield area.

I have been coming to gallinas since I was a little girl with my parents and brothers. This is one of the hardest restaurants to go to now that my parents have both passed because of the memories. The food is absolutely amazing!!! The owners are so sweet 😍 I basically grew up there lol. My parents had us all addicted to the roast beef sandwiches. I hope the owners get to see this. We're the ones that always came from Decatur 💗. Hope you are doing well ☺

My husband and I both ordered the stromboli and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be returning.

Our food was great. Good fresh homemade Italian that my grandmother would be proud of. The red sauce was tangy and meaty. My husband had the clam sauce and it was creamy and garlicky. My daughter had alfredo, and that was creamy and cheesy as well. I will come here again.

While working in Riverton I stopped in for lunch. Fantastic food, great service, and more than reasonable price for the quality. Not your standard pizza joint, the food is far more than just being called Italian. It's worth taking the time to stop in. I will be making a special trip to take the wife back to experience the meal first hand.

WOW! Visiting Springfield for a long weekend at Kay's Cabin and lucked into Gallina Pizza.

Not sure how this Sicilian family came to be in a town of 3,000, but their food is amazing.

The Sicilian pizza was the best I've ever had and the creamy Italian dressing was incredible.

I told my wife I was sad, because I was so full I couldn't eat anymore.

Can't wait for leftovers tomorrow.

10000/10 AMAZING FOOD ALL AROUND get banana peppers on your roast beef sandwich it's divine, amazing raviolis, amazing pizza. Can't wait to try their whole menu. Its a small homebody business, very homey and you can feel the owners love for what they do. Its a little slice of the American dream. You feel nostalgia walking in. An amazing experience and an AWESOME FIND. If you are reading this GO TRY SOME AUTHENTIC ITALIAN AT GALLINAS :)

Food was very authentic and fresh. You will not find a better place to eat a filling lunch from an Italian diner. $20 got us two lunches with a little leftover. The owners were very nice and happy to serve us! Bellissimo! Molto molto grazie!
