Mountain Gate Family Restaurant

I feel like Mountain Gate doesn't get the respect it deserves. The options and choices, as well as the actual food, are outstanding. While we didn't opt for it, the lunch and dinner buffets looked incredible...huge selection of meats, sides AND desserts at a reasonable price. I fact, most patrons WERE opting for the buffet and for good reason! The servers and really all staff were welcoming, attentive and just a pleasure to interact with. I really enjoy eating here...and highly recommend it.

One if the best buffets in the area. Large selection. For supper with carving stations on the weekends. All the food is hot and we'll prepared. A la carte also available. Great for larger groups but reservations recommended. Lovely restaurant for families and get together. Excellent hone cooked fare.

Extraordinarily delicious food, better than Golden Corral. It was like Heaven and had decent prices. The gift shop was extraordinarily large and was packed with different things.

Very lovely place, went here for a school field trip. Treated my allergy to shellfish with respect and kindest, staff were very patient with most of us and friendly! Totally recommend. Had a steak and mashed potatoes, both were delicious!

I went here on Thanksgiving and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything from soup to nuts... Salads, a wide variety of sliced meats, homemade side dishes, incredible cakes and pies and even beverages and ice cream were included. Thetab was $21.95 per person, which was an incredible bargain.

It’s 3 years later and my last visit was amazing! Delicious fried chicken, fresh salads and more! And the wait staff is always super friendly. Can’t go wrong.

Loved it ! All you can eat buffet or menu choices available, super sweet waitress, friendly cashier, good food, great selection, fun little gift shop, clean bathrooms, up front handicap parking.. not sure what I missed but you will enjoy this little gem 👍

Being from Tennessee, this place just felt like and tasted like home. I could see my entire family enjoying this place together if that were possible. Will definitely be back!

My first memory of this restaurant was way back in the early 1980s I used to come up from Washington DC and go skiing in PA and stop in on the way back it was always a a great experience the food was excellent then and it still is. If you enjoy buffets some don't but if you do then you'll enjoy mounds of mashed potatoes with gravy delicious moist roast beef or chicken with good sides of greens cabbage pea salad yada yada it's all good food it's made fresh and where can you go to find something like that, please tell me God bless.

This is a wonderful meal st wonderful price.. kids love this place.. good is all homemade and you can taste it.. prices remain very reasonable in this time of crazy inflation.. worth it

My first job in the restaurant industry before I went to culinary school and became a Chef was in a family restaurant in Carroll County (Bullocks) . Walking in to Mountain gate reminds me a lot of that down home, southern , country feel . Healthy options on the salad bar , a great selection of sweets ( and sugar free) on the dessert bar , and lots of mom and pops meats and potatoes in between !

Choice of buffet or ordering of a menu. Lots of menu choices. Waffles were excellent. Very reasonably priced and the service was excellent

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here but the food is good. They were carving Turkey, pork, and ham. They also had steak. A good variety of sides and a huge selection of desserts.

I was there traveling for school and the people. there were so welcoming even though there were around 500 ,middle schoolers. there allergies were taken into account and they were kind and just great.

Large eatery with gift shop, family friendly and served breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at reasonable prices. Our waitress Lois was super. Deserves a raise!!

Delicious breakfast especially the biscuits and gravy! Current menu pictures included. They also have all you can eat buffet including waffles, omelets and cooked to order eggs until 11am for only $11!!!

Older style restaurant/buffet with a great price. The staff Is friendly and tentative. Homestlye food and cakes and pies ice cream and more. I'll never be able to pass this exit without stopping in.

Great food on the buffet and great service. I love the gift shop! I never get out without buying something 😊 we drove from the Eastern Shore just for the pleasure of going here.

I can’t believe any of these bad reviews because I just went there with friends and we all thought the food was delicious and we will definitely all go back again and the service was very good!!
