Roy Rogers

We live in an area where Roy Roger’s closed all stores in the 1980’s. Finding the Thurmont Roy Rogers store was not only nostalgic, more so a delicious break from 2024’s fast food options. Service, cleanliness, food quality, fixin’s bar—all reflect attention to detail—not commonly discovered in today’s business environment! Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Trigger & Bullet would all be pleased. Happy Trails lead to Roy Rogers in Thurmont, MD.

I love their chicken tenders and onion rings they are excellent. The service is excellent, it is always great experience. 💜💜💜

Since there are no Roy Rogers in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area, I have to travel to Thurmont Maryland to get my fix. Food and service is always 💯. I am never disappointed!!!

I love this Roys!! I usually always get chicken tenders and they're always hot. Cheese burgers are always so good, fries are great, I enjoy all sides! Sometimes the fruit cups aren't in the best shape and they will mess up your side choice but those are easy fixes. Very friendly staff and I enjoy going in to eat as well. I eat here at least once a week!

Love Roy’s! For fast food they can’t be beat! Everything tastes fresh and comes out hot! The fixins bar is genius. Fries are THE BEST ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food is amazing and employees are very kind. I particularly love their milkshakes because they use actual chocolate ice cream. There is a woman in particular who is an absolute gem. She is always watching others and trying to help when she can. Restored my faith in humanity. Give her a raise! :)

I grew up with Roy Rodgers roast beef sandwiches. I was a sad day when they were bought up by Hardee's/Carl's Jr. I hoped the Roy's roast beef would live on in the Hardee's world. Not to be. Well aparantly there was one franchisee that chose to keep the Roy's theme and menu. I've been able to see they have multiple locations. Awesome. The young and senior folks that seem to make up the team always seem to enjoy their work and have bubbly personalities. If I am in the area and I can even remotely justify stopping in, I do. Arby's and Hardee's/Carl's Jr. need to take a lesson about getting the "REAL" meat. To all of the Roy Rodgers employees, thank you. You each do your own part in keeping the system running. To the franchisee, God bless you and your family for keeping the Roy's way and products alive. I always look forward to my next visit.

Easy on/off location from the highway. Fast service, friendly staff, and clean. Delicious food with something for everyone on the menu. Extensive side order options.

I have no complaints. Number one important item to me is cleanliness. This Roy's is always very very clean. The service was excellent and I like the food. The coffee station is clean and neat. Everything is easy to find. All the drink area is clean and not sticky. Yuck! I used the restroom and it was very clean. 👍to the management and employees.

Roast beef is a favorite since I was a child…must be well done

I rarely have a bad experience with any of the food or the people at this Roy Rogers location! I think it says a lot when this location was my first job in the 90s and I still regularly go there even when I live out of state. Great food and great people!

Everyone has their go to chuckenn place, and Roy Roger's is mine. I love the crispy spiced skin and the chicken is always juicy. Hands down my favorite, WAY above KFC, Chick-fil-A or Popeyes

Friendly service and extremely polite. A large variety of food options and sides. Very clean facility. Great rewards program with the app. I love the taste of their food. Try the strawberry shortcake, as it uses a biscuit; it is amazing. Chocolate milkshakes are unbelievably awesome made with real Edy's ice cream. Burgers are very tasty and not greasy. Real USDA choice Roast Beef sandwiches. Chipped beef gravy and sausage gravy at Breakfast. Everything is delicious. The food is real. It is the only fast food place that doesn't mess up my stomach. Roy Rogers is one of my go-to places.
