If you have an emergency, just go. Plenty of parking, open 24 hours. The people here care.

The entire staff was great. Special thanks to Alanna for keeping us so well informed and having so much empathy. Dr. Cistola was excellent too. I cannot recall the names of the desk staff that checked us in and out, but they too were very nice and professional.

All of our questions were answered and we felt confident our animals were very well taken care of.

While it is very expensive you definitely get what you pay for. I have come here twice. The first time they saved my silken windhounds life. She was wasting away as a two year old, growing thinner and thinner, vomiting and with diarrhea on and off a pain in her abdomen. This went on for two years with many vet visits. No one could figure out what was wrong with her but these great vets did endoscopy, checked her colon, took many samples from different parts of her gut and found out she was allergic to almost all proteins. She lived to be 11 relatively normally with careful diet until she passed with heart failure. It was a lot of work but she was amazing and I was blessed to have her thanks to these folks.
They also fixed a complex injury when at 10 pm at night my whippet jumped over a fence, miscalculated and landed on an iron spike on the fence which went into her thigh and narrowly missed puncturing her body cavity. It was a complex job to clean and suture and today she has not even a limp or scar. They were efficient, kind and most importantly expert in both cases. Very grateful.

The Animal specialty center is truly a special place. Everyone there is kind, considerate loving and is compassionate to what you and your animal are going through! I could not have gotten through the last 6 months without them. Dr Rosen is really special and my pup is doing great because of her!!

My bully has been seeing Dr. Ho and staff for a year and a half and I can’t tell you how amazing they are and how well my Joey is being cared for. The care is top notch and I truly believe he is still with us and doing great because of them! I just read a review that actually made me angry! The staff is NOT robotic or cold! They are warm and friendly and if you are waiting for your pet and want to know what’s going on all you have to do is ask! You are not the only one they are trying to take care of! Maybe you are the one that is robotic and cold!!! Shame on you for trying to discredit these people!! Go somewhere else they don’t need your negativity!

My dog came in lethargic, gums and tongue turning white, could barely walk, extremely weak. The front staff was so kind and the doctor was so fast to get my dog in the back to start running test to diagnose him. He was hospitalized and the next day finally diagnosed. He spent another day in the hospital and being treated. When I pick my dog up at discharge he was so much better. I was sent home with medication and discharge instructions to follow up. While my dog was in the hospital when I would call for an update the staff was so friendly and I had asked to FaceTime one night and the nurse was so pleasant. Not once did they ever seem annoyed or bothered. This is my second animal I had to bring here and the care we received was amazing.

We are so fortunate to have found the Animal Specialty Center. Our 5 year old Rottweiler mix lost control of his hind legs on Sunday after seemingly recovering from what was thought to be a tick borne illness. The emergency vet we went to did not have a neurologist, so they recommended a few options. After a little research we decided to rush him to Animal Specialty Care even though it was an hour away. We are so lucky that we did - Dr. McCue was able to see him early Monday morning, quickly diagnosed him with IVDD, and rushed him in for surgery. Dr. McCue and the rest of the staff took phenomenal care of him, and I'm not sure that we would have had the same outcome were it not for them. Truly top notch care. Thank you

Overall experience was a very good one!
The entire staff was friendly and attentive.
The Radiologist/ Oncologist; Dr Cohen, was very good. She was so sweet and nurturing to my furry baby. Dr Cohen explained everything and made me feel at ease.
Her assistant brought Happy out. I don’t remember her name but she was wonderful!
Thank you all at Animal Specialty Center for making Happy’s visit a good one. It meant a lot to me.

After learning about our dog Kaia’s cancer diagnosis and hearing from other vets about limited options to help her, we had a thoughtful vet from our clinic get in touch with ASC to speak to their oncology department and review her labs. ASC called me and said they could make time for me to bring her in, and that Dr. Ho was hopeful that Kaia could receive treatment to prolong her life. I was skeptical, but hopeful. We took Kaia in and Dr. Ho was fantastic. We started Kaia on a chemo treatment plan that we hope will give her several more months with us. They were completely upfront about costs, and potential costs. Further, Kaia loved everyone in the clinic and was totally at ease and relaxed under their care. We are looking forward to our monthly appointments and trust Dr. Ho and ASC completely as we head into these difficult months ahead.

Our senior cat was diagnosed by Oradell Animal Hospital with advanced nasal cancer involving a fast-growing tumor and was in distress. We had to make a choice about whether to eunthanize her or treat with radiation. We consulted with two radiation oncologists recommended by Oradell, and Dr. Rosen and Dr. Seigel at Animal Specialty Center offered the best, most common-sense palliative radiation treatment plan that was not too stressful for our cat and was very effective at helping her feel better. Dr. Rosen also offered another treatment in the interim that significantly improved her appetite and helped her gain weight. Even if just for a few more months of good quality time for our cat, it was worthwhile. I also think Dr. Rosen and ASC have many years of practical experience with radiation oncology, and for that reason, I felt more confident about their recommendations. At the other specialty hospital we visited, the radiation oncologist was a young, new doctor with the latest technology, but not a lot of experience, and the protocol he recommended would have been much harder on our senior cat. Also, after the fact when we went to visit our regular vet, he told us that he thinks Dr. Rosen and ASC's doctors are the best and he always recommends them. Very thankful we found Dr. Rosen and ASC.

This group took great care of my cat. 🐈 they were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. When I called to see how he was doing, the doctor called me back in less than 1/2 hour. Though I hope I don’t have another emergency, I would take him back there again.

This is a very special place. I need to say that again...the Animal Special Center is a very special place. We have a similar story to other people who have a fur baby with cancer and are trying to do all things possible to give that fur baby the best possible quality of life you can. We live in downtown Manhattan but we make the trip to Yonkers weekly to get radiation and treatments for Nessa our dog. Every single person at the ASC, and I literally mean every single person, is amazing and knows our dog by name. I cannot say enough good things about the people, the place and the unbelievable compassionate care they give all of us, not just Nessa. Don't hesitate if you need treatment for you dog...go to the Animal Specialty Center.

Dr Ho took her time and see my dog yesterday. I cannot speak highly enough of her expertise and compassion. Her dedication to understand my dog’s condition and providing comprehensive treatment options was excellent. She took all her time to address all of my concerns and ensure that I was fully informed and supported. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Ho.

We started bringing our cat, Lily, here for regular oncology treatments after she was diagnosed with lymphoma -- we live in NYC but this was the closest hospital with immediate availability, and we're so glad we found them. The staff at ASC was always amazingly welcoming and supportive, and Lily received incredible care while she was there. We loved working with Jack, Suzanne, Dr. Ho, Dr. Angelo, and everyone else who got to know Lily and looked after her on her visits. Unfortunately Lily passed recently as a result of complications from the cancer, but not before ASC gave us as much hope and a fighting chance as they possibly could. Before she went, she had even managed to gain a little weight and got her appetite and playfulness back. She really was happy until the end, and we wanted to thank ASC for making her last few months as comfortable and peaceful as we could have asked for.

Young lady answering my initial call was extremely polite and helpfully in scheduling an appointment. I was seen on a timely basis which was great! The neurology team was also extremely cordial and explained procedures and their thoughts. Never felt rushed. They all spoke well of my boy who is usually not fond of vet visits! No anxiety exhibited. That says something!

Calm, caring & professional staff. I've had to take both my dogs there on separate occasions & always had positive experiences in emergency situations. So happy to have this 24 hour vet service, when needed. She feels so much better! Thank you!

Dr. Ho took her time explaining my cat, Zorro’s treatment options to me. She devised a treatment plan after our discussion. Dr. Ho is up to date with all the latest technologies and treatment methods and is very caring. Kudos to Dr. Ho’s assistant, Briana. She is knowledgeable and caring. The entire staff that I interacted with are kind and courteous. I recommend ASC fully and without reservation!

Taking an animal to the vets can be very frightening. As they say, our pets are our family. From the onset of our visit the receptionist ,the nurse and the doctor showed respect for my concern. I have full confidence that the staff in this center practice the best care possible for the animals they are entrusted with . My thanks to them .

Dr Arias is a gem! He was very communicative and attentive with us even knowing how bad the news was that my childhood pet needs to be put down soon since he is suffering from a bad illness. He also followed up to make sure my family and my boy cookie was good :( good peoples.
