Knudsen's Restaurant-Ice Creamery

The ice cream is super rich and creamy. It was good. I felt like I was full after I ate half but it was good and I kept eating… so maybe don’t go if you don’t need to eat tons of ice cream.

The ambiance was fun with little plushies on some shelves behind our bench against the wall. There was a little car in the corner by the door near the street entrance. The girls serving were nice too.

All 5 of us loved our ice cream and finished it all up. Yum yum!

We reserved a table for a large group, we all ordered a meal and ice cream. The staff were very friendly and made sure everyone got what they ordered.

Love this place. One of the best ice cream sundaes I’ve had till date. I made my own sundae with blueberry cheesecake ice cream and knudens toffee topped with caramel, hot fudge, nuts and cherry and it was out of the world . Also tried their beef chili and it was fresh and very tasty(not from a can). Though it’s a old restaurant it is very nicely maintained and clean. Loved their customer service as well. Definitely recommend this place! Kids would love it. It’s a Must visit !

Experience:
They had a busy night when I visited there.
It took 20-25 mins for my sandwiches so it's understandable.

However, I saw my sandwiches sitting on the cutting board for at least 2-3 mins. The cook just busy in finalizing the previous order and didn't bloody make a cut!

Then my sandwiches sit for another 2-3 minutes til the waiter add the soup. By the time the sandwiches was served, it was lukewarm.

I still gave a 5 because the waiter did notice my wait and he was very nice. Furthermore, it's a local business.

PS: They have only 2 cook and 1-2 staff in ice cream station. If you see a large crowd and you want hot food, don't be the last one to order and good luck.

Delicious creamy old fashioned ice cream! The Affogato is the best, the coffee they use is so good! A perfect match with Vanilla ice cream!

I need to come back to try more things!! I had the ice cream soda with pineapple and coconut ice cream. It was delicious!! They have chocolate candies that they make there. I also had a taste of my friend's ice creams. The toffee ice cream was also very tasty! I'm definitely coming back to try other all things!

Customer service is amazing I haven’t been waited on that in a long time. I’m going to say it this ice creamery is better than Fentons ice cream. You will not regret coming here. Perfect for a date night.

This place is always a treat especially because i get to replace all the calories I lost from the Chabot hills, the servers are as sweet as the ice cream, and the burgers are the bomb. But the chef’s special today with the gooey jalapeño cheese... Perfection!

Truly old school ice cream shop with diner food. It feels like I'm stepping back to the 50s. The star of the show is their great ice cream. I loved the seasonal peach flavor with real peach chunks. In recent years, a neighboring building has become a shopping and eating experience. So, there are dining choices within a few steps. Don't be afraid to start with the ice cream. It might fill you up.

It was the 2nd time coming here and it's what I imagine heaven to be like. The most delicious ice cream and candy. Tho portions are huge, the place is spotless and the service was good.

You can't go wrong here. It's a great place for kids, it's cleaner inside than the Board of Health, the food is awesome, the ice cream is hand made on site and INCREDIBLE, as are the chocolate confections. The staff is attentive and friendly, and there's ample off-street parking in back. It's a local icon, and for good reason!

Great ice cream, love the flavors. My favorite right now is strawberry cheesecake with real pieces of cheesecake inside. The sorbet is pretty good too.

I've been coming to this place for 30 years and the various different owners have kept it pretty close to what I remember. We came for lunch and had rather expensive sandwiches. They were tasty, but $18 seems a bit much for a lunch sandwich, but that wasn't why we were here.

I had a Black & Tan and my son had a Black & White. They were so good I'd pay any price. My wife was jealous of the multi-layered goodness. So give 'em a visit and you won't be disappointed.
