As you like it diner style. I'm really pleased with how you can basically have the American breakfast you probably free up with. Country fried chicken steak and gravy has been my favorite growing and glad to have a place to get some.

They say fluffy pancakes and did we get FLUFFY PANCAKES. I was pretty happy.

I really enjoy the vinyl around the diner walls. It gives the place character.

They have an outdoor patio where you can sit with your dog. Friendly service. Try the French toast. Corned beef is not the canned one but the real one!

This 50's style diner has a great breakfast selection. Our food came out quickly and very delicious. We enjoyed a ham and cheese omelete and eggs Benedict. We will be back to try their lunch real soon

The diner screams personality. Records and photos from the 50's decorate the restaurant. The tables are spacious. The food portions are substantial. There is a patio in front if you want to eat outside. The staff is friendly and service is quick. This little inconspicuous store in Castro Valley is like a time machine to another era.

Sometimes the places that don't look like much on the outside are the best. Come inside and let your taste buds be thrilled. From fresh squeezed orange juice, wholesome eggs and juice bacon the food is amazing! The service is great as well. Highly recommend

Norman's Grill has been here in Castro Valley for decades. Has a retro vibe with classic American records and their album covers decorate the walls.

Food is tasty, hearty American comfort food (breakfast, lunch, dinner). We thoroughly enjoyed eating the crispy, crunchy seasoned fried chicken & waffles and the chicken parmesan sandwich served on a French Roll and french fries.

As of March 17, 2021, in-person indoor dining is available.

Kid-Friendly & Senior Friendly -- both have dedicated menus. Easy to get in and out.

Wait staff is friendly. Service is efficient and quick.

Norman's Grill can take you back in time with lots of record decor. My favorite is the food delicious menu items. My favorite is the chicken avocado sandwich. Staff is polite and helpful if you want to try something new.

Just had the Reuben. I've had a many of these tasty sandwiches throughout the country. Hands down my favorite one! Great job. If I were a local I'd eat one every week. Wow!

Had breakfast for the first time at Normans restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised on how fresh and good the food was. And also most pleased, with the great service received by Cindy today. Good food and excellent customer service – that’s where it’s at. Thank you, Cindy for the wonderful hospitality.

Had always seen this place packed, so the wife & I decided to give it a try. Really enjoyed it. Food was excellent & the waitress was just as good as the food!

Great little piece of 'Murca in the middle of the Bay. Good prices, lots of food.
