Pepe's Mexican Restaurants

I've been here thrice to eat in and once for carry-out, and I have yet to be disappointed. (I've not heard any negative reports from friends, either.)

The service is always good. Maybe not exceptionally incredible, but very good. Everyone from the hostess on in is friendly and attentive. (Yesterday, they let us change tables several minutes after we were seated cos my friend was cold.) Most importantly, our food is *always* exactly as ordered.

Speaking of the food: It is both authentic Mexican and absolutely delicious. In all the times we've gone, neither I nor anyone I've been with was even disappointed, let alone unhappy, with their meal.

Went on Thursday evening with my wife & it was a WHOLE VIBE good food & cocktails fun & music no issues quick service ☆☆☆☆☆ definitely going back

The best Pepe's hands down. Very courteous and attentive staff. The chefs in the kitchen driver spectacular delicious food that does not miss. The Tuesday atmosphere is a great dinner party had.

Had the Menudo; It was really good, plus I love that it is served with extra oregano, cilantro, onion, and lime on the side so that you can add more flavor.

First off, best Pepe's in the area. The staff always treats us like family and the food is delicious. Very authentic. They have homemade Horchata not that bag stuff which is an absolute bonus. I had the stuffed tacos meal. My daughters had shrimp tacos and a kids nacho. My wife had the shrimp and octopus cocktail. All of the food was delicious and the portions were amazing!

Great food! Superb customer service! The gentleman with the great voice took our order without writing any of it down and didn’t miss a thing!!!

The Mayan Combination as well as two other appetizers. Simply pure perfection. Good old fashioned Mexican style comfort food. 🥰🥰🥰

There Salsa is one of the best I have ever had, and there burrito suizo is like tasting heaven...

Food is excellent here, it may be an older building but clean enough and really tasty food and friendly staff.

You MUST go. This is best dining experience you will ever find. Date night, or just time with friends. Nowhere compares. The staff is welcoming and spirited, they begin to know you and your preferences. It’s the small things like that in which make a difference. The spicy jalapeños, pitcher of water, extra sauces- They take good care of me. They have TouchTunes for a Jukebox which is via iPhone and I love playing the music while I enjoy the “experience”. This is not a “meal” but rather an “experience,” very much so. The guacamole and avocado is very fresh, as is the chips. The drink menu is vast and they take pride in the appearance of their drinks and food as well, which I care about aesthetically. Don’t let the exterior of the location ill your perspective or expectations. This beats every Mexican restaurant between Joliet and Champaign. You’ll never go wrong coming here. Try it above all. They also try and decorate for the holidays which adds to their festive nature and environment, also how welcoming they are. (Visit this specific location!)

It’s Thursday night.. I’m drunk, happy and full as I type this. If your looking for a casual turnt night out with friends this is where you need to be. The music was all your favorite songs from the 90’s and 00’s! Brought back soo many memories. Can’t forget our awesome waiter who was super attentive and brought our food out fast! Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. Definitely will be back.

It was fun for a girls night out, drinks were nice and strong, I didn't eat anything, I was there for cocktails not the food 😂

I've been a fan of Pepe's for many years.
Unfortunately a lot of locations are far from me.
Whenever I'm out this way we come here.

Food is delicious, staff is awesome and friendly, prices very reasonable and speedy service.
Always a pleasure to return there to dine in or take out!
Dining experience is always a joy!
