The Magic Merman Snorkel Charters

I was very skeptical of the fact that their reviews are all 5 starts, but booked it anyways. Now having done the tour I fully understand and agree with their deserving rate!
Not only we had to deal with rescheduling the tour, but l got very seasick during the snorkeling trip. And all of them were absolutely helpful, friendly, prepared and very good at what they do.
When rescheduling, I was surprised by their professionalism and commitment to helping find a solution.
During the tour, Derek was absolutely ready to assist (had all tips and tricks to make me feel better and it worked!)
And Emma, was amazing! Her customer service and assistance (in and out of the water), as well as her knowledge of the all the fish and dolphins we got to see

One of the best snorkeling trips I have ever been on!!!! Professional, courteous, and flexible. This was smaller boat that seated about 20 which allowed the captain and two crew (call out to Shasta) to make sure we saw everything and always made sure we were comfortable, safe and fed. On our trip not only did we go to two sites to snorkel, but we saw lots of dolphins and a family of whales

Been on a few whale watching trips and this one was hands down my favorite! Shasta, the first mate, was incredibly knowledgeable about whale behavior, ecology, and biology. Captain Austin was willing to zoom us to where ever the whales were moving. This is a smaller boat, only ~20 passengers, not one of the big catamarans (which are also fun, but a different vibe) and can change directions and move around the whales very quickly. I was so impressed I may need to book a snorkel trip this week!

All I can is WOW! It was the perfect day on the water. We saw multiple sea turtles and dolphins and the snorkel sites were great. Makiya, Shasta and Emma were nothing short of fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour to anyone looking to snorkel on Maui in the Ka’anapali area. ❤

This was a completely unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend this local, small business. The smaller group (we were a group of 11 total and 2 of Austin’s crew) setting and boat made for a much richer and informative experience. We were fortunate to see spinner dolphins on our trip as well as amazing reefs, ocean life and an abundance of sea turtles within arm’s reach. Our last stop even had a reef shark. Shasta was super helpful and informative both in the boat and in the water. It was our last excursion of our two week vacation and definitely one of our most memorable. Highly, highly recommend and a huge thanks to Austin and his crew for giving my family the best experience.

Amazing, amazing experience! Boat was comfortable, Emma and staff were fantastic in the water and onboard, making sure everyone was having a great time. Owners who were on shore getting everyone aboard were fantastic and friendly. Saw turtles, small sharks, fish, coral and TONS of whales. I cannot say enough about this operation. Class act! Book it! This was the best snorkel trip our family has ever been on, and we have done a lot. The owner, crew, and boat were all top notch. Shasta, a crew member and naturalist, swam with us the entire time and pointed out all kinds of sea life; our kids loved it! They took us to the best spots, and we saw a spotted sting ray, so many sea turtles, and a white tip reef shark resting on the sea floor. The boat is low and makes being on the water fun and immersive-this is the way to explore the ocean!

We had the best experience on our Magic Merman snorkeling adventure! Over 2 hours of snorkeling time, tons of beautiful fish, and dozens of sea turtles spotted. Our staff were extremely friendly, informative, and fun. You could snorkel independently, or follow the guide. The food and drinks on board were also delicious! You can tell its a smaller company because of the amount of time and care they put into making your experience great. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour company. We did a great whale watching tour and got to see a lot of whales breaching and swimming. We chose to do their snorkeling tour the next day. This is a really great company with a nice and knowledgeable crew.

From the start with Austin on the beach to Derek and Emma in the boat, this is a top notch outfit ! They take you to the best snorkeling coves on Maui. They provide a delicious banana bread snack and fresh fruit on your way out with drinks. Plus a delicious, healthy lunch by local vendors. We had excellent gear they fitted us for before we reached our destination. They are locally owned and operated. I can see why they have only 5 stars reviews. They earn it! !I will be a return customer!!

Snorkeling with the Magic Merman Crew on Monday the 29th of July was an amazing experience. The crew was extremely knowledgeable and patient with the kids and their 3,000 questions. The locations they took us to were far above and beyond the molokini crater snorkel tours. The food was fantastic, best banana bread on the island, by far! Will utilize the Magic Merman crew for every snorkeling or whale watching adventure in the future!

My husband and I have done a fair amount of excursions and this one by far exceeded them all. The crew treated us like family. It was a smaller boat that holds 26 but they only take 20 so there’s plenty of room. The food was simple and delicious. Even homemade banana chocolate chip bread. We were fortunate to see spinner and bottle nose dolphins. The snorkeling was great (plenty of time in the water) and we swam with so many turtles. The unexpected whales (due to end of season) (momma, baby and a male) were a thrill for all aboard, even the crew. Highly recommend this outfit for your next excursions.

So much fun on the morning snorkel tour! Not only did we go to two amazing snorkel spots (turtles everywhere, tons of fish, and Shasta will jump in and do an in-water tour and show you any and everything), but they stopped for any whale sightings while we were out and about! Plus you get some breakfast snacks, drinks, and a full lunch! The boat is also so smooth on the water and comfortable! This is a small business and you can totally tell they put everything into making it an awesome experience! Highly recommend if you want a more personalized, local experience!! We will absolutely be back! Thanks again guys!!

Fabulous day on the ocean with an amazing crew! The reviews are 100% accurate! I’ve taken tours on the big boats with big groups but wanted something with a little more personal touch. This was it. The crew is so engaged and helpful. Always checking in and making sure we’re doing okay. The service is top notch! Emma was constantly in motion from getting us our gear to laying achor and checking the water before we got in the boat. It is a smaller vessel and I was worried about body slams but it was so smooth! If you are looking for something more personal and have the fitness to climb the ladder to exit and enter the boat, choose this one! I brought my teen son and would recommend for any parent out there trying to get their teens off electronics and into the moment. We saw turtles and scores of fish. A true class act. Thank you!

My husband are staying in Lahaina and decided to sign up for snorkeling for our honeymoon. This has been on my list of amazing activities during our island trip and the staff definitely hit the nail on this. I appreciate the punctuality of the entire staff and how polite everyone is. We arrived at 8:30 to start our trip on the dot at 9 on the boat. We traveled about 20 minutes south of our starting point. There, we were able to snorkel at one location for an hour. Before getting in the water, the staff provided snacks and drinks to keep us well hydrated throughout the day. We were a group of six which was nice so we got a lot of space on the boat. They also provided floatation devices to keep us safe, especially for my husband who is not the best swimmer so he wore a flotation belt. I call it a floating banana for him 🤣 I was able to see a great deal of beautiful fish I would only see behind a glass. I even found a moray eel while under the water. On the second location close to Baby Beach was where it was honestly the best spot I could ever ask for. We saw 4 turtles hanging out and getting their shells cleaned by sturgeon fish! I wish I had a waterproof camera so it will forever stay in my mind. There were also two white tipped reef sharks which was so exciting! My hubby was shocked and didn’t expect such a thing. He did enjoy the turtles as they swam up to us. Our group was really mindful of keeping a good distance so I truly appreciated that as Captain and Emma reminded us to be respectful towards the marine life. I can’t wait to go again! It was such an unforgettable experience!

We had 7 of us ranging in age from 18-72. What a blast!! The crew was Derek, Shasta, and Gill were such a ball. One person in our group had never snorkeled and Shasta worked so well with her, they had her comfortable and snorkeling on her own in no time. If you love to circle, this is the cruise for you. The big cruises only give you 30 minutes in each spot and we were definitely at least an hour at each spot, sometimes a little bit shorter but way plenty of time to really see everything. And we saw a ton. I would highly recommend this as the food was amazing and simple and the crew was top-notch!!

We were super leary when this tour had nothing but 5 star reviews. However, this was probably the best tour I've ever taken! The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and all around perfect! I can't recommend this company enough if you're looking to book a snorkeling adventure! Turtles, dolphins, eels, more fish than I can count, and even an octopus.

Our extended family had a FANTASTIC morning snorkel trip with Makiya, Shasta, Emma, and Austin! We were very fortunate that friends recommended the Magic Merman. The entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We saw sea turtles and learned about the fish swimming all around us from Shasta. Emma watched over the safety of our large group and Makiya expertly navigated us to two beautiful locations. They provided a fun adventure with a personal touch. It really was magical!

I've been out on at least five different snorkel companies snorkel and whale watch adventures, And the Magic merman Rank at the top. What an incredible day we had today. The staff knowledge of the whales And the fish were just amazing. Top-notch! We're going to have to go out again before we leave. Highly highly recommend.

We did a morning snorkel tour with Makiya, Shasta, and Emma. It was really amazing, we saw a ton of turtles, fish and even sharks & whales. Everyone was super nice and very knowledgeable. We really love that there were only 20 people on the boat. Lots of snacks, a good lunch, and plenty of drinks. Highly recommended!
