The Original Steve's Diner

1st ever triple five from me! The place was clean. The service was above and beyond. The food was insane for breakfast. Go for the cheesecake love cakes. Never had anything quite like it. Don’t let the strip mall look fool you. The inside is comfortable and clean. The portions are nuts.

*Order their sausage links, they are homemade and nothing like I expected. These alone are worth the visit*

*The love cake (pancake) and eggs Benedict menu is already on the table, we missed that entirely and were wondering where it was in the other menus we received upon sitting

Note: the first booth behind the hostess station was cold because they are recovering from a flooding situation. May want to avoid that for a couple weeks. Even though we were cold, the food was worth it. And I feel sorry that they had to go through that!

I can’t wait to visit again. Jamaican me crazy finger lakes coffee, awesome pancake or “love cake” as they call them, great service, and warm atmosphere.

My dining partner got a Polish breakfast wrap and wished there was more sauerkraut. It is dispersed within the egg and wasn’t too obvious it was there. It’s possible they would have provided a side of sauerkraut if she had asked. The waitress was super nice.

This was a very nice restaurant, I got a sprite and the Elvis pancake. I liked the sprite, and the Elvis pancake was delicious. It was ginormous and the bacon was soft and chewy and there was big portions. The server was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant.

A busy little quaint restaurant that provides some of the best food for breakfast I have ever had on the East Coast so far. They offer love cakes, gluten-free options, and friendly atmosphere to invite you in even though they're only open for a limited time in the morning. Went back twice in the one week I was visiting the area. We'll go back again next time I'm out there.

This is my new absolute favorite spot for breakfast. I have now been here twice, and both time's it has exceeded my expectations. 1st, this restaurant is very welcoming. Wide open space, very clean and bright. There are quite a few tables and booths but not crammed in there like some other places. Both times, our server has been absolutely wonderful. She has welcomed us with a warm, friendly smile and has been very attentive to our needs.
2. So far, everything we have tried here has been super delicious. Omlets have been very generous sized and super filling. Their home fries are seasoned well and super tasty, and then there are the HUGE pancakes that come in more flavors than you could imagine. These things are so big, they hang off the sides of the plate. Absolutely light, fluffy, and delicious!
My only issue now, is that I need to find time to come back and try lunch 😁

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Be prepared to wait a little bit on weekend mornings as this place gets packed. Even then, they do a great job on turning the tables so you're not waiting forever.

This is a great place for a summer brunch, and there is almost always a wait to get seated. They have humongous pancakes, and many other traditional breakfast options. Everyone is friendly, and doesn't try to rush you to finish. The food is amazing, and prices are very reasonable.

They're huge. And tasty.

Pancakes can be hit or miss at many diners. The bigger they are, the more dried out they can get. Not here!

Everything else I've ever had here has been great too. Perfect omelets (particularly the corned beef hash) and solid coffee.

It's a chill diner with friendly people from the greeter to the servers.

My friend and I were on our way to Wegmans and realized that going to the grocery store hungry would be dangerous for our wallets! I Googled restaurants near us and saw Steve's, and I'm a sucker for a diner!

The atmosphere is amazing, the service is top notch across the board, and the food is INCREDIBLE! I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted because everything sounded so tasty. I will be returning (a lot) to try more! I ended up choosing The Dumpster and it was incredible! My friend had the steak and eggs breakfast sandwich. We were both so full and happy, and the bill doesn't break the bank! I can't recommend this place enough!

Can't wait to go back for baklava pancakes! Also, they offer vegan waffles! My vegan friend usually can't go to breakfast with us because there's never vegan options. Can't wait to bring him here!

We came for a later breakfast. We had to wait until a table cleared. The service was excellent. Food came quickly. I had Steve's Special. My wife had a fruit Love cake and my son had bacon with gluten free tatertots. We all agree the food was excellent. The place was crowded with people but very clean.

Blueberry French toast was really good. Everyone was friendly

Best diner and biggest pancakes in Rochester with a ton of flavor and variety. I've had almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Their village style meal, the greek fries, French dip, beef on weck are delicious too

Holy heck this place is impressive! They have a massive amount of breakfast options! Their pancakes are huge! My wife ordered a French toast made with slices of banana bread, covered in walnuts and banana slices. I ordered the El Paso. An omelette, with cheddar cheese, and jalapeno, chorizo. Topped with Chili. The potatoes were crispy. Hands down the best breakfast in chili, NY! We just went this morning and are already planning to go back tomorrow!

Update: We keep coming back and having great experiences. Don't let the weekend line discourage you, these folks do a wonderful job getting you in. It's not uncommon for the line to go down the side of the building but somehow the longest wait I have had is 20 minutes

I could tell the moment I got to this location it was the place to be, watching the steady stream of customers making thier way to the front door!

This is the place you want to have breakfeast at, fod is great prices are GREAT for 8.75 i got eggs sausage and a panckae i could use as a bandana!!

The Original Steve's Diner is very nice to enjoy a fantastic meal, and the price is reasonably low. I can honestly say you're going to enjoy the wide selection and fantastic service. 100% guaranteed.

Steve’s is a great breakfast diner classic!

When you wake up feeling lazy and do not feel like cooking the family Saturday breakfast—this is the local stop to go to! Keep in mind, Steve’s is well known and loved but the locals and you will likely need to allow for at least a 20min wait time—during the height of breakfast and lunch. Their pancakes are ginormous and take like yellow cake! Take one home, carry-out—in their cute little pancake pizza boxes. One pancake can feed a family of four!

They have great omelets, frittatas, skillets, burgers, BLT’s (extra bacon,) great sweet potato fries, and fresh salads! (To say the least) Your breakfast will be made with excellence or they will fix it! Steve’s also services real maple syrup upon request and they offer a nice little selection of coffee creamers for those who enjoy flavored coffee!

My family loves this joint and we often stop in with friends and family for a great breakfast or lunch meal out. The kids especially love their cinnamon sugar dip and Nutella french toast!

The management and waitress are kind patient and attentive. This Chili, NY location is clean, maintained and accommodating.

Got the steak frittata and my wife got the oatmeal. Look at the cute little honey they give.

Great food, great service! My wife got the Vixen pancakes and loved them and I got the country fried chicken breakfast platter, it was so big I couldn't eat it all.

One of my favorite local diners. Would recommend their new Waffle breakfast sandwich to any one.

This place is one of the best diners around. I brought my mom here for potato pancakes. They were running out of the batter and only charged us for 1 instead of 2 which I thought was nice. The waitstaff are friendly and the food is always always good. I usually go to the henrietta location, but this one is the same, good food. It is very busy at any given time and they are only open til 2 but I highly recommend grabbing breakfast there.
