Circle K

I stop at Circle K almost every morning before work. 95% of the saff have been there for several years. They are dedicated and professional, and fun. All employees wear masks during our Pandemic and insist that customers do the same.

Clean store. Well stocked. Staff is friendly. Clean restroom. Great selection of beverages canned, bottles, or fountain dispensers.

The car wash sucks. I wasn't sure, but today I am. Maybe they don't clean the brushes. I did notice there was a lot of black on them. My car was pretty bad as we just drove up a dirt road, but still.

The only good thing is open 24hrs. I, went in July 10, 2020, the employees were counting cigarettes and totally ignored me. I made sure they knew I was waiting and yet more concerned about inventory. The prices were very high, of course that what happens with any 24hr store. Later went to get water and air, however to get the needed quarters, your required to make another purchase. I also was parked at the pumps for gas, as I watched the attendant, help every other person, I was the only person at the time. I, finally asked the attendant why, he was not giving me gas, he replied, " I thought you only needed quarters". The attendant obviously, has no common sense. The place to pay for water and air was on the side of the station. I, talked to the manager, then realized, he was just as bad as the rest of employees. I, finally saw a notice, they are short of quarters, is that my problem, of course not!! Why have a machine, if you don't have the coins needed, again common sense. This shell station is obviously not the only station in Brookings. I, suggest tourists stay away from this station, till they can learn how to treat customers. Maybe a loss of business, will get their attention!!
