Mount Airy Ace Hardware

I placed my first online order with Ace a few days ago- because both Walmart and Amazon's sites failed to make it easy for me to review the item's description. What a pleasant surprise! The website was simple and easy for me to get the details I needed, and then I ordered. I received my order in two days as stated and my pickup was peaceful and fun while in the Ace store. Everyone was helpful and kind! One young and handsome man walked me to my car with my large order. Manners are not dead. Kindness counts. I will be back to shop at the store and will be going first to the Ace's website for my online shopping. I am really surprised that a store like this exists. Thank you all.

Not the cheapest place around, but it's where I go every time I have a project that I need advice on. Friendly staff who actually knows their products and and happy to help. Gary in particular has been great to work with on a couple different projects.

Al the years I shopped at HD and I just found this ACE. A perfect shopping experience after I struck out at HD. This is now my home store.

The employees are amazing. It is easy to find someone to help if you have questions. The store is well-stocked. Randy the paint dude is a huge help. The cashiers are very friendly.

Ace is local and has everything I need for a toilet repair and faucet replacement, as well as a human to talk to?

Well stocked hardware store, filled with one of a kind items. It's good to know there's a place to go for just one screw if that's what you need to finish a project. Helpful staff.

Had to have some keys made. Older gentleman behind the counter was too involved with his You tube videos 🤣. Had to ask if we needed to go elsewhere for assistance. That woke him up. Next day needed packing tape and the tall dark haired younger man was extremely helpful.

Needed flexible gas supply line to connect a water heater. Small store compare to Home Depot or Lowe's, but has everything in stock. Very convenient because nearest Home Depot is 25 minutes away. Thanks for saving me a little bit of time! Way to go!

Great selection of tools, parts, and just about anything you need. I prefer to go to the little chain stores compared to Home Depot. Much easier to get in find whatever it is your looking for and get out. Prices are pretty comparable. Everyone at this store is very nice and helpful! The store is always clean and organized and I have never had a bad experience at this location

There is always staff walking around helping answer any questions. The paint area where they mix and match paint is very well managed. If you have to go to the back of the store (you ring the bell for service) where they make keys and store large and heavy items like concrete the wait time can sometimes be long 10+ minutes. Overall an excellent alternative when you don't have the time to drive all the way to Home Depot or Loews.

Organized, clean and friendly staff. Inventory is not as much as other locafions. Recommend to call first because even do the App or website indicates that the item you are looking for is available, they may not have it at the store.

THIS is a very friendly place to visit, excellent customer service. Im a minority, so I'm a bit sensitive to how businesses treat me from the moment I walk in and THIS ACE location treats me very well from entry to exit. I even accidentally left a flashlight I purchased there, realized it, went back a week later and they had kept it behind the counter for me. Very nice, friendly and welcoming staff! TOTALLY different experience from the Clark ACE on 40.

This place has it all! Outstanding customer service. Employees around the store always willing to help & they seem to have everything we need. Thankfully, store is 5 minutes from the house!
