Penny Mustard Furnishings

We've purchased a large sectional and couch from Penny Mustard over the last year. The sectional has been just right. It's been durable, looks great, and is super comfortable. The couch, while super cozy, did have some issues with the fabric on its cushions. After reaching out to Penny Mustard, they truly went above what I could have ever expected to fix the issue and make sure we felt taken care of. Buying furniture isn't cheap and I'm glad we invested in a company that was willing to spend time ensuring we felt heard and that our issue was resolved. We'll continue to be their customers moving forward.

We had a wonderful experience working with Leah Campbell at the Penny Mustard Madison Showroom. Leah listened to what we were looking for and had suggestions laid out for us when we arrived. She was spot on! Our furniture arrived exactly as ordered, on time and in great condition. It fits perfectly in our new home, and we are thrilled that we chose Penny Mustard and worked with Leah as our designer!

My husband & I recently had a fantastic experience shopping for living room furniture at Penny Mustard. The quality of their furniture is outstanding, and we were impressed by the wide selection they offered. The staff there were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable; She helped us find exactly what we were looking for and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high-quality furniture and a fun shopping experience!

Very unique store all of the furniture in the store is white or very light in color. This is intentional because they want everyone to look at the furniture not the color. They have lots of customizable options including fabric color.

Summary: Quality furniture, low pressure sales tactics, catchy jingle. Lots of secret compartments to keep you entertained in the store.

The good: "None of the furniture crosses an ocean to get to you", most is made in the Midwest. Quality seems important to the company, and its got great style. Each wooden piece I saw in store also had excellent choice in wood grain, including in places that would normally be ignored (like inside the drawers or on dark-stained items).

The great: They have mattresses (we didn't know before we went in), that are excellent and well priced. We'd been on and off looking at mattresses for a year now, and I decided to make one myself because of price to quality issues, until we found the Penny Mustard ones. The salespeople let us look at our own pace, and were super helpful in finding the right fit.

The so-so: Pricing. They dont run sales, the closest you might get is a clearance item. If you really love an item, it's what it costs to make and get it to you and there's no leeway. It's so-so because you miss out on that really good feeling of buying something at 30-50% off, but it means there's no pressure. You don't have to wait for the next big holiday for it and you can come back another day or month and get the same price.

I waited for delivery before rating, but that went smoothly. We had a tougher delivery spot than most, but they figured it out and were quick and friendly. They also made sure we had regular updates to their arrival and were happy with placement.

We had a great time working with Leah. She was able to help us match our upholstery to the color themes of the rest of the house and furniture. We were really happy with the selections she helped us make. It was clear she had the expertise and really wanted to help us. We can't wait to have our new furniture.

Store offers appointments which is very helpful!! Very different but welcomed in Madison area! You can tell they offer quality service and prices!

I was in here for the first time the other week, with my mom, and I can't say enough about this store - I wish so badly we had one in Boston! The selection is amazing; I love the looks of everything and it all seems to be the perfect size, with thoughtful dimensions for actual use as well as appearance. The salespeople are ultra professional and friendly, and one of them helped us pick the perfect carpet for my living room (I'll have to have it shipped to Boston). He also gave the BEST advice I'd gotten on curtains for that room, given the color scheme - so thankful for that! If there was one of these in Boston I'd simply use them for everything and not bother looking elsewhere. For us this was a one-stop shop!

My wife and I decided to check out the new furniture store in town, Penny Mustard. We’re in the process of redecorating and refurnishing our home and wanted to see what they offered that the competitors didn’t. The sales consultant who took care of us, Katy was wonderful. Her knowledge and expertise really helped us make the choice that was right for us. We told her what we were interested in and she spent the time needed to show us the many options that were available, woods, fabrics etc. Penny Mustard is not your average cookie cutter mass production furniture store. Each piece is hand made to the customers specifications from a wide variety of choices by skilled craftsmen. This is not a store you can walk into by furniture and have it delivered the next day. As I said each piece is custom-made so allow 12 to 14 weeks for delivery. If you want to go on the cheap this is not your place but if you want long lasting quality then it’s worth the wait. Like the old adage says, you get what you pay for.

Wow! I loved this place. Furniture was of good quality. Salesman was top-notch. Bobby spent alot of time with me and I never felt rushed. He gave me good ideas and was very personable. Other salesmen working well very helpful also and just a nice group of young men. I will definitely shop at this store again and recommend it to others. They made me feel like a valued customer.

Went to check out the new location and ended up purchasing a Smith Brothers chair for my husband! This allowed him to pick out the style, leather fabric, very customizable just to his liking. Justice was very knowledgeable and helpful in showing us our options in our purchase. The showroom isn't as large as it could be but it seems like most things are customizable which gives you endless options. Very happy with our purchase and will definitely be back! As has been our experience for years, Penny Mustard Furnishings has once again delivered on it’s promise of great products and great service. We came in to look, got an instant home visit and finished the planning and purchase all in one afternoon. We are thrilled that Penny Mustard had come to Madison, so we don’t have to travel to Milwaukee for the kind of service and furniture choices that we love❣

We had a great experience with leah . To be honest I don’t know if we would have bought anything because it is pricey. But the quality is outstanding and options endless and thanks to leah we ordered a couch and dining room table knowing we are getting what we want. Just overall a great experience can’t wait to see it in our new home.

Helpful sales staff. Went straight to the best options for us, including the different configurations for the furniture. Took care to be sure the fabrics and options we chose were accurate. Pricing very favorable to the competition.

So far, I'm very impressed with Penny Mustard. Sales rep Angie came out to our home to see the space we are refurnishing. Yes all customized pieces. My order has been made. I can't wait to see it in my living room.

Very nice store and the staff was welcoming. We appreciate the Wisconsin ties. The prices were a little outside our budget but seemed fair for the quality.
