Recently, I wanted to redo and refresh my bedroom paint. While looking at different places, I was referred by a friend to come check out Farrow & Ball. Not only is the team here extremely nice, they were really knowledgeable too. Leslie held my hand and walked me through the complete process, beginning-to-end. Her guidance helped me get the perfect look and finish for my room. You bet that this will be my recommendation to my friends! Thank you, Leslie!

At Reds painting inc we know you really do get what you pay for having worked with many types of stains and paints in the last 30 years. If you know what you are doing and apply the paints in the correct sequence. You do achieve some miraculous stunning paint work. The Color pallet is fantastic when used on ceilings and walls. The full gloss enamel flows out and provides a sophisticated look to cabinets and doors. This is one of Los Angeles top paint stores but beware parking is tricky on Melrose Avenue.

What can I say? I’ve been wanting to try out Farrow & Ball’s lovingly saturated colors for over a year now. And finally, that day came.

The lovely shorter gal running the floor was amazing (I’d like to say her name was Bryant? I’m terrible w/ names. So sorry!).

Despite the research I had done regarding moody, cozy color schemes for my bedroom, I became a puddling mess of a “DIY-Designer” in trying to find that elusive monochromatic pattern that spoke to me. The real “me”. The cool “me”.

Well… it never said a word to me. Not a damn peep!

Bryant, however, was able to sift through my over-thinking “ummms…” and nervous “hmmms…” with kindness, patience and gentle understanding. The colors displayed on the wall spoke to her like they were BFFs, as she would run from one end of the wall to the other end, to show me why stone pink can go with bright yellow .

I would say, though, her two taller colleagues, did very little to help her despite my large order of cans and lengthy time spent. Not a biggie for me but wanted to make sure that F&B recognized Bryant’s hard work.

Now for the paint! The quality of the paint I took home was like nothing I’ve ever purchased before—my wallet was quick to remind me.

I did a two-tone wall with London Clay on the lower-half and Mouse’s Back on upper-half + ceiling. For the crown molding & baseboards, I took a chance on a muted rose color: Sulking Room Pink. And I requested their glossiest version! With an equally glossy dark grey-green called Treron for smaller accents near my door and closet door.

And OMG. They’re everything I could have hoped for! You just HAVE to make sure to get the appropriate primer that matches their respective undertone (light, mid, dark). I believe this further divides into the type of wall, but don’t quote me on that. Especially for the glossy trims. I tried some of the glossy pink and green on the trim without primer at first and was kind of let down with the colors. But when I tried it with the primer first, and then the paint—whoooo! Game changer 😅. The paint looked like it was laced with decadent cake batter that you can’t really afford.

I’m almost done painting this room but I can’t wait to go back to F&B already for my next project!! Thanks for reading! 🥰
