Dairy Queen Store

I work for a nonprofit that helps adults with disabilities and we treated a group to ice cream at DQ in the middle of January. There were 20+ of us and only one employee was working. He was so patient with us and did such a phenomenal job! Everyone loved what they got and it was such a special day :) thank you DQ!

William the manager was so kind to me tonight, I pulled up after they closed and he serviced me anyway, even though I would never expect him to, and was just so sweet the whole interaction. A little kindness can go a long way sometimes. Thank you William, I hope this employer is worthy of your kind spirit.

I know we were the only customers at the time but inside just seemed really sad, but outside on gull Rd is a very pleasant view to enjoy DQ ice cream

The new night manager was great. I didn’t get his name but he was very outgoing and polite. Ice cream was cold and delicious. The other gentleman making our order got us our ice cream quickly! Thank you for your great service

Great store with exceptional employees. The service is fast and friendly. These guys hand you a very generously sized cone that looks like it is ready for a DQ commercial shoot. Just perfect.

Haven't been to DQ in years and last night was the best visit ever! The staff was super friendly and even laughed and joked with us. They were fast, efficient, and our order was perfect! Both gentlemen working were professional and still able to have a little fun in the process. Love the positive energy we experienced last night. Kudos you guys!!

From what I gather, this location is under new management, and they are sincerely dedicated to turning the store's reputation around. Not only that, but THEY want to give everyone a great experience, which seems exceedingly hard to come by in a service industry where most employees are younger and not neccesarily ready and willing to go above and beyond. I needed a plain old ice cream cake, wasn't looking for anything special. I just wasn't expecting much, you go to "fast food" places and you're just a number. The manager encouraged me to make the cake more personal and even provided some really good suggestions for what I could do, things I hadn't even considered, not to upcharge me (because it DIDN'T cost extra), but just because he recognized an opportunity to make someone's day a little better and easier. They even whipped up a new cake for me in a few minutes so I could have exactly what we had come up with. I can't sing their praises enough - I've been to five star bougie restaurants and not had this level of personalized service. They were friendly and fast, and went well above and beyond. Thank you so much, guys (and girl)!

I see a few complaints about customer service, but I just had an excellent experience at this location. Krystal provided fun, professional service. If you go and service is bad, ask for her. Blizzards were fantastic. She helped with the order and selection of items...may seem small, but I feel in Fast Food that is above and beyond.

The manager was great. Super friendly, holds great conversation and when asked, he suggested two of the tastiest treats me and my sig.o have had in awhile... we will be back to Gull rd. DQ and we live closer to (Portage rd) Thank you to James and his crew.

Best group of workers James(and the giant peach), Pookie, and The Taurus. Great personalities along with the best Olive burger, and Blizzard we've ever gotten here. Olives stayed on burger instead of falling off, and my Blizzard was completely mixed from top to bottom with goodies in every bite!!! Mmmmmmm thanks guys we will be back!!!

Cherry dipped cones!!!!! Absolutely delicious, Belle was our server and she, her beautiful green eyes and awesome attitude made this a pleasant visit. Right portions and food quality made our experience great, thanks again Belle!

Kids love it. Great destination on your bike ride in the celery flats. 3-4 picnic tables. Outside dining only.

James and his crew were awesome. James was so outgoing and friendly. He definitely made our day. His crew members made delicious treats. We will definitely be back. Thanks James and crew! A++

I always sneak away and grab Dairy Queen whenever I get a chance. Their chili cheese dogs are amazing and their pineapple malts are to die for. Their prices can be on the high side but their food is well worth it.

The Gull road Dairy Queen is amazing!! The best service of any Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to! The people are friendly, the customer service was great and fast and the ice cream was amazing of course! Best DQ in Kalamazoo!!

came in and had my order taken care of quickly, the guy that handled my order was William, super polite guy.

You can never go wrong with a blizzard. dairy Queen is my happy place, through this whole pandemic they have stayed open and serving some of the best blizzards I've ever had.

This dairy queen has the best service hands down. The crew here is always polite and smiling, the food always hot and delicious.
Would definitely recommend trying this location!!

Stopped by the other night for ice cream. Fast service and really friendly! The night manager was really outgoing. Will definitely be stopping in again
