I would recommend Speers Electric to repair any appliance. When my elderly Mother’s washer stopped working and it was going to take 2 weeks to get someone to site, I talked with Cheryl and she was so helpful and had an apprentice come to the home to ensure it wasn’t a breaker and to see if a part was necessary. The Apprentice was able to solve the issue immediately and my Mother is so greatly relieved. Cheryl and the Speers Team were so proactive, responsive and helpful! Thank you to all for your creativity and work ethic. You have made a very dear Mother and her family very happy!

We recently replaced all of our appliances. Cheryl was incredibly helpful in helping us select the right ones for our space. Delivery and installation by Aiden & Jackson was very professional. Then we had an outside light installed and pot lights throughout our main floor. Kyle and his team were very efficient and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Overall a great team! We would definitely recommend them!

Went in Monday to purchase a washer, had it delivered and installed Wednesday. The delivery guys even gave me some time to clean out the spot between removing the old unit and putting the new one in. Great experience. :)

I needed a variety of electronical work done in my home. Light fixtures, receptacle repair, additional wiring ect. Jeremy and Nate showed up on time and completed everything I wanted efficiently and correctly. Im very pleased with the professionalism and customer service. We initially reached out as our washing machine was having issues. They booked a service visit the same week and the technician was on time. He was very professional, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained the problem. Although we decided not to repair the machine, we did decide to purchase a new one from them. It was delivered the next business day.

The most important thing I want to note is that although there was a small issue on delivery, when I brought it to their attention it was immediately rectified to my satisfaction with no hesitation. I find that how a company deals with an issue shows more about them then when everything goes just right, and they did great on this front.

We moved into a new home and a large appliance company let us down on installation of 3 appliances. Not knowing the area I called Speers, glad I did. Don arranged to have our appliances installed quickly so efficiently. In coversation he found out we wouldn't have a cook top until the end of Dec he suggested that they could see if the had a used one that we could use until ours arrived. I didn't expect that at all. He said it may not look great but it will serve the purpose. Wow, we have not received this kind of " old school " customer service with integrity in years! Thank you. We will be using Speers for all our electrical needs and appliance purchases for the future. We are very grateful for your kind service and very professional installation. We highly recommend this longstanding community business. A wonderful welcome for us to Elora.

I have to change my initial review. This place has been absolutely awful lately. I hired them to fix a dryer. The repair man came, fixed it and then the next day it wasn't working. I called Speers thinking (based on past performance) that they would be apologetic and send the repairman out to fix it free of charge.

I asked if the repair person had not tested it before he left the job and the lady who takes the service calls said that because I didn't say it was a coin laundry machine the repair person had not brought loonies to test it. I gently reminded her that when I called the very first thing I asked was "Do you repair coin operated machines"

Anyway. I had him come out again and $545 later apparently it was fixed.

No! It was still broken.. I really could not believe this so phoned Speers. This time the lady was extremely rude and ended the call abruptly.

Somehow I am to blame even though I had already paid the bill.. I simply asked if they could come fix it a third time! I was never rude

Anyway. The owner.. Jim Speers called me and talked at me for about 15-20 minutes never asking me any questions. He was just talking and talking and talking. I don't think he listened to a word I said.

He had called me the first time it broke and it was the same thing. He also did not remember ever talking to me, he also said he did not want me as a customer and actually said he would not charge me for the service call. Then he realized I had already paid the bill. I asked him to refund me. He said he would. I have been waiting over a week for the refund and have sent two emails asking for the refund to my credit card.

I was not going to leave a review, if they refunded me because that would be the right thing to do. But they have not refunded me or answered any email.

If they do refund me I will take down this review as it would be fair.

Finally. I called another company and they came immediately and told me the machine needs to be replaced and that it should never have been serviced.

I have bought a new machine and it works perfectly.

Before this Speers was wonderful. But this was the oddest most horrible service. I really hope that this review serves them well and they do not treat another customer so horribly.

Jackson and Aidan just delivered my appliances very personable professional and efficient. These two gentlemen went above and beyond 👏. Very impressed with the service well done.
