Restaurant El Sequer de Tonica

Found this amazing restaurant by accident! How lucky am I! Was greeted by Lola, she's great ànd was very welcoming. As a solo traveller trying to book a table, can be quite difficult at Spanish restaurant especially menus are for minimum 2 people. E.g. Paella, fish dishes. I ordered a tomato, fresh tuna ànd ànchovy sàlad foŕ stàrters ànd a prawn, veg paella for 2 haha ate half in restaurant ànd rest of to take away. House White wine was great and had tiramisu to finish! Waitress who served me and the other staff was very friendly ànd professional. Thank you so much! 🥘

The MOST incredible meal ever at El Sequer de Tonica. Best paella we’ve ever had, lovely starters and beautiful homemade dessert. And incredible value with it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and worth a trip from Valencia.

Went here by accident and it was the best paella we had in Valencia. The appetizer was also delicious with very decent price. Will come back for more.

If we could give the service an 10 we would! Everyone is very friendly - muy amable! El Sequer de Tonica is lovely spot away from all of the tourist spots in northern El Palmer, with comfortable seating indoors and out, and wonderful food and presentation. I had the tartare de atún and my husband the paella with chicken and rabbit - both so fresh and delicious. We were served a little boca to start, and a bit of cake with a digestif to end a very memorable experience.

The quality of the food is wonderful and the service was awesome!
We ordered “clotxines” which are valencian mussels, super fresh and tasty, xipironet, a deep fried small squid, a seeafood paella which was the best I have ever had!
For dessert we had cheesecake and brownie, all homemade and delicious.
If you are looking for traditional valencian homemade food, you must try this place!
It is not far from the city, you can either go with public transport or rent a car, but it’s totally worth it!
You can also enjoy the wonderful magic of the Albufera, see the rice fields and then go to enjoy the sea and nature of the Devesa del Saler beach.

I went with some friends and the staff were fantastics and great persons. The food is really good. Excellent place to eat the typical paella after a tour for the Albufera

Went for Christmas Eve, it’s a hike to get there but definitely worth it!!! Have them call you a cab to make sure you can get back on holidays but besides that the paella and wine were great!

Great paella. Friendly staff. Good value. Sat outside with views of the rice fields. Very glad we went. Muy bien!
