Afon Gwyn Country House

We stayed Friday to Sunday. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the friendly hosts Rana and Gareth and shown to our room. Everything was carefully explained and throughout the weekend they made every effort to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast choices were excellent and perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed spending time chatting together with Rana and Gareth. Thanks. Would recommend.

Stayed here with my partner for two nights. Greeted by the hosts as soon as we got there and given a run down. Brilliant service, made us feel very at home.
The room was spotless and a great size. Super cozy bed.
Breakfast was relaxed and tasty😊

The hosts were amazing and we had the most wonderful time. The rooms are very comfortable and everything is setup very thoughtfully. The breakfast has a wide variety and the food was great - they are very accommodating to special food preferences/restrictions. We had a great time and hope to be back soon!

We stayed at the lovely Afon Gwyn Country House a couple of weeks ago. It was the nicest BnB we've had the pleasure of staying at, immaculately clean, cosy, and run with care. The hosts are absolutely charming and so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was superb with a table of lovely fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt (which was delicious), as well as the hot options which are made to order. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, and hope we one day get the chance to return.

The tastefully decorated B&B is set in a beautiful location with spacious comfortable rooms. Wide choice of freshly cooked breakfasts (including vegetarian options) alongside a lovely array of fruit and cereals available each morning. It was the perfect stay! Thank you!

Where do I start? Spent a wonderful couple of days in North Wales. We chose to stay here because of the fabulous reviews. Rana and Gareth are wonderful hosts. They're attentive, kind, and fun. The breakfast was delicious (cooked by Rana) with a variety of morning foods offered. Gareth is a charming mâitre d' who reassures his guests to be relaxed and well fed. The room was spotless (I am not exaggerating), and everything one might need was available in the room; each to a high standard. The building is beautiful and superbly placed as a starting point to many beautiful places such as Mt Snowdon, Caernarfon, and Port Meirion. I can't wait to go back. I've added a few photos, not just the lovely room.

Gareth and Rana made us feel extremely welcome and went above and beyond during our 3-night stay. The B&B was clean, reasonably-priced and in a great location. The breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious. We stayed in the Robinson room, which was large, bright and comfortable. We hope to return again in the future and could not recommend it highly enough.

Yes, the place is pristine clean and looked after! The hosts are kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, toast and home made yogurt on top of a cooked choice. The bed was incredibly comfortable... and the location is worth visiting and exploring! 5 star 🥰

Amazing three nights stay (17th-19th August). Rana and Gareth are the perfect hosts extending the warmest welcome. We were looked after from when we first booked and throughout our stay. The house is set in a perfect, quiet location, an easy walking distance to the main eatery places. We had a beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious room with a large ensuite. Every morning greeted with very generous portions of breakfast choice on offer.
Not a fault to find!
We will certainly be returning.

Gareth and rhana were absolute gems. When we arrived... rhana brought us a luvlee pot of tea to our room. Much appreciated after our journey.
The full English breakfast were excellent and both top quality and plentiful.
The actual guest house is beautiful...our room was first class comfort.
We would highly recommend this guest house to anyone and when we're next in North wales we will definitely be back.

Lovely rooms, fantastic breakfasts, ample parking and friendly hosts. We have loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to others as a good base for exploring Snowdonia and northern Wales.

Great central location. The owners, Gareth and Rana welcomed us with great hospitality and kindness. The room was perfect: neat, clean and with great style. Designed with attention to detail; but the most importantly - great service and amazing food! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely from the second you pull on the drive. Beautiful scenery, a very warm welcome, with rooms that are amazing. Breakfast is served in the conservatory and this is enough to satisfy your needs. I cannot fault anything here, and I will definitely be returning to the Afon Gwyn again. 5* guest house is very good value for money.

Simply the best. Hosts warm and relaxed, nothing too much trouble for them. The property is gorgeous, well equipped to the highest standards, wonderful location, we ddd not want to leave. Great location for exploring the area, so many places to visit nearby. Excellent hosts, really helpful and informative. B & B itself is gorgeous with everything you could need. Lovely huge room, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed our break.

From the beginning till the very last moment everything was perfect. Nice and clean rooms, wide choice of breakfast, peaceful area and the best hosts in the world. Definitely we will be back when we will visit this area again.

Excellent place to stay for exploring the local area. Service is excellent as are the rooms and breakfast. Really restful place to stay and recharge after long days out enjoying the local countryside.
