I can’t imagine a better place to stay at!! Perfect location, relaxing atmosphere and wonderful vegan-friendly food! Sean is the most welcoming host, took very good care of us. The village of Bets-y-Coed is incredibly picturesque and a 15 min walk away. There are a few shops and restaurants but it’s not overcrowded with tourists. We were based at the B&B for 3 days and could quickly reach Snowdon and nearby towns while returning to this little piece of heaven in the evening. Hope to be back 😊

Delighted with everything, thank you so much! Room (twin as last room available) was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for an overnight stay. Bedding was spot on as was the breakfast in the morning.
Sean the host was knowledgeable and friendly. Would 100% recommend anyone looking to stay near Snowdon.

We had the most memorable anniversary trip in north wales because of Glyntwrog House. Sean & Mary-Ann made this B&B feel like home. They went above and beyond to give tailored recommendations to our interests and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfasts were hearty and compromised of handmade / homegrown ingredients from the area and made by locals. The room felt so luxurious and well stocked with teas, coffees, fresh water, and biscuits! It was a real treat and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and romantic weekend away.

Everything was absolutely spot on!
Everything just perfect!
- Amazing location with beautiful views. Town is close by with nice bars and restaurants. Some places need to be booked in advance, so be ready! There are walks near the place or a short drive to main hiking routes.
- Beautiful rooms, recently refurbished. All details were thought through, so there is everything that you as a guest need. We loved the interior design a lot. We stayed at super king/superior room.
- Amazing breakfast, everything was fresh and really tasty, locally sourced and prepared by the host, Sean.
- Important to say that what makes this place so special is the HOSTS. We really enjoyed nice chats with Sean and Mary-Ann. Sean was entertaining us a lot and sharing knowledge about the area!
Overall, we are really happy with our stay and would love to come back!

Truly deserves the wonderful reviews. My wife and I came for an anniversary long weekend and Sean and Mary-Ann made us feel so welcome and at home right from checkin. The guest house is homely and well situated with a beautiful view and the rooms are spacious, our super king had a view of the river and was equipped with charging ports, a closet and excellent bathroom. What really sets the experience apart is the personal attention from Sean and Mary Ann who recommended excellent eating spots in Betwys, shared stories about the house and area and had lots of details about attractions. They took care with our breakfast and dietary requirements and even shared how they’re sourcing food from local suppliers. A truly memorable stay, thank you!

Me, my wife and son had a wonderful stay a few weeks before Christmas. Sean puts together the most amazing locally sourced breakfasts lovingly cooked on his AGA, he and his wife Mary put everything into making our stay special, he’s so warm and welcoming and makes you feel at ease. We’ll definitely be returning, the rooms were clean and stylish and the complimentary biscuits teas and coffee all top draw. Thanks Sean for a lovely stay.

Had a fantastic stay a few weeks back, so much so that I stayed an extra night. The experience from start to finish was superb. Even prior to my arrival communcation was quick and attentive as I was making my travel arrrangements. Only about a 10/15 minute walk to village centre. I enjoyed being a little more removed from town. The room itself my cozy, clean, and bed comfy. And as a sweets fan the room treats along with the candy dish by the front door made me extra happy. And then there is the made to order breakfast with locally sourced ingredients in a delightful bright room. Sean and Mary Ann really go above and beyond to make you feel like you're one of the family. Top notch reccomendations as well for local experiences and eateries. Without a doubt would stay here again when in the area!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. The location was ideal, 15 minute walk into the village centre making it a really peaceful location. The hosts were exceptional, friendly from the moment we arrived and really informative of the area which helped us find beautiful spots as well as meal recommendations (Hangin’ Pizza, Royal Oak Pub). Easy access to Snowdonia areas (20 minute drive) so allowed us to make the most of our time there - drive to sunrises/sunsets, the North Wales coastline and local experiences (GoBelow). Homely breakfast which was quick and filling. The host asked us what we’d like beforehand and had range of options (fruit bowl, cereal, toasts, vegetarian meals, cooked breakfast). The rooms were comfortable and had lovely facilities. Would go back and highly recommend to anyone staying in Betws-y-coed!

Two of us riding the Traws Eryri, arrived to a warm welcome, informative run down of facilities and very comfy beds. Highly recommended and local produce breakfast capped it off.

Lovely setting, with great hosts who look after you very well, from walking tips to asking your breakfast preferences. The room we had was spacious, with a nice sized bathroom. Great tea and coffee selection in the room also, with local biscuits to try. Breakfast was really good, with a selection of cereals, fruits and drinks available. Cooked breakfast was really good too. An easy walk in to town and all its amenities is around 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Wales and we're so glad we booked Glyntwrog House! Great location, lovely rooms and views. Sean and Mary-Ann have thought of everything to make your stay a home away from home. They were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they were always happy to chat and answer any questions about the area/activities/things to do during the stay. The cooked breakfasts every morning were also delicious and something we will look forward to when we book again!

We had the most wonderful stay at Glyntwrog House to celebrate my early birthday weekend.
Sean was a wonderful and very kind host, he also gave us lots of great recommendations on places to visit in Betws.
The room was lovely and spotless clean, bed was comfortable and there were so many nice touches such as oatmilk sachets and Nescafe machine.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, we had the full Welsh breakfast homemade and all local produce which tasted incredible. The view from Glyntwrog was spectacular, such a beautiful and relaxing place.
Everything was truly perfect and will will definitely be back soon!

As a bed and breakfast hotel, this is really first rate. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent, with multiple options to meet any dietary requirements. The hotel is very well located for exploring throughout Snowdonia and North Wales.

What elevates this above other similar hotels I've been to is how attentive the hosts are. From before we arrived Sean and Mary-Ann couldn't have been more helpful and generous with their time. They were both exceptionally warm and cordial any time we spoke to them, and I saw from their interactions with other guests that they were willing to help every guest to the same extent.

If I were to return to this part of the world for a less brief stay I wouldn't hesitate in coming back and staying here again.

This was my second visit to this delightful bed and breakfast, I had enjoyed my first visit in 2018 so much that it was on my revisit list, and I was not dissapointed.
When I arrived the owner greeted me and was friendly and helpful, I was taken to my room which was clean, comfortable, had everything I needed and amazing views.
Breakfast was served in the lovely dining room which had views of the gardens.
There was plenty of choice, fresh fruit, yoghurts, milk and fruit juices in a fridge and cereals arranged in clean jars next to it. There was plenty of hot options to choose from, I had kedgeree which was exceptional, smoked salmon and I also tried the home cooked pancakes with fresh fruit.
As it was my birthday on my visit the owners left a birthday card in my room which was a lovely touch.
Betws-y-Coed is a delightful place to visit with anything you need for a great holiday.
All in all I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast for a stay on a visit to North Wales.

Lovely family run B&B with thought given to every detail.

Relatively short (with pavements) walk into the village. Once we arrived we didn’t use the car as had our bikes so no need, super place to explore the fantastic hills and lakes of North Wales

Our room was incredibly comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome, beware though Shawn likes to feed you!

Superb property. If you’re looking for a stay in Betws-Y-Coed - this is it. No other hotel or BnB can provide a similar experience in my opinion. Beautiful rooms, immaculate washrooms and the best breakfast possible. The in-room tea-coffee-milk choices will give any 5 star hotel a run for their money! The room has been designed keeping the guest’s convenience. Every detail - eg plug points at bed side, hangers for a cupboard has been taken care of. They source everything locally - and curate a beautiful experience.
Sean and Mary-Ann (owners of the property) are probably the most attentive and kind hosts to ever run BnBs! We are floored by their passion to provide the best possible experience to all guests. They knew us by name, the moment we walked in. Sean’s recommendations helped us plan our holiday even better. Thank you for everything.

What a wonderful stay we had at Glyntwrog House! The location is wonderful and the house itself is beautiful. I made contact prior to our stay regarding accessibility and was provided with a prompt response detailing everything I needed to know.

We received a great welcome from Sean who showed us in, gave us some information about the house and the local area and some recommendations for dinner that evening.

We were in room 2 which was so cosy and comfortable. Sean and Mary-Ann have thought of everything and there are so many thoughtful touches to ensure you're warm and comfortable.

Everything was immaculately clean and the furniture quality and decor were to a very high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and linen were of a lovely quality.

We slept like logs, only to be awoken by the smell of the delicious breakfast emanating up the stairs! It was truly one of the most delicious breakfasts we have had - a particular mention must go to the delicious free range eggs, homemade potato rostis and sourdough toast.

If you are thinking of booking to stay here, call and speak to Sean or Mary-Ann directly as they are sure to make you as welcome as they made us. Thank you both so much, we will be back!

Would like to thank Sean and Mary Ann for a fantastic weekend, nothing was to much trouble! The breakfast was superb, my kedgeree yesterday was as good as it gets. Loved the extra little touches, the Welsh cakes and the Bara Brith. Our room was outstanding, so pretty, and super clean. Sean’s knowledge of the area is excellent! If I could give 11 out of 10 I would. This review is also on behalf of my husband who also had a wonderful time. Already in our plans to visit again in the future. Thanks again to you both.
