Joan's North Wales Parrot Rescue shop

Joan and the hard workers at the rescue are brilliant, they work so hard for the birds and there are so many parrots that need them. Every penny from the shop goes to help, food and vet fees are so expensive. There are lots of animal rescues, but Joan is the only parrot rescue in the whole of North Wales so this rescue is the only one who can help birds. The shop has lots of bargains in every department, and they also have a selection of parrot treats and toys, well worth a visit. There's even (usually) parking just next to the shop, and, if not, they're only a few minutes away from the large car park at the Bay View shopping centre.

The shop is to raise money to assist with the care and finance involved to keep these magnificent birds healthy and find them new homes. Keeping these tropical beauties is quite costly and joan looks after all these birds with her husband and volunteers. The care is second to none and the shop helps with the running of the rescue. The shop is lovely and has a variety of new and donated items, plenty of bargains and friendly staff. I personally love the vintage pottery, blazers and the abundance of beautiful clothes and bags. There is also information and food for birds, jewelry and plenty of household items and artwork. If you would like to visit or donate please do, it will be very much appreciated and joan also welcomes volunteers. You will learn alot about the birds and also sometimes see the birds when joan arranges bird talks in the shop or in the area.

Joan is 1 in a Million!!!
Her drive and dedication to the birds welfare is unbelievable. From home made meals to play times to looking after their health.

Joan is amazing lady and she dose amazing work rescuing parrots and birds her heat and soul is for them birds parrots and and now she has a second hand shop to help the bird and parts that come some come in in distress some come because there owner can't look after them any more so they get distressed Joan has seen some terrible things the shop she has put her heat into making work it is
