Broad Street Book Centre

This was the last book shop on our visit to Hay, and so glad we didn't miss it! Great range of books, reasonable prices (especially compared to others in Hay!) and very welcoming manager. Make sure you pop in for a browse!

The best shop in Hay for secondhand music mainly classical in particular piano pieces
Very reasonable prices.

This is the only bookshop in Hay on Wye I have had negative feelings with from visiting twice in the past . The owner came across as very unwelcoming and miserable which affected my experience which is sad as the bookshop itself is great.

If you are the manager and read this review please try and be more nicer to your customers, even a smile costs nothing! I understand we get bad days but from the 2 visits I made which were a couple of years apart, I didn't have good experiences sadly.

It's early days but so far they refuse to refund the postage cost of a returned book which makes up part of the total cost, despite mis-advertising it on Amazon in the first place.

Used to be fantastic. Now you’re met by a grumpy man with an awful attitude. Will never shop here again...
