Excellent customer service. I came in with a rather obscure request about Anthony Berkeley and the young lady knew exactly what I was talking about. I didn't know really what I was talking about so totally amazed. And grateful. Very well done.

Almost perfect, fantastic selection of books floor to ceiling books. Many from the golden era of crime writing. Good true crime section too. Decor is amazing. I’d like to have seen some trinkets to buy, mugs maybe? And as it’s an old building on two floors with steps to enter I had to leave my wheelchair outside and struggle with a stick. But that’s to be expected.

Interesting and unique bookshop specializing in crime and horror. Whilst the store may be small, it's packed with a comprehensive range to satisfy these genres.
Staff was friendly, and very covid aware, which helped us feel very comfortable.
Would recommend.

Awesome bookshop with loads for the crime reader and a decent horror selection too.

What a delectable book store. So many gems and several examples of not just one type of horror, but true crime, suspense, classics and modern tales. The design is super unique and makes the store in itself such a striking comparison to the other bookshops around hay-on-wye, but in the best way. Covid guidelines were enforced which made the experience super safe and comforting due to the bookshop being on the smaller side (circa July 2021) and the staff were absolutely lovely.

My favourite bookshop in all of Hay ! What a great place to visit whilst visiting England this Spring! Could have spent all day there....easily. Even had the amazing opportunity to meet my favourite mystery author of all time....Phil Rickman ! And his dog Fergus too ! A highlight of our trip for sure !!

Fabulous themed layout, cornucopia of books in a town already filled with options, you'll find so many gems in here. Very friendly and helpful if you're after particular books/authors. Well worth a visit!

This place is incredible and if you love crime/horror/thriller literature then you must visit this little shop which is bursting with a huge selection of intriguing books. I could have bought so many books during my visit, but I was forced to whittle it down to three!

For every enthusiastic crime reader highly recommended bookstore. The staff is very friendly and gives quality advice. Found some real rarities.
