Attended the soup kitchen with a pal,the hospitality was above and beyond.we were shown round and had vegetable soup, homemade by Elsa a volouteer. Will be coming back next Wednesday, as a single old man it was fantastic to have some homemade soup and a cake.
Recommended highly.

A hidden gem on a back street in Corby. Calling this a “greasy spoon cafe” really doesn’t do justice to how good the experience of eating at The Hungry Hossee is. It’s from a dying breed of traditional British café where the service is friendly, the food affordable, tasty and plentiful.

You’ll find people from across the community eating here too, and everyone is welcomed with a smile.

It’s really apparent that the whole team gives 100% to serving customers and preparing food. So far, I’ve just had a few cooked breakfasts, consisting of bacon, fried egg, sausage, black pudding, sausage square, mushrooms, baked beans and tomatoes with fried bread and bread and butter or toast. They’ll happily accommodated variations/changes too, and cooked breakfasts come with a hot drink too… all very reasonably priced.

Fine dining this is not, but it is good food, it is in surprisingly civil surroundings (looks better inside than out) and the service as I’ve already mentioned is fantastic.

My ONLY suggestion (and this goes for many similar establishments) would be to provide sausages of a higher quality. They’re not bad, but it’s a bit of a missed opportunity that would really elevate the experience.

What a hidden gem. My wife and I visited today after fancying a traditional English breakfast. We came across this place after some recommendations via Google and I'm so glad we visited. The food, the atmosphere and the staff were absolutely brilliant. We felt so welcomed. We got two meals, two hot drinks and two cans of drink for less than £20! The portions are very generous and we were unable to finish though an attempt was made, haha. I cannot recommend enough and we will most definitely be visiting again within the near future.

Went for breakfast. Lovely as usual as I've been before. Staff very friendly. Is cash only, so remember as we needed to go get coined up and returned. Nice and quiet when we visited, bar one customer who was watching videos on his phone loudly behind us which I thought was a bit rude but hey ho we just chatted louder 😂 breakfast was really tasty. Not covered in grease and very well priced for what you get and as equally important they have nice tea. Nothing worse than a cracking breakfast and minging cheap tea! Thanks

My 1st time here but won't be my last, I'm not often in Corby but if I'm there when this place is open I'll be popping in. I couldn't take a pic of my superb vegetarian breakfast but it was a large plate of food for £7, bargain.

If it wasn't for Google search I wouldn't know this was here.

Super friendly staff/owners, nice spacious, clean and tidy premises.

I never knew about this little gem of a cafe until a friend of mine asked me if i want to go out and eat at the hungry Hossee. I said sure, why not. Oh boy, BEST Breakfast ever. You just know the chef takes pride in what they do and they pass their expertise to the customer and you are greeted with a smile, a impeccable service and a top tier tasty Fry up. For the amount you get, and I mean you get alot it is defintely value for money and I have no hesitation in going there again as the food is very top quality.

You would be forgiven for not knowing about this place as it's in a cul de sac behind the shops on studfall avenue so chances are you have passed by this gem. If you haven't had the luxury of knowing about The Hungry Hossee you are really missing out and I would highly recommened that you pay a visit as the food is very nice, the young lady at the counter makes you feel welcome and the chef brings you your food with a warm welcoming smile.

I give The Hungry Hossee a 10/10 My mouth is watering just thinking about the breakfast, go pay this place a visit at your earliest convience you will not regret it I can assure you.

The best place to get a fried breakfast in Britain. Everything’s cooked there and then whilst having a great scottish selection that really makes for an authentic breakfast.
The Lady that runs the place is lovely as well!
