If you are looking for a lovely walk and would like a little history lesson, come check out Hunstanton Beach. Beautiful cliffs meet you and there's a shipwreck to find. After your walk, go check out the bustling town for a quick bite. Great for kids and adults, there's something for all ages.

Lovely beach with a nice walking path from the car park. Nice boardwalk area too. Wish there had been a little more information about the shipwreck, but very nice.

Nice views and expansive sand beach. It is easy to find free street parking all along the road before the car park. At the bottom of the car park is the access to the beach. Turn left and you will find the wreck. Continuing on for a 10 min walk there will be stairs off the beach, this will allow you to complete a nice loop walk back up to your car.

On the rocky side of Hunstanton beach, is this exceptionally fascinating boat wreck called the "Sheraton" a steam trawler used during ww1 and ww2 built in 1907 but during a storm in 1947, broke from its moring and settled where its remains are today, in the right conditions this is a fantastic photo opportunity

This is a great place to walk the dog and the kids, especially at low tide. The cliffs are quite unusual with the red colour running through them. The beach is full of interesting things to look at as you walk and the kids enjoy running about and jumping among the big rocks. The wreck itself is quite fascinating when you reach it and has quite a history. All in all a good relaxing place to take a leisurely walk with or without dogs/kids

Lots of sand has been washed off the beach, probably because of what they did at Skegness pumping sand onto theirs.
However Hunstanton really has it all, so go and enjoy the atmosphere, fish and chips and ice cream.

Beautiful place to walk from Hunstanton (Sunny Hunny) to old Hunstanton. Amazing views of the cliffs but don't get too close (you will see when you get there) . Plenty of time to walk when the tide is going out. Take a camera or phone to make sure you take plenty of pictures.

After a lovely stroll along the sands of hunstantons beach, we stumbled upon this fascinating ship wreck! We were surprised by its size and how much of it was in tact! Our 5 year old loved exploring it, as did we! A carefully timed trip...bearing in mind the tides, is essential as only a few places to get back up the cliffs!

Fabulous beach with lots of space for the dogs or kids to run around. There is a steep zig zag path leading down to the beach, parking on the cliff is pay at meter, and there are toilets and a cafe / shop at the entrance to the car park bear the lighthouse. We walked along the beach from the cliffs into town for fish and chips and then walked back again along the cliff top, under 2 miles round trip, relatively easy stroll.

Lots of shells. Just Make sure to go there earlier, otherwise the tidy goes up high, you can’t find the wreck of ship. The Clifftop car park has the path directly down here. Some free parking on the road.

This is the wreck of the Steam Trawler Sheraton. It was built in 1907 as a fishing boat measuring approximately 130ft long by 23 ft wide, the Sheraton had a 12ft draught and was constructed of steel. In WW1 and WW2 she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy as an offshore patrol boat and minesweeper. After the war she was painted yellow and used as target practice before breaking free in a storm and running aground here on 23 April 1947. Attempts to refloat her failed and she was stripped for scrap. All that remains is the bottom of the hull sticking out of the sand like the spinal column of a dinosaur.

Incredible to see the hull of this boat still intact after so many years. Visit when the tide is out so you can see it better but even when the waves are lapping up against the wreck, you can still get near to it

Amazing location to visit 2 hours either side of high tide for the best shots. The location is great for sunsets.

A little lovely day out, fascinating shipwreck and the fossils, shells and stones on the beach. The beach was clean and fellow dog walkers friendly.

Located between Old Hunstanton and the new town, the, beach, cliffs and features along this stretch of coastline are superb. The wreck itself is exposed only during low tide and soon disappears as the tide comes in. Great for photos, especially on a clear day towards sunset. Well worth hunting out.

From Heritage Norfolk :

"The wreck of the Sheraton, a trawler that was launched in 1907. Between 1915 and 1918 the trawler was used during boom defence work and in World War Two it served as a patrol vessel. In 1945 it became a target ship, before being wrecked in 1947. In 2004 the wreck was 38.5m long by 5.35m wide, with a substantial section of the metal hull surviving. "

Great walk, if your walking left to right (facing the cliff) then I recommend to make your way up the steps and keep going till you find the coffee pot and then have the cheese on toast!
