Oak Fired At The Royal Oak

We visited our friends and decided on take out pizzas. Oak fired pizzas were amazing!!!! The gluten free and vegan cheese options were great and really tasty. The kids were really impressed and the meat balls went down a storm too.

Yet again another fantastic meal with the authentic pizza! The sauce is to die for.

We had the calamari to start! So fresh and tasty. The pizza was out of this world. The sauce alone is the best you can find and so fresh. Freezing cold Peroni! :-)

The guys are not abrupt, they are professional! Service is to a very high standard. This place is spotless and they take pride in their work clearly!

If you’re coming here for chips, go to weather-spoons or Pizza Hut! Oak fired is an authentic pizza restaurant?! Some people are delusional.

Rant over don’t listen to the fools who are after chips. This place has authentic with unique flavours. We love it more every time.

Really great pizza's. Great staff and service. Recommended.

This fab place is just minutes away from where we are staying and I had already been checking it out online, before we arrived. We received a warm welcome and were seated and served nice and quick. Everything we ate was delicious. Hubby and I opted for the pizza of the day and shared 3 plates of starters. Puddings were the brownie and the pistachio tower - this was amazing and tasted so good. Highly recommend a visit.

Choose to take a special, pizza loving person here to celebrate. The welcome, service and kindness we were shown was mind blowing. The food was delicious, they catered for traditional pizza lovers but also had great options for those who want something different. I can't recommend highly enough and will definitely return.

This is truly a gem of beccles, the food was to an absolutely fantastic standard it was wonderful! Paul and Paul are so welcoming they made sure that we had everything we needed and the staff was also attentive making sure we had drinks and checking that everything was OK, the menu has lots of choice and there really is something for everyone would highly recommend please get yourselves down to Oak Fired 😊

Fantastic pizzas in a nice pub style setting. Offered both gluten free and vegan options, and service was super friendly. Visited with my family and children welcome. Highly recommended.

I'd like to say I am a bit of a pizza connoisseur. Having eaten pizza in many places around the world, including Italy. We ate today at The Royal Oak, myself having a pizza and my other half, having carbonara. I can say that this pizza was easily up there with the best pizzas I've ever had. And the carbonara was delicious too. The pizza was full of amazing flavours, and you can tell that the ingredients are genuinely of high quality. The service was pleasant, and the decor inside was lovely too. The oven is a beautiful artifact too! We will be back, and this I'm sure will become a regular haunt of ours!

Had an excellent meal as part of a large family booking. Food was excellent, pizzas especially were delicious.

Perfect pizzas, friendly owners.

I've visited almost every week for 4 years (as at Nov 21) and enjoyed best ever pizzas consistently. Cooking in an Oak fired oven gives an unbeatably distinctive flavour.

Ordered pizzas for collection - ready on time and lovely pizzas (margherita with double pepperoni) with lots of flavour. Would recommend and eat from here again.

Had a great Americana Pizza this evening and the rest or our group enjoyed their pizzas too!
We will certianly be coming back again.

We haven’t lived in Beccles long but decided to pop in for dinner on a whim with our children after seeing some signage down by the river. The staff were immediately friendly and attentive as we walked in, even my 7 year old commented on how lovely the young man that was serving our table was!!

The food was delicious and fresh, the calamari was some of the best we’ve had in some time and the pizzas were beautiful. So glad we stumbled on this little gem, we’ll be back again (the kids were already planning our next visit while we were eating our food!). Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience.

We were staying overnight nearby and after reading previous reviews we decided to call in on the offchance to see if any Gluten Free options were available. Expecting the answer to be "no", we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to offer a GF pizza base (for my wife) so the three of us were happy to give Oak Fired a try.
I had an Arracini stater which was really good, followed by pizza all round (one GF as requested).
Service was prompt and friendly and the food was excellent.
The pizza was quite honestly the best I have had and only equalled by a visit to a small restaurant outside Rome many years ago. Real authentic italian pizza - well done guys!

Pizza was fantastic. Service was friendly. Not easy access for a wheelchair. Will definitely be back. We went mid week early evening on a wet October night so can’t really judge the atmosphere. I can imagine it gets very busy!

Wow! We had a family meal with 2 small children here whilst on holiday and really cannot fault it. The pizzas were delicious and the boys enjoyed their pasta. Also the sundaes were incredible. All the staff were really friendly including the chefs and I would say for the quality and freshness of the food it's really good value for money. A must if visiting Beccles!

We had been recommended to visit by friends so booked ahead. We arrived early evening and were welcomed by the manager. Despite appearances (looks like a fairly run of the mill pub externally) internally was modern, fresh and open. We were run through the social distancing measures and taken up to a table in the garden. They were fully booked but had a decent amount of space between tables which was very reassuring. The menu was great, a wonderful range of options. When it comes to the pizzas themselves, what a delicious highlight, we have raved about them since.

What a find! Lovely little place that serves awesome authentic pizzas. Definitely shouldn't "judge the book by the cover", it's very nice inside and also consideration is given to customer hygiene in these strange times - hand sanitiser, social distancing, separate take away area, etc.

Had the Neopolitan speciality pizza and wasn't disappointed. Lovely crust, just the right sweetness in the tomato sauce, and perfect amount of cheese. My daughter said her vegan pizza was one of the best she'd had (see picture), and I have experience of how fussy she is (but to be fair, most vegan cheeses are truly awful!).

Friendly efficient service too. Definitely worth a trip for any pizza lover.

My neice lived in Italy for a few years and whilst visiting we had a very local pizza. Oak fired is just like that pizza and brings all those memories back

We placed an order for 4 pizzas , salad and meat balls for a pizza hater . Just wow ! The pizzas were so good and the quality of food was off the scale excellent . Meat balls were in a creamy sauce and the pizza lovers were all drooling over them and had to have a taste. The salad was fresh and delicious
