Very warm welcome from both of the managers with traditional afternoon tea in a cosy historic lounge. Room was very clean and has all what needed. Both of the managers went extra mile by prepared takeout breakfast boxes as they don’t normally do. Nice dining area. Food was very nice and exceptionally fresh. Plenty of parking spots.

What a lovely hotel. The staff were great. Excellent value for money. Rooms are a dated, but still very good. It's an eclectic and quirky hotel, we loved it
To be offered a drink when we arrived was lovely.
Thank you. I am sure we will be back.

We stayed in October and thought the hotel was fantastic. Natalie and family were very very helpful and welcoming in all regards.
Massive projector to watch the world cup in the lounge which was great, and all round good facilities.
Will definitely come back.

This was a lovely hotel that still ran a great service even though they appeared to be short staffed. We had the family room at the top. There was no lift and lots of stairs, so it no good if someone was in a wheelchair. The area is beautiful and abd the White Hart pub next door was excellent. The breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and arrived quickly. You could have a full English or continental and the breakfast room was very light and airy. The rooms we had were clean and well decorated. We were due to book another trip but as I've broken my ankle we can't go there which is a shame. We were in easy reach of Hastings and Winchelsea abd also the historic town of Rye which has a pub called the Mermaid which is 400 years old and well worth a visit. The family who ran it were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you love Quaint you will love Guestling Hall.

My partner booked this for a rest bite for our hectic life...it did not disappoint. Such welcoming hosts, although they have just taken over and making adjustments they made us feel so welcome. Everything felt so homely with the open fire and seating area. Set in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be visiting again in a few months as love the ideas they have for the place after talking to them. We stayed in room 1 and absolutely loved the decor and quirkiness of the room. Already looking at dates to go back.
Thank you for providing us with the peace and tranquility we so desperately needed.

Went with a group for Afternoon Tea. One of the better Afternoon Teas we've had.

Staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient.
Sat at the end of the conservatory which was lovely as we had glass on three sides. The tables were laid beautifully, everything clean and neat.

The food was delicious consisting of standard Afternoon Tea fare, but presented wonderfully, making it look very attractive and appetising. Three types of fresh sandwich fingers consisting of smoked salmon, ham and egg. Variety of other savouries, including salad items. Scones with Rodda's clotted cream and mini jars of jam, finishing with a variety of chocolate cake temptations finished with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
Plenty of tea and coffee throughout the meal.

Wandered around some of the rooms on the ground floor and found them fascinating with the wide variety of decor and 'ornaments'. The whole place looked spotless, so I should imagine a stay here would be as enjoyable as our Afternoon Tea.

The whole group thoroughly enjoyed themselves - thank you!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, recently taken over and the new owners can't do enough, they are lovely.
I booked to take my mum away and sadly there was an event on so we couldn't get dinner, or use the lounges which we had hoped to do, the new owners were honoring a previous booking. There is a Beefeater Pub a few minutes away which was nice, just not really what we wanted. There is also no bar so we couldn't have a drink. Wasn't a massive deal but was a shame.
Bed was comfy, room was spotless and breakfast was just perfect! Would like to wish the new owners all the very best for the future!

The welcome we received was like no other. So friendy, professional and informative. The history of the house was fully and interestingly explained. The ambiance is perfect, warm and welcoming. The hosts Craig and Caroline are so friendly and professional in equal amounts. The rooms very clean, with nice beds, bedding and towels. The breakfast was perfect with home baked bread. The dinner was perfect, good portions and very tasty. The selection of gins is phenomenal. Caroline took time to talk through the different flavours. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Will definitely be back again. Please do not change a thing everything is perfect. If you enjoy a quirky and unique hotel this is the place for you.

The location was easy to find using Google maps, there is plenty of parking and the check-in process was easy and quick. The room was extremely clean, the bed was comfy and the water had plenty of pressure behind it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The property itself is old but well maintained, the decor in the social areas is unique and very impressive - the owner of the hall is very well travelled it seems. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained; cds, dvds (of your choice) that can be played on a projector, a chess board and books galore. It is extremely quiet at night. I would return without hesitation, it's not perfect but its homely, friendly, clean, tranquil and to be honest, quite captivating. It is also in a lovely location for the country park, the beaches and the more historic locations - they are all within a short drive away. If I could give it 6 stars, I would - I stay away a lot and this has been a unique but very positive experience - I really felt at peace here. Thank you so much 💓

Caroline, the manager/ host and the friendly chef were outstanding. Caroline greeted us with a free glass of wine and, as I was a little upset, gave me a big hug. The surroundings were quirky, but comfy, homely, very clean and relaxing. Only problem was our room, (attic room number 1) although gorgeous not suitable if, as with myself, your knees or legs are not top notch. We were offered another room with no hesitation, but we were too comfy and lazy to move 🤭

Nick and Bella were so welcoming when we arrived for our night’s stay, . Our dog was even welcomed, we were given complimentary drinks before shown to our room. The hosts could not do enough for us. The hotel is lovely, very clean and relaxing. It was lovely to walk our dog around the pond with areas for seating and fire pits. The breakfast was very tasty and filling, would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have just come back from two very enjoyable nights B&B at Guestling Hall. Small comfortable bedroom, wifi, quirky antique furniture and ethnic knickknacks in the public areas, excellent coffee and in my case perfect mushrooms on toast for breakfast, and, best of all, a glass of brandy at bed time. The hotel is sited near the top of Guestling Hill looking towards Rye through the trees, and within the grounds, has a delightful, mossy, wooded "combe" with a fountain in the small lake.
As General MacArthur said, "I shall return!".
