Just back from a weekend break at Greenacres campsite, Coleford. I’ll start by saying I’ll go back and recommend, 100%. Lovely site, huge spaced out pitches. Helpful reception with shop, clean toilet and shower block, flushing loo portaloo in field for evening short trip. Great location for Forest of Dean just outside Coleford, for walking (as we did to Monmouth) or cycling. Recommend Coleford The Tram Shop for fish and chips and The Dog House for a pint or glass of wine. Quiet site from 10pm but could sit up longer quietly chatting, with brought or hired fire pit. Everyone respectful of site rules so everyone enjoys. A bit of a hidden gem. Thank you Team Greenacres.

Lovely clean campsite. Great facilities and plenty of room between plots. We had a hard standing and grass pitch. The staff in the shop and the wardens were all lovely and very helpful. We forgot the washing up sponge and though they had run out in the shop the lovely lady sold me a new one of the ones that they have for their cleaning. Pizzas on the Friday night were fabulous too. Highly recommended.

Stayed this weekend in the cabin (The Ows Hoot), had a fantastic experience - comfy, clean, cosy and felt very private despite being set on the edge of the campsite. The on-site shop provided more than I was expecting and the shared facilities were all clean and well kept. Location really good, 15-20min walk into Coleford!

Stayed in the new Cabin, brilliantly appointed, an absolute home from home (if your home happens to have a hot-tub!!) Spotlessly clean, great facilities, everything you need for a weekend away, whatever the weather! Great little shop on site.
Would book again without hesitation!

Wonderful location, Staff service is amazing, always helping when needed.
Owners are so kinda and helpful, you can really tell when people care about their campsite and these ones do.
No disturbances past 10pm which is hard to regulate and I’ve seen a lot of sites fail on this one but these guys do walk around at 10pm and check quiet time is happening.

We stayed in a tent spot for 2 nights and then had the final night in the log cabin which is super cosy and if the weather turns you can sit just outside under shelter.

Toilet and shower block is perfect, feels like you’re in a luxury leisure centre changing room.

Overall, the best camping experience I’ve ever had on a campsite.

We came in a family group, 8 adults, 3 children and a dog. Plenty of space for our 4 tents, not too close to other tents at all. Just a really lovely campsite, so clean, tidy and well laid out, and lovely flat grass to pitch on. Nice to have a little shop/cafe on site. Very friendly owners /staff. Would absaloutely recommend. A beautiful area too. We also liked that it is not too big a campsite.

We visit once a year and Maureen never disappoints! Don't make the same mistake we did and assume electric hookup is a normal plug system - you need an adapter. The team do wonders and the site is always kept clean and with an abundance of facilities.

Just returned after a 2 night stay the owners were amazing and very welcoming, we arrived a little later than planned and the lovely lady on the phone was very accommodating and give us clear directions on where to go as we missed the closing time for reception. There is a lovely little shop on site where you can purchase all your essentials. Fire pits to rent and wood to buy. The place as a very homely feel, shower block and toilets are very clean. We will be back and will be recommending to family and friends it’s a little Gem

Greenacres is a beautiful presented and well maintained site. Clean modern facilities with all the services you need. Plenty of toilets and showers all clean and well maintained. What makes Greenacres one of my favourite sites is the warm welcome I received from Maureen and her team. They really care about making sure your stay is comfortable and pleasant. Colford village is a short walk and has many small indi shops and also large supermarkets for stocking up. The camp shop also sells essentials. Top tip… follow Maureen’s advice on directions to the camp and you can’t go wrong.

I only stayed one night at Greenacres, but the site is premier.
The facilities are excellent with a modern toilet and shower block. The site also has a small convenience shop/ cafe.
The location is countryside walk across to the lovely town of Coleford.
It was a really welcome stay and I shall definitely return again soon

Excellent campsite which made a lovely stop on our bikepacking trip. Note, the cafe is only open until 4pm on weekdays, we were just in time to get some food. Nice flat grass and a short walk to Coleford.

Just come back from a 4 night stay. Brilliant campsite, lovely owners and fantastic facilities/shop. Will be back again at some point. Why can't all campsites be like this? Even had a dairy free option on their homemade milkshakes 😍

What a lovely site . The owners are friendly and accommodating. Our fridge blew up and they offered to put our perishables in the site fridge. The site was very quiet when we stayed but it was tranquil and we enjoyed our stay. The showers are immaculate . The site offers fire pits for hire and logs for sale which is a lovely touch. Lots of local attractions within east reach including Symonds Yat, Monmouthshire and Chepstow. Will definitely be returning. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you for an enjoyable adventure.

A great little campsite with an assortment of pitches, for tents ⛺ campervans, caravans 🚐 and motorhomes. Hardstanding or grass and with or without electric. A small shop/cafe on site and toilets 🚻 showers 🚿, pot wash, laundrette , elsan point and waste water point, all were clean and in good working order 👍. All in all a very good site and a great price, we will definitely return with or without the group that we were with.

Small shop on site with essentials. hire of firepits for 10 , comes with a bag of logs and you can buy more if you want. Will definitely be coming back here if we venture down this way. Brilliant site, walking distance to Coleford and a short stroll into the forest. All amenities were spotless and a nice little shop in reception with a little takeaway service.
