Visiting area for a meeting and the Tudor Farmhouse was recommended for lunch. It was such a delightful find. Delicious food, beautifully presented and well priced. Attentive staff. We didn’t have a booking but were made to feel very welcome. We will be back and may even stay over…. wonderful to stumble across such a gem.

Went for breakfast here and it was really peaceful. The food was very tasty We ate outside in the courtyard garden and we were well waited on. I think breakfast is set price for a menu pick plus extras and drinks. For us £15 per person.

Beautiful Hotel in a lovely village. Rooms are beautiful and well laid out. Luxury Bramley toiletries, dressing gowns, coffee machine and fridge in room. Resterant serves delicious food from local suppliers. Fantastic wine menu. Breakfast has excellent choices and again delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Food excellent, not a large menu. Very lovely sitting out in the garden. TF is tucked away in Clearwell and a real gem.

Congratulations to the Tudor Farmhouse team. Superb hotel with great service, lovely surroundings in a small village and a top quality dining experience. The head chef Gavin stopped to chat with us after his shift and was delighted to tell us about his produce, menu and wines. The front desk and bar team were a pleasure and couldn't do enough - producing a bespoke walk of the local footpaths. The rooms were presented to a very high standard with excellent mattress, pillows and bedding. Highly recommended for a lazy culinary weekend or active walking and sights of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Thank you. Paul & Julia C

I stayed here overnight for a funeral in the area. I'm very glad I did. What a brilliant stay. It exceeded my expectations in all departments.

Firstly they were very accommodating to my request for late check out. I was shown to my room. I booked the smallest room but it was still pretty big, very high ceilings, high quality fixtures and fittings. Good size bathroom with huge shower. Coffee machine and tea in room. Flannels provided! Hooray! Bedding all of the best quality. And they have 2 electric car chargers in the car park.

Food exceptional. Best mackerel I've ever had. Lovely breakfast.

I know it seems expensive but for what you get it is actually very good value. Couldn't fault the place, from food, to the room to the service. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful Christmas lunch with a large group of friends. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I was very impressed with the selection of vegan options available. I was also pleased to see a good variety of alcohol free drinks. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon.

My husband and I spent Christmas at the Tudor Farmhouse with four of our children. The entire stay was absolutely wonderful. From the rooms to the staff to the food, nothing could be faulted. We also brought a four month old retriever puppy who was treated like royalty. A lot of hotels claim to be dog friendly, but this one went over and above our expectations. Geoff, our Boxing Day walk guide, was terrific and shared with us lots of local knowledge. We would like to mention Katy, Sammy and Dawson who looked after us all so well. Thank you.

I booked three nights here for my girlfriends 27th birthday- it was a perfect combination of relaxation and good cuisine. The location is a great HQ to go on long, winding walks in the local area; knowing that there was a good meal at the end of it certainly gave us peace of mind!

The staff were very accommodating, and offered us advice to where to walk/visit. The food was very well done, both the breakfast and dinners. With a plethora of options for dinner, we were spoilt for choice.

All around a great weekend!

This is a beautiful Tudor building and a stunning boutique hotel. We enjoyed lunch here prior to having a massage , one of the many additional experiences they offer . The food was delicious. The service was great and the environment was stunning. The massage which was inside a quirky shepherds hut was amazing, and Sarah was knowledgeable and an exceptionally good masseuse. I would really recommend a visit.

Booked for afternoon tea whilst in the area and it was such a lovely setting! Sharon was friendly and even called us ahead of our visit to check we were still okay visiting as they were having problems with part of their heating.

Lovely selection of loose leaf teas, and mismatched table wear. The afternoon tea was beautiful - fluffy bread, lovely sandwich fillings, the scones were great & the new cakes were delicious!

Highly recommend!

Lovely and quaint hotel. Very vegan friendly, both for dinner and breakfast.
We had a full 3 courses dinner with onion soup, followed by beet polenta & vegetables and we finished with a chocolate mousse for dessert. All 3 were delicious!
At breakfast we feasted on a vegan English breakfast followed by a soya yogurt with granola and toast. Perfect!
Great service all around, quick and charming. Would definitely recommend the place !

We stayed 2 nights whilst attending a wedding at the Castle. We had 'The Cottage' twas like a holiday cottage. Very warm welcome. Exceptionally clean. Very delicious dinner and breakfast. Locally produced, high quality food served. Very nice wine list and a beautiful bottle of Chablis. Real milk, bottled water and home made cookies in the room. A pleasant and relaxing stay. We will be returning come autumn.

Lovely staff. Good food. Afternoon tea finger sandwiches were heavenly. Fresh bread, local ingredients. Just yum.
Room clean & cosy. Slept well. Loved the green shower tiles.
Lots to do in the area. Narrow roads & gravel entrance hard to spot. But once here you won’t regret it.

Absolutely faultless.
Accommodation, food, service, location and, most importantly, all the staff at Tudor Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant, especially Nicola and Dawson, made our stay perfect.
Thank you so much.

This was a stunning location for our afternoon tea. In a quiet little village but very picturesque. We sat in the beautiful garden and even had a friendly robin taking interest in us. The service was superb and the staff very accomodating. The sandwiches and cakes very tasty and a lovely selection. We had luxury afternoon tea which also included a glass of bubbly each. I cannot fault it here and will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely two night break at tudor farmhouse. We also had breakfast and evening meal for the duration of our stay. The room was very comfortable and cosy and was well furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was
outstanding and so was the service. We thought it was a four or five star hotel but were surprised to find it was three star. Definitely a luxury bed and breakfast.
