An absolutely charming place! The burgers were great, the fries really took it up a notch and were fantastic but the desserts were absolutely incredible! Service was super friendly and you can tell that the food has a lot of care and love put into it. Cannot recommend high enough!

Really nice restaurant in Coleford.
I remember it being a barbers when I was young.
Amazing they have transformed the barbers into a small restaurant, but kept the traditional frontage and inside there is a nod to the history of the shop, including a framed picture of the previous owner, Pat Bolter.
Food is very good and freshly cooked.
Service is friendly and attentive.
The only downside is more customers need to visit.
Come on you Colefordians, use Bolters and support your town.

Wow!!! Bolters in Coleford is honestly my new favourite restaurant in the forest. It looks fabulous, the atmosphere is amazing, the service is superb and the food is to die for. When asked what my favourite dish was I struggled to pick one because everything looked and tasted soo good! An absolute MUST for anyone living or visiting the area. You can’t fault it. We will 100% be returning on a regular basis!

Oh my goodness, this place is incredible! We came in for lunch on the way back from a holiday, and ended up joking about moving to the town so we could eat there every day. I didn't know you could get a great Reuben outside of America, and the pancakes had us contemplating kidnapping the chef. Three of us ate until it hurt, and the bill came to less than £40!

Lovely place. I had the Big Breakfast and my partner had the Mac Bolters - both excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Dinner review. Very generous portions and staff are friendly. Service 10/10 food 10/10. Good vegetarian options. Would come back for lunch or breakfast as those menus also look good

Excellent breakfast food and service. Pancakes were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Only suggestion would be coffee could be improved.

Lovely meal tonight (BBQ platter and also the fish dish) with fab chocolate fondu pudding to share.

What a wonderful little place to get some lovely food! Cosy and attractive, it has a nice feel to it. The food we had was fantastic and the staff were great! Only slight downside for us was that there was a group of loud guys right behind us, everything else was superb!

Lovely staff and the building is cute and rustic.

In terms of the food, my Mac Bolters was absolutely amazing. Really tasty sausage patty. My partner enjoyed his fry-up which had good quality ingredients, but felt the bacon could have been cooked a bit more.

We will be returning!!

Ate here today, and what a good decision. Staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend. I never tip but I did today.

We had the daily special of home-made meatballs on mash potato with a tomato-based sauce. It was interesting, tasty and satisfying without being pretentious in any way. Very good. Reasonable price, good atmosphere and the dessert was tasty too. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
