If you're looking for a golf course that stands out in the North East, Brancepeth Castle Golf Club might just be the best around.

The course is fantastic—challenging in all the right ways. The greens are quick and tricky, They're tough but in a good way that keeps you thinking. The fairways are in great shape, and the bunkers are exactly where they should be. It's a course that really tests your skills, so if you're a high handicapper, you might find it a bit tough, but that's part of the charm.

The practice facilities are spot on, a driving range, nets, putting and chipping greens. The pro shop is well-stocked with everything from clubs to clothing, and the staff are very welcoming.

Brancepeth Castle is also set to host the England Golf English Seniors Men’s Amateur Championship soon, which just goes to show how good this course really is.

All in all, Brancepeth Castle Golf Club is a must-visit if you're in the area. It’s got everything a golfer could want—great layout, excellent conditions, and a challenge that keeps you coming back for more. Just be ready for a tough, but thoroughly enjoyable, round of golf!

Superb gf course our Pros always enjoy this course, a jewel in the crown of golf courses, but it's a tough track though don't expect to be signing for a low sixties, enjoy.

CJ and I came up from East Kent where we play Royal St. George's and Walmer & Kingsdown golf clubs and found your course to be a great course to play. The course was in great condition and the staff and players could not have been friendlier. We will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, friendly staff, food was delicious and the course was in top condition considering the amount of rain we have had last month. Will definitely be back. Tabard golf society.

I played here in a mixed open yesterday. The course was in good condition with excellent greens. The tree lined fairways and some very tough but interesting par 3's make this a good test of your golf. The scenery and views of the castle are excellent. Definitely worth a visit and I will be back.

First time playing the course yesterday and the course was in fantastic condition.

The rough doesn't look much but it's really punishing and the greens rolled fast a true.

The course is beautifully laid out with several holes playing across the ravine that cuts through the course.

On top of the course being in great condition the members were the friendliest I've ever encountered on any course.

What a beautiful course with some seemingly impossible holes especially the par threes. Such an attractive course with the castle and planted areas. Looking forward to another visit.

Greens a bit slow, but reasonably true, well worth a visit. Would come back.

Great day at this lovely ( but tough) course.
Several great holes over ravines to challenge even the best golfers, and not much relent with par 3's as they're quite tough too!

First time I've played at this club, very challenging course, enjoyed even if I did some mountain climbing 😂

Excellent setting for a fabulous golf course and club. Only downside was the greens were indifferent some very wet which is obviously down to the weather recently.
