I absolutely love this shop. The staff/owners are friendly and helpful and it's great for bits and pieces for small DIY jobs, general repairs, light gardening materials and household products. It'll save you a trip to an out of town warehouse too, unless you also need gallons of paint, power tools, a bathroom, a kitchen and a garden shed. The best thing for me is the ability to buy hardware in small quantities. The price per item sometimes seems expensive but if, for instance, you only need four bolts, nuts and washers that's what you can buy. It'll be much cheaper than buying 50 of each at a big retailer and having 138 bits of metal hanging about in the back of a cupboard.

Phenomenal hardware store!! Has everything you could ever need, and if they don’t have it, they will endeavour to try their best to get hold of it in a timely manner! Ok so prices maybe a little higher, however where would we be without little treasure troves like this ! Well done Su B and the rest of the gang!

I've been using D&G for over 20 years, and they've always got the things you need that other stores don't stock, in all the time I've been using them they've never let me down, always great, friendly, helpful service too,

Staff are extreamly helpful and knowledgeable,although you pay a little bit extra than the major diy chains you get a level of service and range you wouldn't find there.it also has an amazing screw board which shows you all their screw stock which is so useful!

I went in to buy some jump leads, the manager not only helped me get the ones I needed but also drove me back to my van and let me use his cars battery to jump start my van.
That's what you call customer service!
