Really lovely helpful lady serving today at the WH Smith Newcastle upon Tyne train station . The small one on the platform. Please pass on my sincere thanks as I left the shop without my bag and she very kindly came looking for me. The bag had my ticket, phone and purse. Thank goodness for her diligence. Around 17.30 today the 12th of September 2018. Thank you so much.

when i was going there i was expecting more than what was there it was dull dry and empty. the atamosafere was just outdated , i spent about 5 mins looking around before i realised there was nothing i wanted, so i ended up only buying a bottle of water using a gift card i got given i tryed swiping it a few times before one of the "staff" came and tried unsurprisingly it didnt work and i was stood there whilst they typed 10 differant codes into the machine . after all of that i hat to drink the water that had a strange floral taste which left me feeling sickly for the rest of the day. definitely not returning again.

Train station Newcastle. Near Platform 11. Member of staff so miserable. Looked quite annoyed because I'd interrupted her texting session on her phone. No please, no thanks and no smile. Dreadful when you think how competitive the market is today for shops. Not to mention how expensive WHSmiths is as well - I thought the experience might make up for the prices. As a former retail manager - I was thinking "no service with a smile then".

Called in to buy the Irish Independent before boarding my train and found I had been sold a paper that was 6 days old, ated Friday 20 January! So a complete waste of money. I expect a stationers that operate as a monopoly in airports and rail stations to be better than this.

Absolute rip off, sandwiches totally overpriced, dry and tasteless. Only took their meal deal as the sandwich alone was so expensive then found out the crisps were out of date. Do yourself a favour do to boots in platform 2 instead. I won't be back there I'm absolutely furious at getting ripped off, if I could post zero stars I would
