Fenwick Newcastle

What an experience this shop is. It prides its self on quality and service. The open space within the store is a pleasure. Where 99% of other stores have crammed as much as they can into the foot print of the building. Fenwick are an exception and need to be congratulated for their efforts. I take my hat off to you.

Love Fenwicks since being a child, it used to have the best toy department and now it seems they are bringing it back, soft toys everywhere and actual toys. The food hall is really good especially for beautiful cakes. And the whole feel of the store is warm and welcoming 😊

Fenwick Northumberland street Newcastle-Upon- Tyne was built in 1914 to designs by the architect Marshall & Tweedy. This opened 140 years ago and has a Christmas Window every year which is a big occasion during Christmas time for Newcastle and the North East.
This year's Christmas Window theme for 2023 is CS Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The store was founded by John James Fenwick in 1882 and is still owned by the Fenwick family today.

Been a while since I last visited but my word this department store has had a glow up! So much so money uncontrollably leaves you! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly & amenities were clean - the food hall is a gem again & women's wear has a brilliant selection..my only note was I was buying valentine's gifts & there were no gift bags not even in the basement.. but what a joy it was to visit here - nostalgic ❤

We went to all Saints to see if they had a certain colour in stock. I wasn't so lucky, but a great staff member said she would have it sent. I opted for the lighter leather

Fab range of clothes, shoes etc and a food hall to die for with different independent sellers. So much variety from around the world.
Bought some sauces/marinades from the Iranian lady. Were amazing with sea bass on the barbecue
Lunch in the tapas restaurant was out of this world!!

I received exceptional customer service from Emily at the Aveda counter yesterday. They really listened to my issue with a product and went above and beyond to help resolve it. So friendly too! Thank you Emily :)

I was served by Mark on tills of the food section. one of the products I was trying to buy had 2 different prices on it and he unprompted to do so, honoured the cheaper of the 2 tags. Mark has went above & beyond for customer satisfaction and I hope he is recognised for his exceptional public communication skills even without positive customer reviews. keep it up! 10/10

My son took ill in the store today. The staff were so lovely, professional & attentive. Made him feel safe and helped so much. Thank you x

The food court is a must in my eye! There is also a parenting room that we did not know about!

If you like your deals, sign up online and look out for special 20% events.

Beutiful displays of top quality products. Many floors. Departments covering all ones' needs in luxury goods expected in a store like this.

Really fantastic store, priced pretty muchbin line with elsewhere. Excellent selection of toys in the children's department and a lovely range of clothing. Christmas windows were fantastic to see, my daughter loved the Shaun the Sheep theme!

Love this shop even tho the staff are not clued up on all the products in store and that's poor training?!
The products once located are second to none and packaged uniquely by fenwicks.
And the wafting aromas from the perfumery next door makes it for me.

Just one thing we want the old style rye loaf reinstated along with Russian cake, and then it's all perfecto as the Spanish would say...PERFECTO :))

Looked updated and more boutique rather than the dated department store which is how i remember my last visit to it years back.

Little disappointed by the cardboard cut out christmas display windows as it didnt give me the same enjoyment as other years displays.

But a great store to browse and buy from.

Nice shop. Big Clean and Organised. Can find almost all high street brands. Seling at retail prices. Ground floor at city centre. Very polite staff.

I would like to share my experience with Charlotte Tilbury and make up artist Gemma .
This is the third time I have returned , Gemma is so talented , i would not go anywhere else now for a make over . She is a perfectionist , Gemma really cares and goes out of her way to make sure you are delighted with your Charlotte tilbury experience .

Fenwick was lovely went in to take a look at the Xmas displays/decorations, which way surpassed John Lewis which was disappointing this year. 'Harrods of the North' :) -Clare from the women's department was lovely, very helpful. I would say the Xmas decs here are far better than we have seen so far on the high street. Please take a look if you have time !

Beautiful store for gifts. Clothing fragrance flowers chocolates. That special present for yourself or someone else. I would recommend this store.
