A real gem. Step through the old front door and this place opens up into separate rooms with several log fires and comfortable seating. Head straight to the back for a bar with table service. Lovely beers, wines and cocktails. The food was delicious here and the service from the friendly young staff was exceptional. Dogs welcome and fussed over with free treats. One of the best places I have visited in a long time. Highly recommended.

I came with my partner after he booked us a night here for my birthday. It was a great night away together to explore the town, have a great meal, and use the spa facilities.

The service here was exceptional. We received help with our bags and the person helping us was incredibly friendly. The bar staff was also great. There is a lot of space to lounge around the bar and lobby area. It’s a very cozy hotel.

The spa area was quiet for the most part. There were two children there for a moment and they weren’t too loud or disruptive. We may have lucked out with timing, but it was quiet and relaxing when we were by the pool.

We got married here in December 2023. It was a wonderful time.

If you're looking for a great place for a small wedding, this is it. The Cromwell Room is perfect.

Special thanks to our astonishing wedding coordinator Melissa A, who was utterly phenomenal.

The food, service, and general atmosphere are wonderful and optimised for winter/Christmas.

Also, it's super dog friendly.

Fantastic stay. Such a wonderful warm environment and dog friendly.
We stayed 2 nights and it was brilliant.
The team are extremely friendly and helpful and the lounge space is big, so lots of nice options to sit with a drink and nibbles.
We ate at both the Tavern and Grill. The food is superb! Full of flavour and just delicious.
Will definitely be returning for another short break soon!

What a brilliant hotel, situated in a beautiful part of the UK. The Grill restaurant is an amazing setting for dinner, and I would highly recommend the Butter Chicken! The whole hotel is extremely comfortable and we loved being able to sit by a REAL fire all day! The spa is lovely and very relaxing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and gave us great recommendations of activities in the local area! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Iconic hotel that never disappoints and now with the added benefit of James Martin's Grill. Food was exquisite and great proportions. Service was a little off par, but not bad just not up to the standard the hotel suggests. Highly recommend the salmon trio starter and lamb shank main.

Just stunning! We came here for our anniversary for a meal at The Grill. The staff are friendly, professional and engaging. The food was everything and more that we expected and the atmosphere and environment were breathtaking. It was just amazing in every way. The decorations were amazing and the lighting was spot on. It was so good we came back the following day for a coffee! I would definitely recommend this place for a stay, drink or dinner. Lots of cosy nooks and crannys and places to sit and relax. Will definitely be coming back!!

Superb venue. I went there for my sisters wedding. We all had a great time. Whether it’s for an event or a weekend away, this is an excellent place to stay. The village is picturesque. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. They have complimentary valet parking which was a nice touch.

Warm, friendly hotel. Called in for a morning coffee and went back for lunch. Very good food and very friendly staff. Great experience, must be the best hotel and restaurant in Broadway. Will return and sample their afternoon tea, looked amazing.

What a wonderful stay! The great hall where dinner and breakfast was served was just amazing. The whole decor throughout was very authentic and traditional and made for a very cosy weekend away. The spa was an added bonus. Lovely staff, very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Can’t recommend enough.

Went to "The Grill by James Martin" for Saturday lunch. The salmon and mushrooms started are top notch. The steak was grilled, but still somehow very soft. Also the butter chicken is something worth traveling for.

We had a girls spa day at the Lygon. The staff was super welcoming and I had the most wonderful massage with Thesma! We finished with high tea and champagne. Perfect end to our Cotswolds trip!

Dined here this afternoon at the Grill by James Martin (New Year's Day 1/1/24). Lovely food and lovely service, especially by the young Asian/Chinese lady. Very personable and friendly, and made all the difference.
The only quibble I'd have is that when I was asking for directions to the restaurant at the hotel's front desk reception (my first time here), I was met by a disinterested / bored / unfriendly receptionist (dyed blonde hair female, early to mid 20s, this was at about 12pm today 1/1/24). I won't go into details as to what transpired but it was not a warm welcome or any welcome at all. I'd suggest that this member staff undergo further training in customer service. This is so that she is able to convey better first impressions especially to someone who has come from many miles afar (Australia) to be part of the Christmas/New Year's celebrations here. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay at Lygon Arms. Everything was amazing and we couldn’t fault it at all-especially the staff.we were served in the bar by a lovely girl called Alice - who was great at guiding us on the best Gins and best wines! We will be back!

Amazing hotel, we stayed 2 nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. The food, and the service was just fantastic. The James Martin restaurant was just lovely, the food was so hearty and homely, we throughly enjoyed his menu. The James Martin Rose wine was so lovely and I recommend it if you are a Rose drinker, we drank quite a few bottles during our stay.
The location of the hotel is set in beautiful Broadway and it well worth a visit, we will definitely be going back in the new year.

The Lygon is something unique! You'll be astounded from the moment you arrive by it's character and TARDIS like transition into a grand and beautiful hotel behind it's quaint exterior on Broadway high Street. The hotel is fabulously equipped with all of the facilities you would expect to find from pool, gym and just about a fireplace in every social area making it a very cosy atmosphere during the winter. The staff were fantastic and we were extremely well taken care of, a personal thank you to Graeme and Paul for being such fabulous hosts 😊 10/10 experience, and I eagerly look forward to next time!

An unbelievably glorious medieval Cotswold hotel built of beautiful local stone in the charming unprecedentedly beautiful village of Broadway nestled at the foot of a large escarpment. The hotel is literally to die for the interior is galleried with large period fireplaces and superb furnishings Visit their website to get a true indication. Fine dining can be enjoyed
as well as gardens and all other five star amenities. ,

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. The hotel had lots of charm and was perfect for a winter getaway. Gorgeous rooms and a lovely breakfast in the morning. It was very cosy with the log fire burning in the lounge. We had everything we needed. The staff were very accommodating. I felt very relaxed there. Broadway is a beautiful quaint village, and the surrounding areas are also beautiful. There is a long drive you can go on that visits all the areas of beauty in the Cotswolds. Recommend a trip to Bourton-on-the-water also. I would definitely return to the Lygon Arms. Thank you.
