The beach is truly stunning, featuring clean, well-maintained gravel sand, and the water is quite clear with a sandy bottom. It's definitely a must-visit during the summer months. Conveniently, there is nearby parking available at no charge for up to four hours currently. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking. The only downside was that the pier was disappointing as it was closed and not available for children's activities, despite visiting on three different occasions. However, I would still suggest families visit this beach for its beauty and the wonderful walking experience it offers.

This is actually a really great place to visit on this part of the coast. Great crab fishing of the pier! If you don’t have the gear they sell it right at the beginning of the pier itself. Plenty of reasonable parking. Lovely little food places to eat. Small fun fair type thing right at the end!

I really liked Herne Bay Pier; most piers across the country are either overpriced or run down, but this pier was the perfect balance. We had a nice cup of coffee from a kiosk and there were some nice shops to browse in. Lots of people crabbing which was fun to watch.

Lovely wander along the pier with lovely small stalls and eateries to explore. Good seating options. The pizza pannini place was so friendly, dogs welcomed, and amazing value fresh lunch served. Brilliant.

Lovely pier. Little shops along the side, which is quaint and a few rides at the end. Shame it doesn't stretch a far as the old pier but quaint.

We went here to enjoy the beach and have fun in the arcade too had a great time!! The water wasn’t the cleanest but it’s the UK so can’t expect much. Its not a sandy beach but there is some sand definitely bring slippers though as the rocks do hurt! Other than that there are so many affordable restaurants and things to do will definitely come back!!

Delicious!

I don’t know if the two behind the counter are related but 💥!.. they are in wicked sync!

tastier beef than Brick Lane and we appreciated the toasted Bagel too!

However when I comes to potions…
It’s gotta be East End heavy (white beigel, if you’re asking)

Love what you do and we’ll be back again and again and again

…sooner than East anyway, 😏

Top place, a little gem of independent retailers. Great views to shore. Thai, doughnuts and chips, something for everyone. Crab fishing looks popular.

We had a Sunday mid-morning stroll on the front of Herne Bay front. The sun came out and the jumper came off. Lovely time and had time for a tea and cake on the pier. This place was busy but as the weeks go by it's gonna be full of sun seekers. I love the feel of the atmosphere at Herne Bay. We will be back soon.....

The ice cream hut is a nice place to go for a cup or tea or coffee on colder days. The prices are reasonable, the coffee was nice and the staff were friendly and polite. We ordered a flat white and an americano with oat milk and it came to £5.20. They also do a cream tea for £4.20 which I might have next time.

Great public space. Good food choices. Sea views. Seating areas. Toilets. Fun fair too. Worth a family visit.
Also holds open air concerts.

Visited here at the end of May on a Sunday , come here about five times a year . As you drive down the road to the pier plenty of parking meters on the right hand side of the road . Just a bit further along you have a car park on the beach near the clock tower . This one is number plate recognition and you just put your details and pay in the way out. Plenty of lovely shops to visit on the pier in the stalls , a market stall just at the front normally sells fresh Kent strawberries or cherries on a Sunday . You have a little shop on the right that sells all the crabbing lines and bucket and spades. On the left of the pier you will find a lovely little place for ice creams and milkshakes and somewhere to sit and watch the world go by. You have a number of different stalls for food , fish and chips, Thai, burgers , wood fire oven pizza , fresh fish in a tub . Also at the end of the pier are a few fairground stalls and rides for small children. No fee to enter the pier and just a lovely atmosphere for all. Just as you exit the pier you have a few amusements for the children which is always fun and a small cafe in one of them that I have always had excellent service from and a great price for families . If you do visit you can also park down some side turnings a few roads back from the sea for free.

Lovely little seaside town for a day out good fish and chips and rides and amusements. The beach is a stone beach but still nice when the sun is out. You can also go crabbing from the pier.

Always saddened to not have the original pier no more since the late 70s or the old skating rink and other facilities now too but what they've done now is fantastic for all ages, so much to offer to eat drink, entertainment. Prices are good and the pier is always clean.

Lovely pier with stunning views as well as plenty of entertainment for kids and adults. There are a few cafes and art huts selling all sorts of creative goods. The pier is partially covered, which is great for when it’s not too dry outside 😉

Very busy and a little tricky with a pram as the side where huts are with little shops inside is very enclosed and when busy hard to navigate. But lovley atmosphere on the pier.
