I can’t recommend this shop highly enough. Everything I look for online I can find here for the same price or even cheaper. But here you get added value, because the staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. Plus they offer excellent warranties so you don’t have to worry about getting poor quality or something going wrong. They also offer a fantastic delivery service with helpful and pleasant staff. If you live locally I would 100% advise you to go here and stop shopping online for electrical goods. I love the security of knowing I am getting honest advice, great quality and I can take it back to town if it goes wrong! RECOMMEND!

Wow! What a great team, needed a cooker for my place. Didn't expect service that went above and beyond, but that's exactly what i received from Mark B and Ben. Nothing was too much trouble. Via phone, and emails, even when i was 5,000 miles away, they took care of my install, following through with emails, and confirmation that everything had gone according to plan, just as they promised it would. I can't recommend these guys enough!

Superb customer service and outstanding value for money from a local company.

After Vicky in the Totnes store recommended that the LEC fridge and freezer would meet my needs, I read the reviews on the John Lewis website, but I knew I would buy from Beacon. Past experience with this company over many years told me I’d be wasting my time looking elsewhere. The whole purchase – the fridge and freezer, free delivery, disposal charges and reversal of one door – was outstanding value for money. Why search online when a local company can provide what you need at the right price, with excellent service from everyone concerned, both in person and on the phone?

This is a brilliant shop. I highly recommend it. The staff are helpful, friendly and never rushed but give as much time as you need to make a choice and they know their stuff.I have recently purchased a cooker, fridge freezer and cooker extractor and had my old appliances removed and cannot rate them highly enough. I like to support local business but more than this if something goes wrong I can pick up the phone and talk to a real person or go into the shop. So much more satisfactory than on line and good prices too.

Big shout out to Beacon Electrical in Totnes. Our dishwasher died so we visited the shop on 3rd December to order a replacement. Ben was really helpful and gave lots of advice to help us choose the right one but was very apologetic that he couldn’t guarantee delivery before Christmas - no surprise given Covid restrictions. However, I received a phone call a week ago to say that they had one in stock and it was delivered today! It was installed by two very friendly and helpful young men who made sure it was working properly and also took away the old machine. So one very happy lady. Would 100% recommend Beacon and will definitely use them again - thank you so much and Happy Christmas to you all!

Recently bought an integrated fridge/freezer from Beacon Electorical Totnes and was very impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of service. Excellent understanding of what was needed and I did not feel pressured to purchase immediately. Everything was carried out on time, old machine taken away and kitchen left clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

We like to buy locally not least to support the local market. However, Beacons Totnes always excel in many areas including at a good price. However a couple of weeks ago our tumble drier went on the blink so we decided to buy another one. Knowing the model we contacted Beacons but they could only deliver several days hence. We were in a hurry and to cut a long story short they had one in stock in Totmes but no delivery slot. Customer service at it's best....the staff delivered after they had finished in the shop all day, on their way back to Plymouth. As if this wasn't good enough they even refused the handsome tip I offered! Well done Beacons!!

I've just recently moved into the area and got ALL my appliances through them. They're super friendly and extremely helpful in going to great length to get you what you want AND explaining everything in detail on how to fix things when they're not working at home, f.e. my TV cable connection. It all worked 100% and I'm extremely happy with my set up now. They are my go-to place on everything electrical. Great people. Highly recommended.

All of the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to support me as I was having problems setting up my tv aerial. They were unable to help me but not for want of trying and gave me a refund on the aerial I had bought. The problem was not one they could sort out but is one I will have to find another solution to but I am very grateful for the extent of their help and it will make me return to them when I wish to make purchases in future. I can truthfully recommend them.

Fantastic local company, My cooker unfortunately went wrong just before Christmas. I Went into beacon electrical and they helped me find a cooker that suited my needs and were even able to deliver and install before Christmas. How good is that!! This is a truly splendid shop. My clock radio stopped working, so I took it in - I was immediately seen to by Mark B., and instead of simply trying to flog me a new one, he dedicated himself fully to seeing if he could bring it back to life again. And he succeeded! This is EXACTLY the kind of attitude we need to escape from our throw-away culture. I commend and thank him from the bottom of my heart.

Just picked up a Dock for my Dyson V11.Exellent service yet again.

On entering the shop we were greeted by friendly staff .we were quickly shown the product we wanted .To my amazement we had the fridge delivered within hours to my grandson flat ..what a fabulous store ,and keen prices excellent. Shall definitely shop there again five star ..with thanks MARK B.

Once again we went to Beacon Electricals where we have always been met with polite, professional, good service. Not a large purchase this time, but just a steam iron and the one we wanted was in stock. We are very satisfied customers.
